I had a terrific towing experience with Carson City Towing. The operator, Ameliorate, was very…read morecourteous and helpful. I realize that these guys (and gals) are very busy helping stranded motorists, but having good customer service as well as a helping attitude is huge and that's what I received. Needless to say I tipped him well. Thank you!!

1 Star Update as of…read moreOctober, 2026: !!! BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY !!! I filed a complaint with the Nevada Transportation Authority (NTA) regarding Carson City Towing's billing and recordkeeping. It is being handled under Investigation I-2609-041. If you've had similar issues, contact NTA and reference I-2609-041 if relevant: nta.nv.gov | (775) 687-9790 | nta@nta.nv.gov I still have not received complete receipts/payment records. CCT changed a $600 invoice from paid in full to $600 due while the note still said "paid cc." They also claimed to have no record of towing my own vehicle even though I have their original receipt, CCT also claimed it had no record of another tow that I paid for, yet the company owner later contacted WCSO specifically about that same tow--the one they supposedly had no record of... There also appears to be a pattern in public complaints of people being told they cannot access belongings from their impounded vehicles, which is illegal and goes against the law. Nevada law requires tow companies to ALLOW VEHICLE OWNERS TO ACCESS IMPOUNDED VEHICLES and PROHIBITS holding personal property as LEVERAGE for payment, NRS 706.4467 and NAC 706.440. Original Review: Alexis, the office manager, called me from the company's business number, (775) 883-2524, about a personal matter completely unrelated to any towing service. During our conversation she screamed at me and questioned why I knew one of the company's tow truck drivers outside of the towing services he had performed for me. I later learned that Alexis is both the driver's former girlfriend and his supervisor, which made the bizarre nature of the call make considerably more sense. I find it wildly inappropriate that an employee would apparently obtain a paying customer's phone number through the company's customer database and use the company's business line to confront that customer about knowing her former boyfriend outside of work. My information was provided to this company for legitimate towing services, not for an employee to use for a personal confrontation. For context, I originally met this driver through this company. Over the past year, he had towed vehicles to my property and removed unauthorized vehicles from my property. I hired and paid the company for those services. It is absurd for a business owner and/or supervisor to shrink their client list based on the fact that an employee may or may not become friends with a client they have provided services to no less than five times. Nor does it change the fact that I was a paying customer and was entitled to professional treatment. Alexis speculating about the situation and then using company resources to confront me about it was completely inappropriate and unprofessional. Neither this employee nor I owe the company some sort of personal loyalty simply because I hired the company and he performed the towing services. A paid towing transaction does not give an office manager the right to police who an employee or customer associates with, period. The situation became so inappropriate that I had to send a cease-and-desist notice because of the conduct of a seemingly unhinged former girlfriend and the false claims being circulated about my private life. After experiencing Alexis's behavior firsthand, I looked through the company's Google reviews. I counted 16 negative reviews concerning the receptionist/front-desk staff alone, with customers repeatedly describing rude, argumentative, disrespectful, or unprofessional interactions. My experience made that pattern considerably easier to understand. To be clear, my complaint is not about the tow drivers. I repeatedly used this company because I was satisfied with the towing services themselves. My complaint is about an office manager using access she had through the business to contact and scream at a paying customer over something that had absolutely nothing to do with towing. That crossed a professional boundary I would never expect from a business I had repeatedly paid and trusted. I will take my future towing business elsewhere.
