Great selection of the every thing wanted at a boutique! Even my favorite - mahjong items! No Nora Fleming but that's okay.

I have visited this store a few times over the past ten years, as it is in my neighborhood and very convenient when I'm in need of a last minute gift. The store does have some cute items (but not much different than Hobby Lobby). I love shopping and would probably shop at this boutique more often but I actually avoid the store because I find the employees or owners very unfriendly and that has stayed consistent over the years. I have never been "welcomed" at Hearts Desire or asked "is there something you are looking for" or been told "thank you for shopping". I get a very inhospitable vibe from this store that comes off very catty. Anyway no more shopping here for me, not even in a time crunch. I will spend my money elsewhere and I suggest the same for other shoppers. read more

I first want to apologize for my previous review. It wasn't right of me to accuse someone of poor customer service. Nor was it right for me to insult the products this store sells. Today I decided to return. Upon arriving, I was greeted with the warmest smile ever! They lady and I spoke briefly about the history of the store. I can see why they have been around for a while! This store carries high-quality items! Especially now that it will be Halloween in a few months. The decor is tasteful and not to mention, adorable! They also carry handbags, lotions, jewelry, kitchenware, and stuff for children. It's a one stop gift shop for sure! I ended up purchasing a pumpkin, a cheeseboard, and a ladybug cheese knife. Another lady helped me with selecting my cheeseboard. She then offered to help me carry it into my car. How thoughtful!! I'm so happy that I came back! I can't wait to return, and I will soon. read more

I came across Heart's Desire while I was shopping online for a specific Mackenzie Childs item. (I am not from the area). I cannot say enough about the amazing customer service and hospitality that I experienced here. Sherri has been incredibly helpful in getting my orders to me - everything arriving on time and in perfect condition. Heart's Desire has become my go to place to shop for items for my home and also for gift giving (they also gift wrap)! I can't wait to visit this gem of a store the next time I am in Dallas. I found this boutique while in search for the perfect hostess gift. As soon as I walked in the ladies were eager to help and walked me through the store. They have a wide variety of McKenzie Child's collection, Tyler Candles, Nest Candles and almost every gift idea you could think of. I purchased the Tyler's Laundry Detergent gift set that included 3 fragrences and was only $29! Hearts Desire also takes phone orders and does adorable gift wrapping. After just moving to the area I was desperate search of a place selling Tyler candles (amazing). I Google and found this amazing little store to the right of Tom Thumb. Such a cute and generous selection of monogrammed napkins, Tyler candles, Caldrea products, Vera Bradley bags and (what seems like) a million other things. Great for things like house warming gifts, bridal parties, stationary, birthday gifts, new ideas and a place to spend more money for things you really have to have. read more

Heart's Desire is my go-to store whenever I need any kind of gift...birthday presents, teacher gifts, Christmas presents, etc. They have such a great selection in stock and in many different price ranges. The ladies are always so kind and helpful! I love all of their custom ordering options as well. The free gift wrapping is icing on the cake! I always judge if I will return to a store based upon being greeted and/or acknowledged. The owner/lady behind the counter said nothing to me in the 5+ minutes I was in there. She did manage to talk up someone else who came in 2 minutes later. The store is not large and aside from the MacKenzie Childs merchandise, it had nothing to offer anything that couldn't be found at the Sample House and Candle shop or Nicholson-Hardie. I suppose I didn't look wealthy enough or not enough jewelry/make up. I was in hospital scrubs. Note to the owner/shop keeper: looks can be deceiving -- many of the most modestly dressed do have disposable incomes to spend on home decor and candles. read more

Pleasantly surprised with the selection of well-known brands and supply of stock. I have been a loyal customer to the store for 25 years. That didn't seem to matter when I was shopping one day and my purse accidentally touched a glass causing it to fall off and brake. The owner immediately came over and started cleaning up the glass and then proceeded to tell me that I needed to pay for it. They have lost my business, and I'll continue to shop at Nordstrom where they do provide quality customer service. I absolutely love Heart's Desire! They have the cutest gifts - whether you are looking for collegiate/sorority, religious, candles, or baby stuff they have it! The women who work here are very sweet and will do their best to accommodate your needs, including free gift wrapping on full price items (I know it used to be - if it isn't anymore, I apologize for false information!) I've shopped here many times and will continue to do so! I marked pricing as "Moderate," because I have always found items within that range here. They do have everything from inexpensive to pricey, but I find them reasonable for how cute and personal the gifts are. read more

This is a cute little shop. First went here to get my son's footprint taken for a Pitter Pat Pottery piece and found some other cute baby items.
