Good coffee but food is meh. Wouldn't come here to eat. The best thing I've had is the coffee cake, it's to die for!!!

Placed an online pickup order and the place was fairly busy around lunch time, it was nice inside but too small for my liking if I was to work from my laptop. Over $3 for a small black tea seemed a bit pricey and I was still left feeling thirsty after. Then online it stated you can add avocado to your fancy grilled cheese for an upcharge but there was nowhere to add it online as it only showed an upcharge for bacon only and while I mentioned this in their comment section I wasn't given any avocado and able to pay again in person for it so I was a bit disappointed even though the sandwich was tasty. The 1/2 order of tots was enough for one person but nothing special. It also came with a large pickle spear that was a little on the spicy side. Would I come here, probably not unless I just happen to be in this area but there are a few other food options nearby. read more

Overall this is a solid choice for a good breakfast and lunch spot. The coffee always hits and if it doesn't they're nice about maybe changing it. We got the brew burger and the breakfast burrito and the burger was definitely the winner here. It was super delicious, juicy, and flavorful. The burrito could be better and I was expecting it to come with meat but it didn't have any at all which was a downside; however the sofrito mixed in with the beans was great. read more

This is a surprisingly nice little cafe spot. I have never had their alcoholic offerings or eaten here outside of a brunch-ish window, but I am impressed by the range of the menu that still doesn't veer into outlandishly big territory. The food is casual but well-done, with options that cater to all sorts - picky, vegan, munchy, hungry, etc. I admire a place that keeps a latte at a decent price point with some not-too-basic syrup flavors. Cute little sandwich spot in my neighborhood. My husband and I stopped in for a quick bite. The staff was welcoming, made recommendations since it was our first time visiting. I had the simple grilled cheese ( they have another called the fancy that sounds delicious, but I was just in the mood for the basics). My husband had one of their special burgers with jalapeños, pesto and cheese with fries. The food was great! I came here for the first time today and everything was delicious when I mean everything I mean the breakfast burrito and the latte with the homemade grand orange syrup. The workers were incredibly helpful and the burrito was honestly really amazing the crispy tots in there were just wonderful. The burrito is piping hot and it came automatically with a hot sauce which is a plus in my book. Really loved the food and coffee here. Food items are very different from other breakfast places. They also seem to have a great collection of beers as well. Their tater tots were great as well as the sandwiches and the latte my wife got was so pretty that she didn't even want to drink but also tasted so good. The cherry on the top was the staff as they were very friendly. The cashier that took our order was very nice in suggesting things since it was our first time and we went with her suggestions and it was spot on. Definitely will be back again. read more

