We stopped here out of necessity, because the place we wanted to go to, right down the road, was closed because of a water break, and we were hungry. First of all, this is a no-smoking restaurant, but I could smell faint smoke as soon as I entered. Turns out, the bar next door allows smoking, and the smell emanates slightly into the restaurant part from the bar. The decor was quite interesting. Lots of taxidermy on display everywhere. The room itself is quite dated, and has a historic feel to it. Be sure to look at the lighting, and the wallpaper. The booths are quite unique (see my photos). The food was basic, and not too expensive. Service was very good, and the food arrived quickly. They have some arcade games in the back room, and mini golf outside. This place really has it all! We stopped by for lunch and then played a game of mini golf while we were there. They also have a driving range if you should have interest in that. The restaurant has many different animals displayed and has eccentric decor. It is family friendly with arcade games available as well. There is also a separate bar area. We were greeted and seated right away by our waitress. She was very friendly and attentive throughout our time there. I ordered the roast beef sandwich with fries and gravy. It was delicious! They have many different options on their menu to choose from. This place is truly one of a kind and has been around for as long as I can remember. I have not ate at breezy's for probably almost 10 years. It used to be a fan favorite in my extended family when I was younger. I got takeout tonight and it was so so so incredibly disappointing. It was quick and cheap though. I got a steak hoagie and the eggplant bruschetta. The steak hoagie had roast beef lunchmeat, like sliced roast beef you would get from the deli at giant eagle. After being confused when I got home and looking at the menu, the menu does say roast beef but it says specialty house made which this was not. The meat was incredibly dry and the sandwich would have been even more dry if I did not ask for mayo on it. The sandwich also did not come with anything like fries or chips. The eggplant bruschetta was disgusting. First of all it is one piece of bread. I guess it comes à la cart and not as an appetizer even though it was under the appetizer section on the menu. Had I actually liked it, I would've been disappointed that I only got one piece in the order. It had a weird odor and I took one bite and I was done. It is incredibly spicy, and so much so that it burns your lips and I typically enjoy spicy food. The bread is super soggy and was drowned in olive oil - like the only thing I could taste was olive oil and red pepper flakes, I didn't even taste eggplant in that bite. The restaurant is stuck in 1987. You can still smoke in the bar, which is where I had to pick up my take out order at. Also, the waitress that was working in the dining room came in to take a smoke break in the bar, like really?! Foul. The bartender was nice and the food was cheap and only took 15 minutes - these are the only redeeming qualities. I will not be back. I cannot believe how downhill this place has gone. read more

Small family owned business, with broaster chicken. Service is SUPER friendly and the vibes is casual. There is a bar with TVs if you want to watch a game, the main dining room has an impressive collection of animals from Africa and parts unknown! We love the fried zucchini and fried pickles. We also are huge fans of the half broaster chicken and buffalo fries. Tried the Rueben this week...and that was YUMMY too! A longtime favorite mom and pop restaurant. Nothing fancy at all, just good American food. Everything from pasta, steaks, ribs, salads, burgers, and more. But, what they're famous for around SW PA, is their Broasted chicken, so crispy, juicy, and yummy. They also have Broasted whole wings, absolutely delicious! Today, I got the Steak and Ribs, with Broasted Potato wedges. 6 oz. sirloin, tender, flavorful, with grilled onions on top. Quarter rack of beef ribs, pretty good, meat was tender. A good smoky bbq sauce over top. A side of crunchy garlic bread. Yummy broasted, crispy potato wedges, dipped in Ranch. Overall, a good dinner. The real winner was an order of Broasted whole chicken wings, with Thai Chili sauce. Crispy, crunchy, very juicy! Thai Chili sauce goes so well on wings, best part of the meal. I started coming to this area for work almost 15 years ago. I found this place when an old friend who was in witness protection was sent to Avella pa. (Don't worry he is no longer here ). We met here to eat and it has become one of my favorite places . Perfect for lunch or dinner too. Large menu selection and great specials. The owner is a nice guy and treats you like family. It's a beautiful drive out to place too especially in the autumn and a great spot to eat after hunting. read more

