Disclaimer: Yes...I am the one that sent JPGs of ALL of our Dental x-rays from the past 4 years prior to our visit. You know... to "cover all bases" We were referred to Dr. Ann from friends who live next door to us in Wheaton. The hubby & I both work in the city so, although we are now "suburbanites", we were iffy about trading in our usual dentist with Saturday hours for Dr. Ann & the Tower Dental staff. Well we gave them a shot... AND WE WILL BE BACK :) Dr. Ann & staff were AMAZING! They fit us both in at the same time so we had a 'kill two birds with one stone' / double date night Dental visit. I had Dr. Ann for my cleaning. She was attentive, personable, and genuinely cared about my well being. Of course I did get the friendly lecture about flossing (I promise I am, Dr. Ann!) - she does it because she cares! The hubby did great as well :) Needless to say we immediately set our 6 month follow up and have recommended Dr. Ann & the rest of the Tower Dental team to two friends already! I understand that not all procedures go according to plan but I had unusual circumstances where I had a lot of facial swelling that took 4 to 6 weeks for the swelling to go down. After the swelling went down I still had tenderness in my top gums and although I thought it could just be still in the healing phase because it was an extensive procedure. I spoke with the Surgeon Dr. Nicholas Zawada whom was a Gem, he was very attentive to my needs following the procedure and the pain that I continued to have. I went to see him and he suggested I see a neurologist because I continued to have tenderness at the top of my mouth. Upon me having another appointment to follow-up with the Prosthodonist Dr. Diana Cuesta I made her aware of the situation that had been going on for a few months now. When they removed the implants to see how the surgery had gone I was in a lot of pain because again there was still tenderness after 4 months which was unusual and I started to moan because of the pain. I was really disappointed with the reaction of Dr. Cuesta because I have been in healthcare for over 30 years and the way I was treated after expressing I was in pain was unacceptable. I considered having the final portion of my procedure done elsewhere because I didn't like that she raised her voice out of dismay from the reaction of me stressing I was in pain. She rudely stated that "she can not work under these circumstances" and asked the person that was assisting her to numb my mouth. I felt as if my pain wasn't important to her and come to find out when they removed the implants my mouth was bleeding and they realized that the top screws in the upper part of my mouth were lodged too deep into my gums and this is what was causing the pain. I'm not stating that it was anyone's fault that this happened but what I do know is I wasn't treated like a patient should be treated when they are clearly in pain. I have put off having the second part of my procedure done because I am traumatized when it comes to having dental work done after all of the pain I endured. I spoke with Bri who works at Clearchoice and explained the situation to her and she informed me that I could have another physician from the company to complete the final stage of my dental work. The office is located in a brick house but once inside it surely doesn't look like a house. Patient areas are clean, bright, and have quite comfortable patient chairs. Most every patient room has a window and the warmth of the outside eases the nervous feeling many people have while at a dentist. The hygienist we have most often is Meg. She remembers her patients and does a good job with cleanings, X-rays, and finding any issues. The "creature comforts" include a coffee/tea/hot chocolate machine, a video game system and small children's wooden train table in the kids waiting room, and on many days there is a massage therapist that can massage legs, feet, hands, and arms while you are having your dental cleaning or procedures done. After your dental appointment the massage therapist can offer a short back massage to ease you back in to your day. Great free services for the patients! Parking is never a problem and covers a large portion of what was the original homes front yard. Seasonal decorations are simple but very well done. We plan on returning here for the years to come even though we don't live nearby. It's worth the trip.

My 5 year old was really afraid and scared, but as soon as Doctor stepped into the room and started talking to her, her fair disappeared. Doctor took her time, showed the equipment, she was very gentle and understanding that first dental visit is very very important for little kids. I don't know how to thank her!!! They have a location close to me but apparently she only works one day there.. so I drove all the way to downers grove location to be seen. Took me an hour to get to this location. I got there 25 mins early only to be waiting over an hour to be taken back. Once I got taken back they took X-rays and sat me down. The doctor came in fairly quick after the X-rays and looked at my tooth and told me I would need to wait another 45 mins for her to redo my filling that cracked. After I sat there and told her I have a baby at home did she just do it for me. But It felt very rushed... PLEASE CONSIDER ELSEWHERE!!

No one but me in the waiting room, and they were still 15 minutes late calling me in. I was pleased by the new X-ray machine that just circles your head. The dentist came in and told me just what another told me - I need three teeth extracted, bone grafts and implants. The "office manager" offered me pricing which was fair. Then, even before I got home, I was texted by him to put up a review! (I must have appeared happy when I left.) My response was, "I will, AFTER the work is done." No reply from him. One of my teeth are broken at the gum line with the one next to it infected and painful. I called yesterday morning to set an appointment to get the work done, and left a voice mail. They still haven't called me back, three days later. THIS is how that office is "managed"? This concerns me greatly, as what if there is a serious issue after the surgery and I am in great pain? Call them? Why? No one calls back? I feel I'd be on my own. They don't do sedative dentistry, however, the DENTIST in this location has many five star reviews... but the business only has one review. I think I'll keep looking around to get this done. This office does not seem managed well nor do they want the business, which after all is said and done, it IS just that - a business. I recently retired from almost 50 years in Senior Sales Management, and this is NOT how to treat customers if you want to grow a business that already has the Fear Factor for most patients/clients. Unethical and predatory billing practices - Upcoded and charged without financial consent!…read moreI visited Tower Dental Associates as a new self-pay patient (no insurance) to fix a tiny chip on my front tooth. My experience with their billing department was an absolute nightmare. Initially, they handed me a shocking bill for $570.00. When I questioned the amount, they admitted they had charged me for a comprehensive new patient exam and X-rays--procedures that were never actually performed. After being caught, they agreed to remove those charges and dropped the bill to $435.00. However, the deception didn't stop there. They billed the remaining 15-minute fix under code D2335 (Resin-Based Composite, 4 or more surfaces/incisal angle). The doctor spent less than 15 minutes simply smoothing down the sharp edge of the chipped tooth. No dental drill was used, no UV curing light was applied, and absolutely no anesthesia was needed or given. A complex 4-surface restoration physically cannot be done in 15 minutes! This is a blatant case of upcoding to match a higher fee. Furthermore, they completely violated standard financial protocols: they never presented a treatment plan or disclosed any pricing prior to the treatment. They just did a 5-minute job and demanded maximum payment. I have already filed a formal billing dispute with their office manager. If you are a self-pay patient, stay away from this place. They will exploit your lack of insurance, inflate your bill with non-existent procedures, and slap you with hidden fees without your prior consent. Unprofessional and deeply dishonest.

The whole staff is wonderful, and take great care to make sure kids feel comfortable. The staff actually makes dental cleaning fun for kids, and I can't appreciate that enough. My daughter actually looks forward to going there! I highly recommend this practice.