Brew Birds is coffee shop that offers many food choices as well. My friends and I met over breakfast. Keoni was the employee who was assisting us and so very personable. We all had breakfast to order and everything came out great. I ordered avocado toast with egg on top and my two friends ordered omelette choices. We also had two sides if tater tots. All three of us drank lattes. And at the end had chocolate muffin for dessert. They currently don't have indoor seating but they have some nice tables outside with portable heaters and few fire pit kind of tables. I was in the area visiting a family member in the nearby rehab hospital and found myself famished. I initially was going to go to the Wendy's in the same parking lot, but the insanely long line made me seek other options, which was fortuitous, as I ended up at Brew Birds. It's a coffee shop meets sandwich shop meets cafe with beer, and I doubt you can go wrong. The Roast Beast sandwiches was one of the best sandwiches I've had in some time - the beef was rare and high quality, and the other ingredients were equally delicious and well proportioned: cheese, pickled onion, roasted peppers, vinaigrette, basil and aoili. The bread is also just right - soft inside, crusty outside but not so crusty it hurts the roof of your mouth. If I had been able to stay in town longer I would have made repeat visits. Perfect stop for coffee and breakfast! We found Brew Birds on Yelp as a nearby coffeeshop from our church. I got a matcha latte. A lot of other places make this very sweet and I was happy that it wasn't because I could actually enjoy the matcha flavor. My husband got a special flavor- Horchata and it had a nice balance of sweet and cinnamon. They also serve beer so we'll have to make it back for a glass another time! First visit! The customer service was great. The gentlemen behind the register answered all of my many questions about the establishment, the menu and beverage offerings, specials, and discounts, ect... Really nice space which seems to be in transition. Maybe because they're not entertaining indoor dining at the moment only take out and delivery. However, they do have some outdoor seating nearby. My order, a breakfast burrito, a fancy grilled cheese, a PJ&B, loaded tots, and a few bottled beverages, ginger-ale and a cola. The food was all very delicious. I in love with the PJ&B. It'll be hard to try anything else, but I'm sure I will! Since moving to Loudoun County, I quickly realized that Brew Birds was a great, quality place to get brunch and coffee. They use Counter Culture coffee, which is one of the best brands IMO. It is a quaint restaurant with friendly staff to take your order. It takes a bit to get your food but it is WELL worth it. There aren't that many seats, so we have done "to go" before. I have gotten the chicken tender wrap, chicken & waffles, basic b, italian wrap, green fried egg, fancy grilled cheese, tots, the special crunch wrap burger, and the chocolate chip cookie. All were great and passed with flying colors for me. The very first time I've went was the chicken tender wrap and the cookie. The cookie is fresh and hot from the oven--I highly recommend it! The only thing that I didn't exactly *love* was the chicken & waffles since it was a waffle with just chicken tenders on top. I LOVE chicken tenders, but I was expecting a little more considering it was a brunch special. Also, be prepared that "breakfast food" ends at 2, then they switch to sandwiches. I would recommend doing breakfast time since they have lunch items then too. They are pretty strict at cutting off breakfast food--this isn't a place to come at 2:15 and expect to get breakfast menu items. I usually get a vanilla or caramel latte, but sometimes the vanilla isn't sweet enough for my taste. Since the pandemic, I am lucky that Brew Birds delivers to me because I'm addicted. Brew Birds is a really cute little cafe/brewery with all the vibes for every age, whether it's grabbing a sandwich with friends, getting coffee while studying, or grabbing a beer after work with your colleagues! I came here one morning before work to grab a little pick me up coffee as it was close to where I worked, and I thought it would be more unique than the classic starbucks option in the safeway across the street. The staff is amazingly friendly and calmly explained the different coffee options and flavors they had too, and made a great rec depending on what I was feeling and what I normally like! Their smiles just make you super happy and excited to order as soon as you walk in. I ended up ordering a small hot vanilla capuccino, and the quality of coffee is just amazing. Super fresh, not burnt, no aftertaste, and extra hot with such a cute design for the cappucino too. Loved it, will definitely have to be back to try some of their other options and beers! Watch out, look out! Went here after reading all rave reviews. Inviting atmosphere and the staff were welcoming. Bought the breakfast burrito and a nitro coffee. Coffee was good. Honesty I was shocked how small the burrito was, but maybe it was going to be awesome. Yeah, not so much. The burrito has a strange sweet taste that was out of place. The scrambled eggs were off as well. The whole thing just felt reheated. It tasted like the breakfast one would get on an airplane. Maybe the other food items are better, the place was certainly packed. At the least pick something else besides the burrito. read more

4,5 stars Wow, if I had a place like Brew Birds in my neighborhood, I would certainly be regular. They serve excellent espresso drinks and everything on the menu sounds great. I'm not a beer drinker, but many of my friends are, so this would be an excellent spot to pick up a local beer for a party or dinner. The cafe has a nice patio area which would be nice in warm weather. The only reason I'm subtracting a half star is due to the interior, which is not designed for hanging out (and maybe that was done on purpose to discourage people from parking & working inside). read more

Small coffee shop between Arcola and Stone Ridge. Tbh if you aren't driving from Middleburg into the direction of DC, you are going to have to drive out of the way to get here. The quality of food here is definitely nice but pretty expensive relative to other coffee shop options around. I bought 3 drinks 2 avo toasts and a sandwich and paid $49.53. The location if very small as a coffee shop should be but there isn't much space to sit as the room is filled with what looked like to be beer?? Not sure what type of vibe or target market they are looking to hit. Do they brew both coffee and beer?? I'm not sure tbh. Regardless if I'm in the area I might stop by again but not sure if I will commute out of my way to come here. read more

