I took the trolley yesterday. The longest I had to wait between trolleys was 10 minutes. It is more expensive with the longer route and longer hours. $1 per each ride and they are cash only and don't take change. So, if you have any stops in between, make sure you have enough singles for each time you get back on.

I wish the Skyway extended further to Brooklyn and ran on the weekends. There typically is a few route options to get you to your destination. Inside the JTA HQ is a Conitti's coffee shop. A great place with seats and wifi if you have a layover in your commute. Bring a jacket for the bus it's typically pretty cold

Over the weekend, we were waiting for a bus that went by early and left us to get rained on and waiting one hour for the next bus. Why go by early and leave people stranded especially on a route that only runs once an hour. We couldn't even try to walk where we were going, because it was raining so badly and had no choice but to shelter and wait.

The beaches shuttle system is scheduled to run May 3 through Sept. 6 on Friday nights 7pm to 2am, Saturdays noon to 2am and Sundays are noon to 6pm. The trolleys will operate longer hours on Sunday, July Fourth, running from noon to 2 a.m., and Monday, Sept. 6, for Labor Day, running from noon to 6 p.m. The trolleys will continue to go back and forth from South Beach Regional Shopping Center in South Jacksonville Beach to Atlantic Village Shopping Center in Atlantic Beach. But only on 3rd Street. They will avoid First Street, which is narrow and peppered with pedestrians, which slows the operation. The return time at any given trolley stop is about 20 minutes and I don't think that's too bad of wait or price given the dangerousness of drinking and driving and what that could cost you! Besides, I don't want to be out there on the road with my kids and your drunk butt is driving!! See ya at the trolley stop!

I was left stranded outside the bus station, which was closing, without a ticket refund of the trip Miami, FL.- to- Worcester, MA. I was left stranded in Jacksonville, FL. In the middle of the night enroute to Massachusetts for a funeral, and no means to purchase a new ticket- to finish the long distance bus trip! The Amtrak station wasn't crowded; it was clean and the staff was very pleasant. There seems to have been some renovations going on at the station, which is good. It was an easy process to check our luggage and just wait on the train, which was delayed a bit. Of note, there were delays throughout the trip. Not one time was any of the trains ever on time. There were multiple stops along the way to pick up travelers and to drop off travelers at various stations. But we always made the next connection. This was our first train ride of this kind. Both my husband and I wanted the experience of an overnight train ride. We traveled from Jacksonville to New York City (overnight), then caught another train (9-hour ride; Coach seats very comfortable; very ample leg room) from New York City to Niagara Falls, then took a taxi across the border to the Canadian side. Though we paid for a "first class" experience, the accommodations were definitely not "first class." Definitely need an upgrade in terms of the rooms. Still, the experience of traveling and not having to deal with anything near the stress of catching a flight was just very satisfying. We purchased the bedroom and the space was very tight, but it was private and peaceful. Enjoying the scenery along the way was awesome. The meals were good and the service we received was top notch. With the meals, we had the option of eating in the dining room, or having our meals brought to our room. We exercised both options throughout the trip. Note, there is a "cafe" on board the train as well for those who were riding coach and for anyone who wanted to purchase food in between meals. On our return trip back, we had a bit of a layover in NY so we were able to enjoy the lounge (complimentary food, spacious seating area). The staff at the station in NY City train station were simply amazing; so very helpful and with great attitudes - considering the hustle and bustle!

I explained what happened to my bus driver and he allowed me to ride anyways. It's the small things that make my day and that really helped. I tend to notice that the men are more friendly to me and the women shy away, I guess it's a self esteem thing. But when you work at a place like this you really must be neutral no matter how you feel about someone.
