My experience is always wonderful. Dr. Kats and staff are all knowledgeable and helpful and very friendly.

The hubby & I moved from West Loop just about a year ago. Not going to lie, I am VERY SELECTIVE when it comes to my dentist. The hubby? My MIL (Mother In Law) always chose his dentist up until we got married. My criteria: a dentist in a convenient location, great Yelp rating (because I'm a working boss lady with no time to do Q&A on businesses), and above all, hours that meet my needs (aka late night hours and/or Saturdays). Disclaimer: Yes...I am the one that sent JPGs of ALL of our Dental x-rays from the past 4 years prior to our visit. You know... to "cover all bases" We were referred to Dr. Ann from friends who live next door to us in Wheaton. The hubby & I both work in the city so, although we are now "suburbanites", we were iffy about trading in our usual dentist with Saturday hours for Dr. Ann & the Tower Dental staff. Well we gave them a shot... AND WE WILL BE BACK :) Dr. Ann & staff were AMAZING! They fit us both in at the same time so we had a 'kill two birds with one stone' / double date night Dental visit. I had Dr. Ann for my cleaning. She was attentive, personable, and genuinely cared about my well being. Of course I did get the friendly lecture about flossing (I promise I am, Dr. Ann!) - she does it because she cares! The hubby did great as well :) Needless to say we immediately set our 6 month follow up and have recommended Dr. Ann & the rest of the Tower Dental team to two friends already! Was looking for a new dentist, and I had heard wonderful things about Dr. Kats. After being made to wait about 20 minutes after my scheduled time, I was finally greeted by the team. Dr. Kats proceeded to tell me that I had "a lot of dental problems", and recommended that I get a plethora of fillings. I've never had many problems with my teeth, and being skeptical, I looked for a second opinion. The second dentist informed me that Dr. Kats's analysis was "wrong", and that the fillings were only to "fill his bank account." I am not a dentist, and cannot tell if Tower Dental is overly-careful, or purposefully malevolent. What I can say is this: look for a dentist who puts his name on the door (i.e John Smith DDS), doesn't advertise, and seems to genuinely care about your health. Please be careful of many sudden dental "problems." Also, I would avoid this place if I were you. read more

I moved to Downers Grove in December of 2018. After switching to an Illinois insurance carrier, I finally made time to locate a local dentist. I wasn't at all thrilled with the one recommendation I received, so I came to Yelp and was not disappointed! I was hoping for a highly rated dentist in walking distance, and Tower Dental seemed to check all my boxes. Online registration, quick and friendly staff, clean modern facility (it's a lot bigger than it looks from the street!) with the latest technology - all good starts. But the proof is in their actual performance, and there they SHINE! Anna was my hygienist, and she was the most efficient and gentle I have ever had. Ever. Due to circumstances, I had gone over a year since my last checkup and cleaning, so I knew there would be extra work for her and likely a bit extra "trouble" for me... OMG yes, it took longer than usual, but she took great care of me. Dr. Kats joined us when all that was complete and I was happy to hear that my good dental health continues. Dr. Kats is a warm and professional dentist whom I would recommend even based on our short acquaintance, but his overall practice receives my immediate and unconditional endorsement! And, you can go right across the street after your appointment for a great pizza at Angelo's :-). read more

Old crown fell out ~ $100 charge to recement. Another crown fell out a year later $225 charge for same 3 minute job. I asked if they can give me small discount for cash payment bc I have lost my job due to covid hoax and I had no insurance. They absolutely had no mercy! Won't go back for sure. read more

I contacted Tower Dental for an emergency. I am relatively new to town and didn't have a dentist. I was seen the same day and treated by Dr. Ann. We went over my issues (pain was stable at this point and I chose to wait, she was willing to work into the evening to fix my tooth) and planned for treatment following my return from an across country trip. Unluckily for me, that next evening things got significantly worse. I called the after hours number and reached Dr. Ann within minutes, and she went above and beyond to find a 24 hour pharmacy near my hotel and ordered appropriate pain medicine and antibiotics. I had been a patient of Dr. Ann for a total of 22 hours, but she treated me like I had been a patient for life. This is a situation that would have ended my vacation in an emergency room, but she bent over backwards to help me. I'm not sure what else can be said. I've been a patient for a couple of years at Tower Dental and the staff never seizes to amaze me. I'm always greeted with a smile and asked how myself and my family is doing. They remember details of my personal life and are genuine. When it comes to work, Dr. Wince is my primary dentist. He is very meticulous and remembers what works and doesn't work for me. For instance, my mouth is a bit more sensitive then others and is always prepared with more sensitive products. His personality is great and is always sharing knowledge or making small jokes. I told him about future travels and he was also there and printed out some recommendations, which was very nice! All staff is a pleasure to work with and I wouldn't change anything. read more

I saw Dr. Kats on emergency basis as I was in severe pain. He took me the same day. He was very nice and professional. I don't know many people who enjoy going to the dentist but he really put me at ease and was very patient. Issue of the problem was explained, types of treatment offered along with costs. Procedure took reasonable amount of time and bill was exactly as in estimate. No surprises ! I scheduled another " regular" appointment to take care if other dental problems. I had my first appointment yesterday at Tower Dental after moving to the area, and I am so happy that I picked them to go to! Everyone up front was so nice and professional, and my hygienist (Laura) was gentle with my sensitive gums. Dr. Ann popped in for a few minutes to look everything over and talked to me a little bit about Invisalign but wasn't too pushy about it like some previous dentist. I picked Tower dental based off their stellar Yelp reviews and I am so happy I landed at just the right place. Starting with the wait area, a warm cosy fireplace and watching happy kids definitely boosted my confidence. The staff was extremely warm and friendly and was very quick and effcient with the paperwork, calling my Insurance etc for a first time patient. I arrived early and they cut short my wait time by taking me in earlier than my appointment. Dr. Kats was confident, knowledeable, friendly and immediately gained my trust when he didnt waste time taking expensive x-rays to come with elaborate treatment plans. He worked with spot x-rays, quickly diagnosed what needed to be done and went on to work on my tooth efficiently and effectively. They also had some great 1st time patient discounts, a cute little hamper gift wrapped with dental goodies and the friendliest front desk staff all ensuring you walk out there with a smile on your face. Dr. Kats is unquestionably the best dentist I have ever known. His staff is always kind and professional and gentle. I see my hygienist (Laura) every 6 months for a cleaning and evaluation and I have x-rays once a year. After every cleaning Dr. Kats will stop by and examine me. As problems have been identified by Laura or Dr. Kats, Dr. Kats will take the time to show me the x-rays, explain the issue and go over a treatment plan. His office is conveniently located in downtown Downers Grove next to the parking garage. I used to dread seeing a dentist; now I actually look forward to it! read more

I came in as a new patient to Tower Dental and saw Dr Garcia. Let me start by saying the office is quite the sight. Very modern, clean, state of the art. The front staff welcomed me and offered me coffee or water. Then I was given the VIP tour of the office, which included a wall of certificates the doctors have earned through the years. It made me even more comfortable knowing that my dentist takes courses to keep her current on the newest and safest treatments. The assistant that took care of me was extremely friendly and very amicable. So by the time the dentist came in I felt right at home. Dr Garcia is just wonderful. Her comprehensive exam is extensive. She educated me so that I understood exactly what was going on in my mouth. She showed me my X-rays and models. The best part is this office offers Invisalign. When I left I felt no pressure. The front desk staff were ready to receive me and answer my insurance questions. They offer Care Credit and an in office payment plan. They understood that I was recently laid off but I needed a root canal ASAP before it got worse. I made my appointment and made appointments for the rest of my family.