They have been in business since 1954 so that says something for them. It's almost like a museum with all of the animals so for a hunter they would be in heaven looking at them all, we were amazed. There are quaint booths that are very private so you don't hear someone else's conversation or maybe their screaming child. The staff was very friendly and couldn't of been nicer to our group of six. They were very attentive usually you are asking for refills or something is need but never had to great service. The "Broasted Chicken" was excellent, very moist, never had it before, would order it again. Also had the ribs which were falling off the bone and very tasty. I was to believe a burger was $5.99. Placed a pick up order with just 2 burgers nothing special. No fries or anything. Picked it up & it was over $20. Are u kidding me. I asked why & they said price of meat has gone up. I can go to pretty much anywhere & get a specialty burger that has bacon & sometimes a double patty & a side for same price. If you're upping the price then u should at least let the people that are ordering your stuff know this shit & add that they are definitely not the same thick burgers they use to sell. Excellent Broasted Chicken! They were unusually busy the night we stopped, but service was still ok, if a little slow, but nothing to prevent from coming back. Food was great, I even appreciated the side salad which was more than just lettuce! Chicken was superb, and real mashed potatoes! My only suggestion would be some good chicken gravy to go on the potatoes with a chicken dinner, instead of the brown gravy! We will be back for more! read more

First, the dead animals full of dust in the dining room do not add to any charm, nostalgia or leave you wanting to eat anything carnivorous. The food here is bad, which isn't surprising that they need to keep restocking the kitchen with cooks by the advertisements on the sign outside. The broasted chicken is good though . I gave it an extra star because they have an ice cream joint connected to it and putt putt so your kids can play a round while you try to get the dining room horror show out of your memory banks. I want to begin by saying I didn't want to leave this review but I felt like I had to. I placed a Togo order that was finishing up as I arrived. I made sure I didn't alter the contents of the bag on my very short drive home. When I opened the bag there was hot sauce and grease everywhere. The cook placed the order, Buffalo chicken bites, directly from the fryer into the container, melting portions of it. It created a mess everywhere. The bites themselves tasted ok but were mostly breading. I then opened my side order of Mac n cheese that appeared to be a cheaper version of the boxed Kraft variety. If friends of mine came over to my house and I made dinner I would never serve this Mac and cheese, so It never even occurred to me that I would be receiving and .08 cent scoop of this as a side dish. It tasted exactly how I thought cheap boxed pre made Mac and cheese would taste like. I ordered a baked ham and cheese. Very basic, right? The sandwich didn't appear to be baked for very long. The bread wasn't crispy and the cheese was never fully melted. It had no special flavors that I noticed. The onions were sliced way to thick for all sandwiches. I didn't eat the fish sandwich, but two people split it and told me it tasted good. I asked for tarter sauce on the side and it was placed on the sandwich. No biggy. We ordered and Italian sub that I also didn't eat. I was only told that the balsamic dressing tasted very good. I ordered Buffalo chips that were really good...but they never gave me my multiple sides of ranch dressing that I asked for and I didn't have any at home. In retrospect I wish I would've saved my $40 and ate the head of cabbage I had sitting in my refrigerator. read more

Lets get to it, outside of mediocre service, its ooook.... Fish, wings and the usual are something people talk about. Fish is good but the bun is clearly of the frozen variety. Disappointing when there are local bread companies where they can get fresh bread. The wings,..well where do we begin? They are excessively salty from the light batter used to cook them. Flavors are run of the mill. Wife had the steak sandwich. Same issue with the buns. Vegetables came luke warm and beef seemed to be resting in a a bath of water which resulted in pale and flavorless beef. This place is not kid friendly. My family are frequent guests, and the owner of the place, Rick, commented to other guests that my son is out of control. My 3 year old son grabbed a taxidermy animal that was sitting out, so this must have compelled Rick to say these things. I will not be back with my family. The food isn't that great anyway. Stopped in for lunch ordered wings. They were right from a bag lots of breading & no meat with red hot poured on top. Wife ordered iced tea "tasted funny" it is from a store bought jug not home brewed. On draft they told me they had magic hat I ended up having 3. When the bill came the beers were $6.25 each. $18.75 for 3 beers. The loaded French fries were frozen fries wit shredded cheese microwaved on top. So I spent $60 for two people for a lunch I could of made at home. read more
