I just felt compelled to leave this review about Brendan's Auto Body. I feel as though my experience demanded I leave this here for others to see and benefit from. Brendan's Auto Body is the most amazing place I have gone for significant car work. My car (2012 BMW 135i) is my baby. I hand wash it every other week, wax it, give it 4 hour deep cleans and leather treatment, etc. When I was rear-ended by another car, I was devastated. Apart from the back bumper and trunk lid being pushed in, I had locking mechanism troubles with my driver's side door. I just wanted it fixed and back to perfect condition that it was before the accident. In comes Brendan. I pulled up to Brendan's Auto Body located on a fairly busy street. They manage very well with the space they have. It is crowded though, because everyone is getting their work done here (which is a very good sign). Brendan greeted me as soon as I got out of my car and asked me what was wrong. He took a liquid chalk marker and proceeded to highlight on my car all the issues I wanted to have addressed while in the shop. He even wrote a note on the driver's side door to look at my locking mechanism that I suspected was damaged during the collision. This immediately made me feel like all my issues would be addressed. After going through the whole car, we went inside where his attentive staff helped guide me through the insurance paperwork and any other concerns I had (ex. wanting OEM parts and replacements rather than patches). After the shop linked me up with Enterprise to get my rental car, I did not hear from Brendan's for almost 2 weeks. Though, leaving there I had full faith my car was in the best hands possible. Today, I received a call that my car would be ready in an hour and a half. When I arrived, I was again met by Brendan and shown my car. Not only was my car fixed to IMPECCABLE standards, but the inside of my car had been detailed, cleaned, and vacuumed. The outside of my car had been fully washed and waxed. My wheels had been detailed and cleaned as well. Brendan went around the car with me and looked at all the angles. He even caught little smudges from the waxing that escaped me. After noticing it, he made sure to call his employee over to take care of it on the spot. He made sure I was 100% happy with everything before giving me the keys and sending me on my way. In summation, Brendan's Auto Body is THE PLACE to go for auto body work. I will not go anywhere else, because this is the only shop that pay attention to detail as much, if not more, as I do to my car. Thank you Brendan! read more

My car had been towed there by Elmsford PD after a car accident. I wasn't allowed to call my own tow or request where my car was taken. Additionally, I was never informed of cost/ fees associated. My car was scheduled to be towed to the dealership performing the repair, I spoke with Reina to notify them my car was being towed. She sent me an authorization form that stated I was aware there would be a $125 fee. I called to ask about why they were not upfront with the fees, she screamed at me to sign the form, then said "I guess you don't want your car back!" and hung up on me. I reluctantly agreed to sign the form, sent it to her and emailed that I would be coming in to retrieve items out of my car before it was towed. When I went out to my car, I looked to make sure they hadn't done anything to my vehicle, and noticed there was a piece that they had ripped off. I understand there are times when something has to be removed for safety during a tow, but they are supposed to document everything done, and why. I took photos. My insurance then called me to notify me that the tow had gone there, but was not authorized to spend the exorbitant amount they were charging, so they had to leave. I called Brandon's to explain that a piece from my car had clearly been removed. Reina was nasty and condescending on the phone, ended up saying she has no idea and maybe something had been removed but has no way of knowing. How do you have no way of knowing when it was done by the shop you work at? She ended up transferring me to the owner. When I explained the situation to him he said "if you got proof come here and show me." I went in, showed him the photo of my car at the seen of the accident. He told me that the part I was showing him was a piece of the other persons car (it clearly was not), I told him it was not, he said "well then it's still there." I said it was not there and I would just like to know what was removed, why and have it documented, as it is my right to do so. He went out to look at my car. While he went out, I asked Reina for an itemized bill (as it's my right to have). She said "no," when I asked why she wouldn't give it to me, she said "because I said so, you're not even paying, insurance is." My insurance, that I pay for, for my car, that I also pay for and she's telling me I have no right to the bill? I said okay, then explain the charges to me (my insurance had given me a rundown of what they were told the charges were). I asked why I was being charged an inspection fee, a labor fee, and why I was being charged $250/ day instead on the $125 listed on the release form. She rudely stated "Things cost money, what did you expect it to be free?" I said absolutely not, but I am entitled to know what I'm being charged for and why, she once again went on about how I wasn't being charged, insurance was. Agin, my insurance, that I pay for, for my car.... Any honest company would be more than willing to tell you why they are charging you the amount they are, and would be more than willing to provide an itemized copy of the bill if they have nothing to hide. The owner then comes back in screaming at me about how the parts were all still on my car, nothing had been removed and that when they drove the car it got moved under the wheel (complete lie). He then started screaming at me to bet him $1,000 that it was there. I told him I would not be betting him, but would like to know what was done. Again starts screaming at me to bet him, because that's a professional way to conduct business and carry yourself as a company owner. I said okay, well it clearly was removed, but if you won't admit it then let's move on to the charges.He refused to answer any questions pertaining to the charges or amount and continued screaming about how he gave me a nice discount. He then began asking me why I was getting the car towed off his lot and where I'd be getting the work done (why would I want to get it done by him after the way they treat customers). I told him, not that I needed to, he then began talking down to me saying dealerships can't do repairs and they'll send it out elsewhere. (some dealers don't but some do, the place I'm bringing it does them there). He began once again talking over me, talking down to me like I was stupid about how the dealer was going to send my car to a body shop. Why does it matter? I would hire anyone to fix my car before I hired him. He then told me my car was totaled, it is not. He told me it's an old model (literally a 2024 lol). And asked me if the air bags went off, if the air bags had gone off, I'd imagine he'd notice when he went out to look at my car. He then went on about his various titles and how he's on the board of the Westchester automotive something or other (not that it matters or anyone asked). My front seat also had debris all over it after they towed it and the owner refused to acknowledge where it came from. This company is extremely corrupt, charging illegal rates. read more

