I went in for an initial consultation and made an appointment for the extractions, but one tooth became infected a week before my procedure. I called the hotline on a Sunday evening and was able to talk to Dr. Johnson over the phone and he scheduled me for an emergency appointment the following morning for that one tooth! After getting all of them removed, I had to go to NYC for work the following week with unbearable pain (I'm not sure why I did that, oops). I called the office from NYC and they were SO kind enough to give me information about seeing an oral surgeon there and even talked to them over the phone to explain my situation! If I somehow find additional wisdom teeth in my mouth, I'll definitely go back! (but hopefully not lol)

From the beginning his front desk staff were lovely and extremely helpful and accommodating with scheduling. I was very impressed with their COVID precautions and I really did feel safe. Finally the entire process went very smoothly, even though I chose the unconventional local anesthetic route - and I was able to drive home after an hour long procedure. While I hope to avoid further extractions in the future, I would not hesitate to use Dr Stevens again.

Stakos team took weeks to coordinate with insurance. Took the medical insurance decline and never called the dental insurance. Fumbled the dental claim, it had to be resubmitted. On the day of, I wondered why after an hour I hadn't heard progress or she was finished , but that she was being super chatty and they were letting her talk away, just gave her another dose. What? They were letting her talk and cry like entertainment. Hamedani had my son in and out in 60 minutes. To boot the experience Stako was almost $2500 over what was covered by insurance. Cameo $1100. Same coverage on the insurance. Pretty sure the cost of oral surgery hasn't gone down in 5 yrs. Check our anywhere over Stako.

Although this office she moved to did not take my insurance, I was happy to go to Dr. Hollis as she is a wonderful dentist who I knew has provided excellent care to me in doing the dental work I needed. HOWEVER, I'm very disappointed with how this office handles claims (or lack of handling them). I knew I was responsible for my office charges from my first visit and I knew this office was not in my network, but I felt as a patient that I deserve the courtesy of having this dental office submit all the claims for my visits to my insurance as I do get coverage from out of network providers. I found out from my insurance that the claims were submitted to Medicaid, which I have absolutely nothing to do with. The Medicaid office who erroneously received them sent them to the PO Box of my insurance; however, those claims could not be processed coming from Medicaid so they were rejected. My insurance notified this dental office to resubmit, which I just found out from my insurance customer service rep. today, and I can't believe the person at this dental office made such a mistake to send my claims to some Medicaid address instead of the BCBS address which can be obtained either by me, or Blue Cross Blue Shield! Apparently they didn't even call the insurance/C.S. to get the correct information on where to submit it, I guess because they honestly don't care, or were ignorant of following the proper steps.
