I got in line, used the QR code to check in, waited about 15 minutes, as the line moved along with deliberate speed. Got to the counter, showed my Real ID driver's license, she made a joke, and we both laughed. Even though everything is electronic, she printed a paper copy of my boarding pass. Walked through the airport a bit, and passed up the huge row of rocking chairs (maybe about 60 of them) in the middle of the breezeway. Nice! Got to the TSA and did not have to take my shoes off! Finally, got back to sanity! Put my stuff in the huge bin, walked through the scanner. The guard had to check my wrists and arms, because I have a Dot.com bracelet on for my Instagram, so it probably set off a light or two. Easy peasy, got my stuff and headed to my gate for a seat. I have to say that was the fastest I have ever gotten through an airport from being dropped off. The whole process took about 35 minutes! Wow!

Once I made it to the counter it was a painless process of showing my id and weighing my bag- I was moving on within minutes. Once at the gate our boarding was delayed for reasons unknown. I didn't sit in my seat until our scheduled take off time- even though everything kept saying "on time"~ that being said- the pilot got us on the ground just 10 minutes past our scheduled time- not bad! I did like our flight attendant Cory- he was friendly and patient~ all of the attendants seemed very nice and didn't fluster at the customers who were slow to follow directions. My patience was up with the guy in my aisle while Cory did an excellent job keeping his nice smile on~ put the phone down and pay attention! lol This airline can be extremely cheap to fly- but can also nickle and dime you for everything- carry on bags, checked bags (weight limit is 40lbs- not the standard 50!!!), printing tickets at the airport, seat selection, snacks in flight~ you name it- you'll pay for it! BUT~ if you hit it right, you can fly for half the price of other airlines! Read the guidelines- install the app on your phone for easier ticketing and be patient! You'll do just fine flying Allegiant.

The staff in the airport and on the flights were stellar, their seats just seem to be more comfortable than their competitors, and they now feature a really ingenious phone holder next to a charging point for those in the economy class. It was an easy process to check our luggage and just wait on the train, which was delayed a bit. Of note, there were delays throughout the trip. Not one time was any of the trains ever on time. There were multiple stops along the way to pick up travelers and to drop off travelers at various stations. But we always made the next connection. This was our first train ride of this kind. Both my husband and I wanted the experience of an overnight train ride. We traveled from Jacksonville to New York City (overnight), then caught another train (9-hour ride; Coach seats very comfortable; very ample leg room) from New York City to Niagara Falls, then took a taxi across the border to the Canadian side. Though we paid for a "first class" experience, the accommodations were definitely not "first class." Definitely need an upgrade in terms of the rooms. Still, the experience of traveling and not having to deal with anything near the stress of catching a flight was just very satisfying. We purchased the bedroom and the space was very tight, but it was private and peaceful. Enjoying the scenery along the way was awesome. The meals were good and the service we received was top notch. With the meals, we had the option of eating in the dining room, or having our meals brought to our room. We exercised both options throughout the trip. Note, there is a "cafe" on board the train as well for those who were riding coach and for anyone who wanted to purchase food in between meals. On our return trip back, we had a bit of a layover in NY so we were able to enjoy the lounge (complimentary food, spacious seating area). The staff at the station in NY City train station were simply amazing; so very helpful and with great attitudes - considering the hustle and bustle!

Leaving my elderly parents alone at the airport for the entire night was not an option! The agent said they couldn't book us on another airline. However, when we went to the gate front desk and informed her that there is a flight to Seattle via Alaska Airlines, she immediately rebooked usI Yey! I guess the lesson I learned from is, if the airline's own flights are full, specifically ask the desk agent to rebook you thru one of their "partner" airlines.

The overweight price is out of control. They charge for printing tickets so make sure your phone is truly charged. We load the plane and had over an hour delay. The flight back was WORSE!! We had a 4 hour delay. We found out our boarding gate had changed an hour before boarding. We had to catch the subway from one side of the airport to the other. I won't be flying frontier again.

Never have I ever been on a flight that was delayed where the pilot came out and spoke in detail about the reason for the delay, what was done by the maintenance team, and what will happen next. Not only that but he detailed his years of flight experience, including maintenance experience, and time in the AirForce to express his confidence in flying the aircraft based on the results of the maintenance teams work. Lastly, Capt Mark Mitchell (Flight 17) spoke on the importance of us getting to our friends family and shared that to JetBlue all passengers are family. This was such a kind gesture. Once we were ready to take off, we had a longer delay waiting for FAA clearance. At this point, I would have arrived sooner if I had driven but it is what it is. For such a short flight, an economy ticket was sufficient. Surprisingly the seats were comfortable and spacious!! I'm 5'0" on a good day but these seat would be comfortable for a much taller person to stretch out their legs. The flight attendants were friendly and the cabin was clean and new. My return flight could easily cause this review to go from a 5 to a 2... the crew is not the issue. The planes are the issue!! We departed from the gate for an on time departure. We taxied down the runway then the Captain comes on board and says "we must return to the gate because the computers stopped working so maintenance needs to take a look at the issue." The flight was delayed an hour. We arrived in Jax safe and sound. I did witness flight attendants personally go to passengers with certain flights and layovers that may be impacted by the delay or the weather to provide options. Many decided to deplane for later flights. Again, this shows that JetBlue does care about their passengers.

Well after 22 hours and no updates , we jumped on a greyhound after booking a hotel on our own expense to get home ! JetBlue ticketing , customer service agents and flight crew all deserve to be fired and passengers reimbursed !
