I just had my braces removed today. Unusually, I was assigned an assistant who removed them who had a terrible habit of interrupting me whenever I tried asking whether I should keep on my permanent retainer, which did not sit well with me. It could have either been because she did not want to undo the work she just did of putting it on, because she might have been late for her lunch break, or both... ...Other than that, both Dr. LaRoia and his staff are pure professionals. They're skilled, attentive, considerate, and pleasant to be around. There's also so many beautiful people there. With my now wearing a retainer, I'm only saddened that I have so few excuses left to visit them. read more

There are no words to describe how happy and thrilled I am with the results by the treatment of Dr.Neal and his staff, the way they treated me when I was there was incredible they engaged and answer any questions i had, everyone is very nice and very helpful. I called and went in to see what his approach would be with braces in terms of pay and treatment and we started months after that. What impressed me the most was how fast the treatment took because they had told me that it would take about 3/4 years but with commitment, care and doing precisely everything they told me to do, it took me 2 years to have my teeth straight, i recommend to wash, floss your teeth, do what they tell you to do like putting elastics on it's not just the braces that do the work but also yourself, again with time and commitment you will see the improvement. This is the absolute worst orthodontist I've never been to. My retainer broke about 2 weeks ago, so I went here because they were able to get me into the schedule. When they took the 3D model of my teeth, the lab tech who did it was completely inexperienced. I previously told her "please be gentle and hurry because I have PTSD from dental work." Turns out, she'd only done the 3D models once or twice and she completely cut up my gums until she got someone in a half hour later to retake all of the model. She said "I probably should have just had her take the model to begin with." Yeah, clearly. When I went to pick my retainer up a week later, I almost cried trying to put it on my teeth. My teeth wouldn't shift that much in a week. But the tech said "just force it on your teeth." Well, my gums got cut and turned white YET AGAIN. And my top one didn't fit at all. She was super aggressive for no reason. She at one point said "sweetie, listen" in a very aggressive tone, to which I responded "why are you calling me sweetie?" The other tech looked worried about her, and even mentioned something when the rude tech left. It took an hour to get it straightened out. So then I wear my retainer for the night and start feeling a bit off about my bite. Come to realize that the retainer is missing an entire molar. When I called them to complain, they said "oh just come in and we can remake them." LIKE ABSOLUTELY NOT. I'm demanding a refund and here's a warning, don't go here unless you want them to mess up your teeth and have to pay for it. read more

Even though he has an army of support staff, we always felt welcome and he took the time with each one of his patients. The appointments are quick and so efficient, they have you in and out in record time and are punctual when it comes to calling you once you've checked in. She surprisingly had her braces removed today after we went in a week early for our appointment due to a loose wire. I just completed a one-year Invisalign program with Dr. Neal and his team and I could not be happier! I found this practice via Google & Yelp reviews in November of 2019 and figured I'd go see them for a consultation. I had such a positive experience from day one. My first impression walking into their office was that everything seemed so bright, organized, and clean. That is definitely very appealing to me as a consumer that always cares about cleanliness! I had my consultation and before I knew it, I was back four weeks later to get my attachments and start the Invisalign process. I returned every 7-8 weeks to get new aligners and everything was going great. They set me up on a payment plan which was helpful for my wallet and I was loving my progress! If I had any questions or concerns, Dr. Neal and his team addressed them and made me feel like I was in control during the whole process. Dr. Neal was fabulous. He is kind and knowledgeable and a perfectionist! All the gals that work there were always so sweet and professional toward me. They have their system running flawlessly. When COVID became an issue, they rolled with the punches and made the necessary changes to be even more clean and sanitary. They truly are doing everything right. I am an adult who needed braces. I was 100% satisfied with my experience with Dr. LaRoia and the whole staff of Oakbrook Orthodontics. I recently finished my treatment with Dr. LaRoia, so I started when Oakbrook Orthodontics was just getting going, and I am happy to see their practice grow and succeed. They have a great staff and a great facility (clean, modern, comfortable, iPads, good music). My favorite part of Oakbrook Orthodontics was the short wait time. They clearly have made getting patients in and out a high priority, which I really appreciate. At the same time, I always felt like the entire staff, especially Dr. LaRoia, had plenty of time to listen to me and answer my questions while always showing care for my comfort. Dr. LaRoia seems to be very intelligent, very good at orthodontics, and is a very clear communicator - all important traits for an orthodontist, right?! The whole staff is great. The receptionist, Christina, is efficient, friendly, and always helped me find an appointment that worked with my schedule. That is another great part of this practice - they have plenty of hours to work around my work schedule (including some nights and Saturdays), which was important for me. I am not sure of her title, but Virginia helped me out a lot, too. I think she is an assistant. She was kind, friendly, quick, and good at what she does. The staff made going there a good experience. Dr. LaRoia was great with me as an adult, but having been there many times over the past 18 months, I saw his comfortable way with kids, too. My dentist recommended Dr. LaRoia, so I went all the way out to Oakbrook (from Lakeview in the city) hesitantly - but it was definitely worth it. All three of my children have had their braces done by Dr. Neal and the experience has been fantastic. The office is modern, clean, and friendly. We never needed to wait more than five minutes to be seen, even when we get there early. They always have plenty of availability for appointments after school and even Saturdays.