Worst customer service, just like the owner Brendan. A complete ass. They get you for your money and try to charge any dollar to your insurance. They didn't fix my car as promised and parked it on the street next to the road where I got a scratch on bumper. I complained and they weren't nice at all. Horrible Customer Service experience--- Treated as if they were doing me a favor by repairing my car! I brought me car in for an inspection on 6/26 after having an accident on 6/25 with damage to my rear passenger side panel and tail light, as Brendan's was on my insurance list, and also because my wife had reported a good experience with them a few years ago. Jerry, who inspected the car, did not tell me at the time when to bring the car in for repair. As I had not heard from them subsequently, I called them on 6/30 and was told that parts had been ordered. After no further communication from them, I called again on 7/7, was told that parts would be in the following week, and then brought the car to Brendan's on 7/11. When I brought the car in, I showed Jerry 2 little dings on the driver's side door and asked if he would take care of them. He assured me that it was a minor issue and that they would "take care of it" for no charge during the repair. When I picked up the car on 7/26, I felt that they had done an excellent job on the repair, with one exception: The 2 dings has remain untouched. Jerry told me that the PDR or "ding man" had been on vacation, and advised me to bring the car back the following week. I arranged to bring the car back on Friday 8/11, was told by Jerry that he would call me when the "ding man" was available. He called me @ 2:15 pm, and asked me if I could bring the car in ASAP. When I got there, I had to wait another 30 minutes until Jerry and the "ding man" looked at my car. He said he could do it --- but "not now," that I would have to make an appointment to bring the car back yet again the following week. When I brought the car back the morning of 8/18, Jerry told me I should leave the car --- and they would call me when the car is ready. While waiting for an Uber to take me home, I spotted the "ding man" and told him I'd brought the car in. He told me that Jerry hadn't told him that I had done so, but asked me to stick around, and took care of it in less than 15 minutes!! When I informed Jerry afterwards, he told me there would be "no charge" for taking care of it, reaffirming an offer me made at the time of my bringing the car in. A few more salient points: When I brought the car in on the 18th, I showed Jerry a damage to the paint on the top rear panel over the cargo door. I told him I had not noticed it when I picked up the car a few weeks before, but know it had not been there previous to the repair. Jerry told me that it was the result of bird droppings, that is could not have been caused by them, and offered to repair it for $250; that in addition to the $4500 he had already gotten from my insurance company along with my $400 deductible. I currently keep my 2023 car in an indoor garage, and typically use it 2-3 times a week for short errands. I have no idea if the paint was indeed caused by a bird dropping --- which I'd never experienced or even heard of before. I do know that I will never bring another car to Brendan's Auto Repair, and that I will have the paint damage fixed by another body shop, even if it costs me more than $250 to repair! Customer service is important to a business, and the service I received was unacceptable and inexcusable --- no matter how busy they are. Whenever I had contacted them in the wake of no communication, I felt like they were doing me a favor and sounded if they were annoyed. And getting them to honor the ding repair should not have taken 2 additional times of bringing the car back to them for a 10 minute process!! read more

