CD I.

Great spot to watch a game. My husband and I drank some wine, while watching a Dodgers and a Lakers game. We really enjoyed the relaxed vibes and laid back atmosphere.

Dutch Tequila!

Excellent brewery spot with great beer & relaxed service!…read more Located against the railroad track on the back side of the building, it's a bit difficult to find, but just drive all the way in to the large alley, I guess Maple Ave. Nice wide open set up, perfect for a cold beer on a warm day. Wife went for the Crimson Horizon, and she enjoued it. I got a sip and it was smoother butterier than the Firestone cali squeeze? I tried the Avocado Honey Ale since can't go wrong with description of amber honey ale! Was told it was a version of their kolsch with local honey. Wow, it was smooth with a bit of sweet finish, so addictive!!! Still had hours to drive so couldn't just have as many as I wanted, but I checked online and seemed Albertsons sold it so figured I can just pick them up back at home. But the gentleman resting at the bar told me he delivers their beer but only up to the hills. I guess maybe available in stores up to Camarillo, but not over that hill/mountain. I had to have more of it, and they had 6 packs in the cooler for purchase so went for a pack. The green cans are such delightful vessels to hold the even more delightful liquid inside. Wife even cut out the top and using the cute cans as planters, lol! The cans poured out at home was excellent as well, very fresh and refreshing and could get tiny hints of avocado on sips. Just a great beer! After browsing the brewery, it seems avocado honey ale is their signature beer, so I got lucky to choose that from the menu, lol. While enjoying the beer, the amtrak train blew it's horn to leave from the Carpinteria station, so we rushed out to wave and enjoy seeing that go by right in front as well. I am sure the locals were shaking their heads at our excitement of seeing the train go by, one gentleman when leaving even complimented my kid's dance moves from when we were out there to greet and send off the train, lol! Awesome local spot and great folks, just a very relaxing spot to enjoy the delicious avo honey ale! Just hidden so maybe not many visitors to Carpinteria find it, but I picked it out from search for brewery and chose this over the other one on the main streets. What a find for an out of towner! Hope they can expand out or grow their delivery area, maybe get it sent to total wine which must have a distribution center. Otherwise, this is a must stop for any SB trips for sure!

This dining experience was not good... Very frustrating to say the least! while the food was tasty…read moreour dining experience was annoying. We waited about 15 minutes until one of the servers came to take our drink order and then we sat for a half hour before anyone came to take our food order. And the only reason the guy came over was because I kind of gave some eye contact. He was very nice and apologized for the wait. And I sure wish he would've written down our order because it came out totally wrong. We ordered an extra patty on the side, it was missing. They gave me ranch dressing for my salad and I ordered balsamic. They forgot our sweet potato fries so we mentioned it to the runner who served us and they didn't come out until our food was almost all eaten and they still charged us for it! Crappy customer service! Then we waited way too long for the check and I had to go find someone to ask for it. This was the longest stop for a burger ever! Seriously you guys need to pull it together! We've dined here twice before and never experienced issues like this. We came from Ventura as we prefer it over the one near us so this was not worth the drive. It just seemed like a flaky night of unorganized everything! Probably won't bother making the trip again.

Someone said the drinks tasted like white wine and it's true. This place has Goldilock's approval…read morebecause it's not too sweet and not to sour. They have a nice back area with a nice outdoor patio. A great place to chill and enjoy your drinks. Service here was pretty good when you order and she did come by to take our trash from our food order. Wild flower-Standard almost like neutral white wine Rare earth- feels like a nice warmed baked good in a drink with the cinnamon and spice. Sierra madre- has that quality aged wine flavor. Milk and honey had that creamy sweetness (not overly sweet) High and dry reminds me of a white wine with the crisp apple notes Kombucha here is not sour. And the jasmine has lite notes but I tasted more hops Elderberry echinacea (these are good for respiratory health/ infections btw) - has that lactose flavor

How time flies.....Its has been wonderful to see this location grow with the diversity of their offerings and the quality of their products. I am a traditionist with it comes to ciders so I like it dry and apply forward- but I branched out this time, at the suggestion of the employee, and was surprised to find out that I can enjoy mead and Kombucha just as much. At Apiary, they offered some non sweet mead and Kombucha drinks. The flavors of the offering were spot on and not fake tasting due to the natural ingredients. The Apiary is definitely worth a visit to kick back and relax with a good drink....

Amazing bar with a highly skilled bartender (on a Tuesday night) who managed to deliver…read moreconsistently perfect cocktails with zero help, to a crowd. The cocktails are highly creative, diverse in flavor and design, and really could stand up to any you would find at a top cocktail bar in a major city. The exterior doesn't scream "must come in" but you absolutely should. Is it a tiki bar? Yes, but in the best way. And the bartender deserves applause for pulling off 3+ quite complex cocktails every 5 minutes off of memory and without any support.

Test Pilot lands somewhere in the orbit of tiki without fully crash-landing on a bamboo runway, and…read morehonestly, that works in its favor. In a stretch of Lower State packed with breweries, wine bars, and roaming weekend energy-drink humans in vintage bowling shirts, it threads the needle nicely between cocktail bar and tropical escape pod. The menu leans tiki-adjacent rather than deep-cut exotica, but the drinks are smartly built and avoid the "every problem can be solved with more rum" philosophy. There's a solid spread of spirits across the board, which makes the place feel more welcoming to a broader nightlife crowd instead of strictly rum disciples clutching vintage Trader Vic's mugs. The Oaxacan Dead was the standout for me. Smoky, balanced, endlessly sippable. One of those drinks where every sip quietly talks you into ordering another without turning into a sugar avalanche. The Jungle Bird was also great, though presented more in the direction of a Negroni than the punchier tropical versions you usually see. Bitter, restrained, and easy to settle into. Crowd-wise, things tilted a little frat-floaty as the night rolled on, but the staff handled everything smoothly and kept the vibe from turning into full pirate mutiny. Service stayed friendly and composed even when the volume of the room started climbing like a malfunctioning theremin. Big bonus points for the location and outdoor seating. Being right in the middle of Lower State makes it an easy launch point or final stop depending on your evening trajectory. Grab a drink, people-watch, drift between breweries and wine spots, repeat as necessary.
