When I met with my stylist Katie, she gave me a thorough consultation and I provided her a picture of what I had in mind for the cut. It was a pleasure speaking with her throughout my visit and she did an excellent job at reproducing the style I had requested. I couldn't be happier with with the result and will certainly be returning for my next cut!

Me and the stylist had decided on going through with a color correction since i was originally going to go blonde from brown and had red color in my hair. They were super accommodating when I had to reschedule because of jury duty to 7/17. The issues came when I called ahead of time (6/25) if i should stick to the colour correction since I had changed my mind from going bleach blonde to something close to my natural with chunky highlight. The receptionist gave me her number and asked me to send her photos of my current hair and an inspo which i did during our call at 2:02 pm. She said the owner was out of town and wanted to consult her first. I had to take the time off of work way in advance so I was hoping they would call me if they cancelled. The day before I call and the part time receptionist finds out my appointment was cancelled and no one knows why. I am slightly frustrated because again I took time off work and no one seems to know about why it's canceled or anything about the photos I had sent. She offered to rebook me and then go find out but being wary of scheduling more time off without a service I just asked if she could find out first and then call me back. I never received a call back. They were nothing but kind to me but I just felt like as a new client they weren't too interested in doing my hair so I will be going somewhere else. Just a shame because I liked the place before but I feel like its more effort than it's worth when it seems so disorganized.

Our last cut we were told prices were going up again this year. Yet no improvements have been done to this place in decades. Fixtures falling off the walls. Definitely not worth $85 for a men's cut. You just got too dam greedy. Then you want a tip, so $110 per cut. More if you have to pay to park. Just no longer worth it. Found a great Solon in west Haven got two cuts and some gel and tipped just $120. Had a better quality cut. To the owner be better do better. You lost 2 longtime customers. For men you can go to hammer and nails and get a cut and a treatment of choice for the same as a cut here. Make it make sense.

I set out seeking help for a hair catastrophe that needed a dire fix! (haha long story). Upon arrival, I was met with the salon owner, Casey. I gave her a quick run down of my predicament & she was able to fit me in. Despite feeling a bit stressed & defeated, her warmth, kindness & understanding put me at ease. Considering the shape of my hair, I wasn't sure I'd have even a decent outcome. However, as I told her, she was an absolute god send! Not only did she salvage majority of my locks, but it turned out beautiful! The final result was way better than expected & I was incredibly thrilled & relieved. I am beyond appreciative of her phenomenal skills & humility. She didn't have to, but Casey went the extra mile & surpassed it. Not only are her 'cuts' classic, but so is she. The entire salon gave off a wholesome & professional atmosphere. Definitely a class act establishment in my book. I hope everyone had a great holiday, & I pray for a wonderful impending new year for all!

Next, she finished the top and sent me on my way. I'm actually switching to Bellisima. The cost is cheaper, the cut was quicker and left me excited to show it off. While I can only speak to having Victoria cut my hair, the place was busy and happy. If you can set an appointment with Victoria, do it. You'll be happy you did.

However after finding out that that hair salon could no longer cut my hair due to a staff change, I was in desperate need for a skilled hairdresser to take on the challenge that is my thick curly hair. With a lot of skepticism and with my nerves high, I called and tried to schedule an appointment with whoever was available. The receptionist told me that someone named Rebecca was available and she could cut my hair the following Monday. Rebecca did an amazing job, which made me decide that this was a new hair salon for me. However I then tried to reschedule an appointment three months later, and found out that Rebecca had taken another job. Rather than be nervous about who else would be able to cut my hair, I very confidently explain my situation to the receptionist and she recommended Lucy. I have never had an experience at a hair salon as good as the experiences I've had with Lucy, I have shown her three different pictures of hair ideas that I want, and she has matched them to perfection... And I am not an easy customer to please. In addition, I typically find it rather difficult to keep conversation with my hairdresser, but with Lucy the conversation flows easily and you can tell she is genuine and truly cares about her clientele. Please, please, if you are considering this hair salon definitely choose it. I've never had an entire staff team be so gentle with my scalp, while also being careful not to damage the curls that I have worked so hard to grow out. I drive 75 miles to get my haircut and highlighted, and I will continue to do that as long as this place is open.