It started cracking and come to find out from the body shop that is redoing the car that most of the work was filled with bondo to make it look good. It was nice until it wasn't 7 yrs later. AVOID THIS BUSINESS AT ALL COSTS. After I was towed to Brendan's Auto Body after a breakdown on the Saw Mill, it took three weeks of constant calling before the engine replacement and cooling system repair were completed. I never got a pre-repair estimate or breakdown. When I drove the vehicle away (having forked over $4000 cash), there were multiple warning lights on my dashboard. I immediately returned the vehicle. Brendan's had the audacity to charge $200 more to replace unnamed parts. The warning lights no longer showed. However, a few weeks later, the warning lights returned. I was informed by my mechanic that they had put in the wrong kind of thermometer. About a month after that, the engine temperature warning light went on on a long-distance trip. The problem was catastrophic cooling system failure -- one of the problems they were supposed to fix. We had to abandon the vehicle, as it needed major repair not only to the cooling system, but also to the engine, which had been damaged by overheating. Brendan's did a better than excellent job repairing two of our cars. The first a small tree fell on the roof and after replacing the roof you would never know it was replaced. The second was when my daughter had hit a Jeep and she needed a new hood, grill, headlight,etc. Again a beautiful job and he even fixed the battered license plate. This body shop is very busy and therefore getting their attention is really hard. I mean, if they promise to call you back, expect you calling them 2-3 times reminding them that they have to call you back, before they do. My car's repair was estimated to be about 2 weeks, it took them almost 2 months and the car was returned to me with some safety features not working (adaptive cruise control is one of them which almost resulted in another accident) and some assembly not done properly that resulted in excessive noise while on highway. Do not expect any timelines or heads up as to when the repair is going to be completed either. Overall, I would not recommend this shop and my experience was mostly negative. My car is drive-able right now but that's hardly an achievement considering all of the above! read more

I broke down on the side of the Taconic this morning. What I didn't know was that the Taconic is considered a "restricted roadway" and not just any tow company can legally access the parkway. After some research and lots of time stuck on the side of the road in the rain waiting for other tow truck companies to call back only to tell me they can't come to my location, NY State Troopers told me about Brendan's towing. In under an hour, they had my truck loaded up and on its way home. They really saved the day, the driver was polite and respectful, and the pricing was more than reasonable. You always assume breaking down and dealing with tow trucks is a horrible experience, but these guys really made a crap experience a pleasant one. Allstate recommended that I use Brendan's after my car was damaged in a hit and run. Their service was timely (as my car could still be driven, they did not ask for it until all of the parts arrived which took about a week, and even then only when they could work on the car) and professional. The work, which was not minor, took about a week and the car was returned cleaner (both outside and inside) then when we brought it in. I highly recommend them for your auto body needs. read more

They have taken great care of all our cars over the years, and our most recent mishap was handled quickly, fairly and the quality of the work is impeccable. Granted it was one of the spots Allstate picked out for me, but Brendan's did an excellent job repairing my bumper after a fender bender. I drive a Mini Cooper, so replacement parts aren't necessarily within immediate reach all the time, and Brendan's had it fixed in exactly one week - to top it off, they even washed and cleaned the interior and exterior, too. They also played middle man for my car rental, as well, which went seamlessly. I'm thankful Allstate hooked me up with such a great find! read more

