We waited for maybe 7 minutes (not long) before we were seen by the technician, she was kid friendly with my son and pretty nice to me also. We were then seen by Dr.Nyguen, kid friendly, great before manners, and very through on everything needed for my son and I. She gave me more knowledge on my eye care than I've ever gotten from any other doctor and she not only answered all my questions, she was very patient with my son. I have a dry eye issue and the medication that was prescribed to me at another Eye Center is not what I needed after Dr. Binder explained to me about dry eye vs. inflammation of the eye. He suggested that I give iVIZIA a try and see if it makes a difference and if it does that's great and if it doesn't I can come back and we'll discuss the next steps. I just really appreciate his honesty and him not wanting to slap a band-aid on it and send me off. He's very professional, patient, kind, honest and efficient and I'm just glad that I found Mann Eye Institute and a great Eye Doctor! I would highly recommend them for all of your eye care needs! The staff is very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable and Nikki could do her job blind folded! I mean that in the nicest way...she's quick, thorough, easygoing, patient and has you all checked out before you know it! I tried on a lot of glasses and even though she had some other people to attend too after me she didn't rush me she made me feel like I was important and her only client and I didn't need to hurry. She's helpful in giving her honest feedback on what looks better on you and she's measuring you and plugging in all the information and it all goes so quickly and after you've made your decision on what your going with and in my case it was glasses and sunglasses - she gives you your information and what your insurance covers and then paperwork and her business card and lets you know about when your glasses might be ready and if you have any further questions to please feel free to call her! Since then, she's rotated between the Cypress and Tomball offices, which has worked out perfectly for me since I live between the two. What keeps me coming back is how thorough and attentive she is during every eye exam. She takes the time to explain everything in a clear and understandable way, making sure you know exactly what's going on with your eye health. One thing I really appreciate is how she always compares your current exam with your previous one, walking you through any changes or findings in detail. It's not easy to find a doctor you genuinely trust and feel comfortable with, so I feel lucky to have been able to stick with her all these years. I definitely and highly recommend her! I'm giving one less star due to my experience picking up my glasses. I never received any notification about when they were ready, so I had to call and ask. When someone answered, they said, "Can you give me 2 minutes? Let me check on that for you," but didn't even ask for my name. I was then put on hold for 10 minutes before they finally came back and then asked for my name. When I went in to pick them up, the person at the front asked for my name but then just sat there doing nothing. I was on my lunch break and a bit pressed for time, so it was frustrating to wait another 10 minutes while he just sat at his desk before finally getting up to retrieve my glasses. When you do go to him do not expect him to answer much of any question you might ask ? He just doesn't ? He is an [ eye machine doctor ] In other words he is a robotic Machine that does exactly what he Terms best for medicare ? He does not care about what you think nor about questions you nay ask ? He doesnt have time for that ? " getum in getum out dr. " Fast as possible ? But then this us our medicare system that tells doctors what they may do or may not do ? And what they may not do is anything above standard in an out that might cist them a dollar ? If doctors do not do as medicare tells them then they are dropped from the list of preferred doctors and even more are blacklisted among the medicare companies ? However that still does not explain his behavior pattern ? He simply does what he does and if you try and ask anything it just goes ignored ? His one main nurse there, will jump in and take the load off the old doc very quickly and when you go to deal with her : " she is a trained assualt tiger" Yes, youll loose every time and go away with howsoever this clinic wants you to go away ? And they do want you to go away ? But not before they do just enough to get what money they can from your medicare ?
