The other morning I noticed the house was getting chilly inside and I realized that the furnace has not kicked on yet. I did all of my normal troubleshooting steps without a conclusive result. I found Bree's Heating and Cooling on Yelp, great reviews/ close by, and gave them a call. They took down my information and a quick description of our furnace issue. He said he would be over within an hour and he was. He quickly identified the part and checked on availability. He let me know upfront the total cost for the repair and I gave him the greenlight to proceed. He returned with the part and took care of the install and swept up at the end. I feel very fortunate to have the whole thing done in 3 hours from initial phone call to invoice. Joe was our tech and was professional and prompt. I would not hesitate to call Bree's or recommend them for any heating & cooling needs in the future. read more

Our AC went down on a 90 plus degree day. Multiple places and Bree's was the only one that could come in less than two week notice. Not only that but they came in 20 min! Our Ac was fixed shortly after. I will definitely be using them for any issues in the future read more

MARK MY WORDS: BEWARE BREE'S HEATING AND COOLING! My issue started with my central air conditioning unit underperforming and not able to lower my inside home temp under 76 so I called Bree's Heating & Cooling. At the first Bree's Heating & Cooling repair appointment I paid $539 for parts ($350 for 2.5 pounds of expensive frion) and labor and I was assured the issue was fixed. My home never was still not able to properly cool after that "repair". Second visit, Bree's Heating & Cooling came back and after 10 minutes said my issue was 100% with my thermostat and I was told if I had the "faulty" thermostat was replaced the AC cooling issue would be resolved 100%. Third home visit, 3rd party professional technician installed an expensive new thermostat. My AC is STILL not working properly and Bree's Heating and Cooling forced me to remove an expensive and (likely) fine performing thermostat because of their poor diagnosis. Fourth home visit, called Bree's Heating & Cooling and he said he would be over next day between 9-10. Unbelievably, Bree's Heating & Cooling never showed up! Fifth home visit, Bree's Heating & Cooling showed up, did nothing other than inspect, and claimed my AC is working when they left. Not true at all. My central air has been running for four hours and can't bring the temp lower than 76. I am extremely frustrated with Bree's heating and cooling. Unconscionably I was told if Bree's Heating & Cooling is requested to come out again to continue to fix my issue, I would be charged further $ because, "I can't fix a problem I can't find"...I am being further penalized for their inability to solve the issue. Unbelievable gall to warn me I have more charges coming because they failed at fixing the initial job. Stay away from Bree's Heating & Cooling. BIG RED FLAGS! Miserable experience. AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! My furnace had issue on Christmas eve day. Furnace was blowing but not hot air and by 8am, thermostat was reading 46 deg. Started calling furnace repair companies. Got couple of responses but each had already a few backlogs to service. Finally called Bree's. Jack answered and said he can come over in 30m. I was surprised by his promise of turnaround. Jack came to my home after an hour and half or so. He started looking at the furnce and did so for atleast 20m. And when I asked him what is going on with furnace, he immediately said he have bad news for you. Jack said circuit board is broken and the part costs around $650 (and with install fee total of $725). I was taken back and started asking few questions. But he insisted it is the bad board. Then he gave me more bad news. Said, circuit boards are not easily available and only few stores sell them and he usually get them from a store in Detroit and its not open at the moment. Jack said we will be without heat until Tuesday morning (27th). Apparently all stores are closed on Christmas Eve and wont open until Tuesday. I pressed him more and suggested few stores. He immediately said they won't have it. Then I suggested Repair Clinic. Jack said they will have it but he already tried calling them and got no answer. As RepairClinic was close to my home, I suggested I would go and get it. Immediately he started acting strangely. Jack said he needs to go and attend another service call and cannot spend another minute at my place. As I did not have heat and I need his service/help, I said I understand and agreed to call him the moment I have the part. Jack took his $150 visit fee and left. I went to repair clinic and bought the circuit board for $195 (not $650 like he asked). While I was at RepairClinic, another furnace repair company called me and checked if I still needed help? I told them my story and where I was. The company offered me to help if Jack won't turn up. Got their contact. . Now with the part, when I called Jack back, the first question he asked me was what was the cost of the part? Once he heard the price he said he cannot make it within an hour or so but can send another technician. He said he is going to call me back in 30m to confirm. After 30m when I did not hear back and I called him. Jack asked me for $450 to come and install the part. Apparently he wanted $450 for coming back to me on Christmas Eve. When I questioned him why he was charging me $725 and would only come back on Tuesday in the first place. Jack got agitated and said "Do you want this part to be installed or not" (he did not ask me if I want my furnce back to working condition but was more interested to install the part). Immediately I understood he was cheating and trying to take me for a ride. I said I will call him back. . Now called back the second furnace company. And when the techinican came and looked at my furnace and tapped the pressure switch, furnace turned on and started blowing hot air!!!!! . Avoid Jack and Bree's Heating & Cooling at all costs. He is in the business to collect $150 service money and cheat. read more

We recently purchased our first home in January and realized once the 80 and 90 degree days started hitting us that our air conditioner didn't work properly and that it was very old (pretty much the same situation for our furnace as well). I called several companies and ultimately had three come out for a quote. Jack from Bree's was the first (and only) one that made me feel like an actual priority. He made time to stop by our home the very day I called, after his work day was finished, to give us a quote. We liked him immediately for the fact that he made the time for us, but also that he wore shoe coverings inside our home and a mask (something that the first company who attempted to fix our air conditioner previously did not do). He was willing to work with us on pricing and out of the other companies that came for a quote after, also ended up the being the kindest, the most considerate, and again, the only one to make us feel like an actual priority. He was able to fit us in quickly and we were very pleased with the work and the price point! We had the new air conditioner and furnace installed in June and it has been working great. This is a local, family business (Jack, his son, and grandson worked together on the removal of our old system and installation of the new one) that we were very happy to support. They are clearly very dedicated to the business and that was evident through each of our interactions with them. We will absolutely be using them again for all of our heating and cooling needs! read more

We recently (last fall) had a smart thermostat installed in our home and this past weekend was our first time using our air conditioner since the new unit was installed... or so we thought! Our A/C would not turn on and after trouble shooting with the thermostat company it was determined to be an issue with our air conditioning unit. I reached out to Bree's Heating & Cooling around noon & just as I was going to leave a message, I was called back and told quite possibly someone could come out today to our home... poof, 2 hours later Jack arrived! He was professional, wore protective shoe covers in our home and a face covering. Jack was very friendly and communicative about what the problems were and took care of it immediately. Needless to say, my hot flashes are at ease once again with our working A/C and we're back in business and ready for summer! I will certainly be calling Bree's again in the future for our HVAC needs and truly appreciate the prompt, professional service. read more

Blower on furnace went out in middle of night. Called several places to request service and was given multiple days wait times. Finally called Bree's at 8:30am, tech (Jack) came before 10am, worked within my tight budget to help me get it fixed by mid-afternoon same day. Jack was pleasant and professional. I will be calling them again when it's time to replace the whole furnace. read more

Air Conditioner stopped working and thermostat was reading 81 degrees in our condo at the same time as having water damage in our basement and the drying process happening. Called Jack at Bree's Heating and Cooling and explained everything. Jack gave some advice and was at my door in 15 minutes - he was in the area. He fixed the condenser and adjusted the freon which helped only a bit. Called him at around 7:30 PM and he said he would be out early the next day. He was at my door at 7:30 am - adjusted the freon and everything is working perfectly! Jack was no only a great technician but also a very nice gentleman.