This was the perfect casual brunch place! My date and I split the Italian breakfast wrap and the green egg sandwich, both with pesto, and they were both delicious! Not too heavy or too creamy - but satisfying nonetheless. I loved the crunchy hash brown in the wrap while my date loved the soft croissant in the green egg sandwich. I visited Brew Birds this past weekend, for a cold brew and breakfast. I've never eaten Avocado Toast before - so I ordered theirs - including the option for an egg and bacon - spicy. The cold brew is a "Nitro" version - so it was not served with ice - not as cold as I would like - but it was strong and tasty. The Avocado Toast came up in short order, I broke the yolk to get it on the other ingredients. The bread was toasted perfectly. It's a good breakfast item! However, it was not "spicy" at least to my palate. The young lady at the counter who took my order advised me that the "spicy" comes from a sprinkle of red chili pepper flakes. I could use some more heat! I'd also like to see a thicker bacon used - the one I experienced was sliced to thin. Still, everything tasted yummy. I'll be back to try out some of their other breakfast items. I believe the sign stated that breakfast food items are served until 2:00 pm. They also have a number of beer taps and offer a range of local craft brews. They utilize the Untappd check in system - there is a large flat screen HD TV mounted on one wall - which displays the beer check ins of customers - across the bottom of the screen. They claim to accept Apple Pay for payment. I attempted to use Apple Pay from my iPhone - but their system would not accept the card via Apple Pay (one that I use all the time via Apple Pay). I then proceeded to use the actual physical card to make payment. So they've got some kinks to work out of the system. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. I'm so glad that another coffee shop has opened up in the place of mug'n muffin. I loved having a local breakfast and coffee place and it's nice to see that they've done a great job in creating a beautiful shop that also serves great food and beer on tap. They also have counter culture nitro brew on tap for your tasting pleasure. Counter Culture coffee has been one of my favorite roasters and I'm glad they've been thoughtful about choosing a great roaster to bring in house. For me your roaster is the make it or break it when it comes to coffee shops. No matter how good the food, if your coffee sucks... no one is coming back! They don't do pour overs and only offer drip, but it's nice that they are offering single origin roasts. I was fortunate to have Ethiopian Yirgacheffe offered on drip. The croissant sandwiches were served warm and there isn't anything fancy about them... just a good breakfast sandwich. I'll have to come back to taste their lunch and dinner offerings. The PJ & B Fried egg is a great sandwich. I think the pepper jelly is the highlight... the sweetness with the heat is prefect to cut through the richness of the sandwich. I just would have loved to see more bacon... the thickness is great, but they are two very small pieces. Just one or two more pieces would do wonders in securing confidence in the consumer. The thoughtfulness in combination of ingredients is encouraging... you don't want that confidence to dissipate because you're skimping on the protein. Update: they actually listened and added more bacon! Love that the owners take customer's suggestions to heart! They have definitely made the store esthetics beautiful. They were intentional and thoughtful in creating a kids corner for moms who want to come in for a coffee break. It's small but cute. They have changing tables in the all-gender bathroom which also means dad's with infants can use the changing station (thoughtful). They have 2 high chairs for your children. While I don't go here as often as I would like, every time is great. They added a pretty good lunch menu and the kids love the quesadilla. The coffee is amazing BUT the unique beer selections are really great and rotate. My wife and I came in, pre-pandemic, to plan vacations and pay bills away from the kids. They have a nice outdoor area and that has been nice in the fall. Some of the beers have a higher ABV count so keep that in mind if you are planning to drive after getting a beer or two or three! The owners are super nice and we see them and their van out in the community. It's great to support a small business! read more

I'm glad Brew Birds has survived the Covid19 closures - in my opinion they have come back even stronger than before. My caramel latte was on point and delicious and the falafel bites I chose for a snack were served up piping hot with two dipping sauces. It all hit the spot beautifully. Sadly there is no indoor seating yet but they do have a lovely patio with umbrellas over the tables if you'd like to linger on a sunny day. The matcha latte was earthy and tasty but the price was a bit high for a small 6oz cup. The grilled cheese was delightfully cheesy and tasty but for $9, also a bit high considering all that accompanied it was a pickle spear. Great customer service, called in an order and it was ready by the time I drove over. The staff was very friendly and waited for me to browse their beer selection when I came in. They have tons of local beer in their fridge which was cool! I often ask them to make me a pack of their choice and they're always great. Have yet to have a bad beer that they've recommended. The food here was amazing (highly recommend the breakfast burrito and the Breakfast Sandwhich). I also grabbed a logo hat and sticker which were super cool! When I went to check out, they were quick and friendly and I watched them sanitize everything I touched on my way out which was great! This was the last food spot my family, bf, and I went to before we departed back to FL. It wasn't too far from my brother's place also, so they were happy to find a new yummy spot for them to enjoy when we're not Yelping with them lol. This is the spot where we discovered our favorite beer, Hardy Park Bourbon's Gingerbread Stout. We loved it so much that a few weeks later we found it in Total Wine and bought a big bottle of it. Thank you Brew Birds for supplying such amazingness. We got the nitro version so ohmygoodness it was creamy! I ordered the PJ&B Sandwich which was soooo good. Pepper Jelly and Gruyere just MAKES. SENSE. I also got a nitro beer from their fridge but I just remember it had "affogato" in it... so sorry affogato the name! All in all, it was a good casual place to have breakfast. I had to ask for my coffee order from staff, why didn't you announce my name? Everyone else's name was called for their orders. This has happened before even when I have ordered in person.
