We typically go to Lush but I had seen this business going in a few months ago and I wanted to see if they were open yet and try them first with Lush bring our back up. I'm glad we went to Buff city first as they were open and fully stocked. The staff was extremely friendly, very helpful, and offered some coffee beans to help my daughter to stop sneezing (she was being a bit overzealous with deeply smelling everything haha). My kids are young so we were able to distract one while the other shopped but what made it cool was they were making the products out front where you can see and interact. One was working on putting a whipped soap or lotion in a container and another had a kitchen aid mixing bowl and was putting ingredients into the bowl, this made it fun for not only the kids but my husband and myself found it interesting as well. I always love an open kitchen, and this is basically an open kitchen for soaps and lotions, it's very cool. The bath bombs smell great. I did directly compare these with Lush and this is my thoughts on the bath bombs directly compared to lush are as followed: Lush bath bombs do lots of colors and "big shows" as they break down they typically bubble so much they float and often different types of bubbles to move them in a specific pattern such as in a circle or a rocket that moves around the tub like it has rocket boosters. Buff Citys bath bombs, although very nice sink in the tub, the colors they leave are more natural and more of a milky/chalky residue vs bright blue or other vivid colors like lush. Buff city's bath bombs do not move around the tub and they are no as interesting as far as shapes go. Lush and Buff City seem to put oil on the bath bombs and leave your skin feeling moisturized and soft. I like both companies bath bombs for different reasons, at lush you get more entertainment with your bath, the dents are very strong, and the colors and shapes are interesting but the bath bombs are $7-$10. Buff City has excellent employees, a fun open kitchen for kids to watch products getting main and most things in the store are $7-$8 . I'll continue to shop at both and look forward to see if Buff City starts adding some floating bombs with more vivid colors for kiddos.

Not that I have anything against the mall, I just think its easier to get in and out here. The 3 star rating comes from the fact that my opinion of Bath and Body Works as a brand has eroded over time. Long gone are the days when I could consistently find the scents that I had become attached to because everything is temporary now. "Out with the old and in with the new" seems to be their primary concern. The scents disappear so quickly that by the time I run out of something I can't find it again. But my favorite products being discontinued isn't my biggest beef. What's worse is the sticker shock I get every time I come here. Some of their lotions now cost nearly $20 and travel size items can be over $10. Of course there's always a sale happening or a coupon available, but even after the mathematical trickery disguised as discounts are applied, the prices are still nowhere near bargain territory. As long as my loyalty, however slight, outweighs my discontent, I'll keep buying their stuff for holidays and special occasions. The rest of the time though, I'll get bath and body products from places like Walmart or Target for a fraction of the price.

And I hope this description will let people know what an awesome business Theresa has... First of all, the complex is older and has been there for years. You'd have no idea until you peek in the window, what a little treasure of a business lies behind that average shopping center door. When you walk in, you are immediately greeted by lovely smells, cool air conditioning, and a beaming Theresa who you can tell really takes pride in her shop and her product. Tons of hand crafted soaps, many made with goats milk from a farm in Keller, a perfume bar that uses essential oils, little craft pieces of jewelry and copper work, bath bombs and fizzies, bath salts, and a whole line of beer soap made with brews from local breweries here in Texas. And guess who makes all of the product? Theresa! In her own workshop which sits right behind some amazing and huge sliding barn style doors. She's even built her own furniture displays from odds and ends, and broken items that need a little love! If that's not someone who has put their heart and soul into their work, I don't know who is! I purchased three soaps, two milk and honey (local Texas honey!) and a blackberry wine soap with, you guessed it- wine from a Texas winery. Theresa said she loves to support her other local business owners by using their products. Oh! She also has a full series of classes- soap making, perfume making, bath salt making! So awesome! Scentchips are awesome!…read more They're like those scented wax melt things you may have seen at Wal-Mart, where you put a tea light underneath a warmer filled with the wax and it melts and releases its fragrance. The three main things I love about Scentchips are that they smell awesome, cover a large area and last forever (like 120 hours per box or something). I use them when there are bad odors (I'm looking at you, cat) or for some simple aromatherapy. You can pick one of their pre-mixed fragrances (I prefer the floral, spa and fruit blends), or mix your own. They even have starter gift packs. Only negative thing is that they're kind of pricey ($11.95 for a small box), but again, they last forever and you can sometimes find stuff on clearance. Also, the ladies that run the store are very friendly and helpful. Stop by and start sniffing!