I had an accident on the Taconic Parkway and Brendan's was dispatched by the State Police to respond. Not being familiar with the area I was guided by my insurance company in regards to scheduling a rental and body shop location. Anyway.......their driver Sal responded and was extremely helpful and professional. He told me the car rental location was in the opposite direction of the body shop and recommend a closer one, and when my card was being declined to pay for the tow he not only gave me a ride to the bank he gave me a ride to go pick up my rental car. First of all let me say Brendans Auto Body was the only shop in the area that told me they would get my damaged car done without body work needed. This was possible because my damage was casued by frozen snow this past winter and didn't leave any paint damage just waves of dents at the bottom of my passenger door. Every other shop told me paintless dent removal wouldn't work and that it would have to be fixed and sprayed. Brendan even had to take the door off of my car to get the dents out, but it was done with perfection and expertise. As a matter of fact I had a door ding on the back door behind the door with all the damage and Brendan even took that out without me even bringing it up. So everyone who has a negative review about Brendan's Auto Body better rethink the situation. Yes, it is a very busy body shop but for a good reason. The work they do is impeccable. If anyone feels they are hard to get a hold of just call and either the professional receptionist will pass you on to the person you are looking for or take a message and they will get back to you. I run my own business as well and sometimes things happen that don't make you immediatly accessible but you will always get a call back. By the time, I was able to get to the place, which was in less than 24 hours, he had rung up over $500 in charges including 2 days of storage at$105/day and a $250 tow fee for 0.5 miles. I was towed off the Saw Mill River Parkway due to a mechanical issue with my car. Brendan's towing was there in no time to get me off the road and to his shop. So I received my Honda Accord back from Brendan's autobody, Elmsford 2 days ago. The car had been sitting in their shop for almost a month. Last week when I called, the lady in the office told me that parts were just delivered the day I called. The car is not new. They claim to have a Honda account which means parts are sent express. I went to the garage to check on the car. The same lady in the office told me that the car was finished and only needed to be sprayed. Whether God or my mind told me to ask to see the car. The Hispanic worker attempted to PHYSICALLY block me from seeing my vehicle. I threatened to call the police if he touched me because I have a right to see my vehicle. Upon entering the garage, the car had NOT been started to work on! She BLATANTLY LIED to my face! After having the car sit there for a month, within TWO DAYS, they called me to pick up the vehicle. The car feels very UNSAFE to drive. Lights do not come on. Signals that should not be on are going off over and over. The car feels like waste paper was used to repair it because ALL that these people wanted was the money. I knew Brendan had a sweet mouth and had my reservations about trusting them to fix the car but I went against my gut. Progressive insurance sent an Adjuster to see the vehicle, if the car should have been written off, they would have known because it is THEIR job! Brendan told me that if he does the work, its lifetime warranty, the car will be great with NO problems. Against my better judgement, I trusted people who operate in dishonesty and lies to get the money but I would be damned if am going to get a junk and they run off with my money I could have used to pay down on a new vehicle! This is not the great train robbery! I will pay for a lie detector test to prove that whatever am saying here is 101% TRUTH! I also have photographs of my car from the accident, in their garage and after they claim to have repaired it! Am certain that other people have had nasty experience with them or they feel that they can rip off the little black girl and it will be alright? I will call out ABC news and every Attorney I can find! I am angry because I should not have been lied to! My daughter had a one car accident on the Saw Mill. Forced to use these guys because AAA can't service the Saw Mill for whatever reason. Accident was on a Saturday. Called on Monday, and found out they charge 50 bucks a day to store the car; this was never mentioned when they towed the car on Saturday. I wanted to donate the car to charity, but not going to spend another $100-200 on a "storage charge" waiting for the charity to come and pick up the car so decided to just have them junk it. Shame really that they use their monopoly on the Saw Mill to gouge customers. On top of this when I went to pay the towing and storage fee they charged 3.25% for a credit card fee, which they conveniently forgot to mention on the phone! Would have brought cash if they would have said something. These guys are out to nickel and dime you to death. A very unpleasant experience dealing with this company. I was in a pretty serious car accident last night due to black ice on the Saw Mill Pky next to this auto body shop. I by the grace of God was able to walk away from this scratch free. I can't say the same about my car as it was totaled. The officer who was dispatched to the scene called this auto body shop to come have me towed. I have never went to or dealt with these people before. The gentleman who came to tow me, named Jose, had to be the nastiest, most cold hearted person I have ever come across. Last nights temps were around 9 degrees, so I understood that the gentlemen wasn't necessarily pleased with having to come out and tow me is such horrible conditions. He made it known to me, once putting my car up on to his truck I drove with him and during our drive he explained how he was towing my car to his shop regardless of what I was told by anyone else ( I asked to have it towed to my mechanic at Central Auto body a few miles away), he told me to hurry up and grab my stuff out of my damaged car as I was moving it to my finances car because he was cold, he also asked me how would I be paying him as he needed to get paid. He showed no sympathy for the fact that I could've been badly damaged or worse. I had my fiancé and my 10 month old daughter also following us to the shop. Once arriving to the shop his nasty attitude and poor customer service skills continued as he told me he was locking my car into his shop until they got paid and he didnt care that I was recently in a wreck just minutes ago stating "it happens all the time". Our argument at this point escalated and the officer who followed us had to step in. Here is where it went from bad to worse....The next day I called them to get some information and was hung up on twice with the person on the other side saying "we just opened and my lines are busy any questions you have will be answered when you come in. I was shocked again when I walked into their establishment and when I asked to speak to the owner Brendan Quinn who was there I wanted to simply inform him of how I was treated last night and how it bothered me that someone could be so heartless to someone who just lost their car and could've lost their life. His response to me was "Well my guy told me you were nasty to him" and then walked away from me. His secretary was shocked that he made this statement and even apologized to me....his own secretary! To make matter worse, I had a manager from Enterprise and my claims adjuster both tell me how they get nothing but upset customers who deal with these people. I write this in hopes that not only does it make the public aware but that the people of this business realize that customer service in todays world goes a long way and that they work on turning their attitudes around, I would never want to see a business lose sales are customers and I hope this opens their eyes and has a positive impact on them in the future. Until then I strongly caution anyone within the Lower Westchester area of using their service as I would never want anyone to go through what I went through last night.... read more

I just picked my car up from being repaired after an accident. This is the third time that I have had major work done there after a collision and I am always satisfied. A few years ago, I had gotten into a fender bender and wrongfully assumed that I could drive my car on a road trip without getting the work done first. It turns out that I had cracked all of the tanks in the front of my car and my car overheated and died on the Massachusetts Turnpike 20 minutes outside of my Boston. After a panicked call to Brendan, I was told that they would send someone to pick up my car. It was during a snow storm and it was New Year's Eve. The Massachusetts State Troopers could not believe a tow truck from New York was coming to get my car. Brendan and his staff always take what is the worst situation and somehow make it bearable. I will never go anywhere else and highly recommend him. read more

This place is Despicable they are only out for cash. Basically lie straight to your face and try and get you to leave your vehicle they're dragging out the process. Even after knowing that I had come straight from the ER to clean out my vehicle they kept it there and haggle with my insurance company despite its obvious assessment as a total loss. Gerry gave me a quick and very fair estimate for a paint job on my car. He said he would try to wet sand it first, which was a cheaper option for the scratches on my car. As it turned out, that didn't do the trick and the hood, in fact, did need a complete paint job. The work was done promptly and the results were great. The staff at Brendan's were courteous and Gerry was very easy to work with, called and emailed me to give me an update, and the car was ready when promised. A great experience - happy to wholeheartedly recommend this autobody repair shop. read more

I was involved in a front end collision in my car, Brendans was local to where I was living at the time so I brought my car there, BIG MISTAKE! First I was quoted a 3 week turnaround time, it was 7 weeks before I got the car back, and almost had to incur the additional rental cost myself, that was their first strike. Then I go to pick the car up and I notice many tool marks around interior panels that had to be removed as if someone just took a screwdriver and pried them open without any regard to damage. When I pointed this out the person I was dealing with they had the audacity to say "well it looks a lot better than when you brought it here" I really couldn't believe he had the nerve and lack of customer service to really say that to a customer. What a fabulous group of people!! I lost my tire while driving on the Saw Mill River Parkway. The police called the tow truck and Brendan's picked me up. Starting with the driver of the tow truck to the time I paid my bill, the employees were kind and helpful. Very honest operation with no hassles. Such a comfort after a near fatal experience. Very unprofessional and shady. Towed my car from saw mill Rd and Shawn was very nice. My car stayed there for more that a week and a half and was finally delivered with a destroyed front end. The car was treated as if it was going to the junk yard when I never gave them my title and had no intention of scraping the car. My transmission was tampered with and the car was dropped off facing the wrong direction on my street exposing me to tickets by authorities.. Brenden was difficult to get a hold of and continually pawned the responsibility off on his employees who were never on the same page. Although they are very nice there was no teamwork or unity in getting my issues figured out. I sincerely believe my car was being chopped since when I went to turn my car around my stick shift was completely lose and not attached to the transmission any longer. I'm very upset with the lack of communication, lack professionalism and unwillingness to take responsibility for the damage to my car since I had to call to ask what happened.
