Update: Emily left me with tiger stripes! At first, I was hoping that I was just in shock. I tipped her and left. However, after I arrived home, I took a couple of photos of the sides of my head and notice completely unblended highlights against my dark brown hair. I sent the photo to another stylist that I know and she replied, "Whoa! Stripes!" I immediately called another salon, set up a same day appointment! I paid a total stranger for color correction that night. I ended up just having to color the crown dark to hide the terrible highlights. To my credit, I did show Emily a picture, but I don't think she took enough time to study the photo. Maybe Emily had an off day? Stick with Michelle if you plan to visit this location! Old Review: I've been to this salon five times now. I've seen two stylists: Michelle and Emily. Michelle is typically booked and after waiting over a month to see her the first time, and over a week the second time, I decided to try Emily based upon her positive reviews. Emily is the first stylist I've ever had who understands what I want without having to go into detail, which is ideal! I trust her good judgement. She doesn't waste time, but she's still personable without being contrived. Emily is also very punctual, I've never waited more than ten minutes to see her. I highly recommend either stylist and the establishment. read more

I LOVE this salon! I have recommended so many people to it. My best friend from 1st grades mom works there and she does my hair. It's always a great time and super comfortable! The only downfall is lots of people do love it so its always very full and sometimes difficult to get an appointment. Ask for Michelle she does wonders especially with blonde and toning! read more

I came here for a balayage around March or April and I was not satisfied with the work. I wanted to go lighter so she explained that she did not want to ruin my hair by adding lightener so she lifted it with color .. I ended up leaving with the same color I had before There was really no difference when I left the salon. She focused the color more in the front and in the back part of my hair she only foiled like three pieces-of hair and I paid for a full Balayage what a rip off!! I was dissatisfied with this salon and service and I will not be coming here again.. read more

So first let me say-- Alayna is amazing, and if it weren't for her, I don't think I would go back here. I have had great experiences here with Alayna every time. There are also other ladies here who do a decent job. However- I was disappointed to see that the salon had begun asking for your credit card information when you book so they can charge you if you are a no show. I realize that no shows are problematic, but I do not like having to put my card information in upon booking an appointment. Like seriously- if someone is a regular customer, who has become loyal to your salon, why would you do this? So what if on the off chance something completely out of the ordinary happens and I can't stop to call because (literally I could be scrubbed into a 5 hour case or circulating that should have been 2 hours and I cannot leave- and if this is happening, we are most likely doing an emergent type life saving procedure on a child-which has absolutely happened)-I get charged??! Is losing one appointment that was not intentional from a regular client worth potentially losing that client, who would be a regular source of income in the future? I guess I could see it if it was a brand new client who hadn't become an established regular, but I have been going here for a year now- well unless you don't count the time I have missed because of the pandemic. And then- get this- during the pandemic, they were offering to sell you your specific color formula with curbside pickup- AT THE SAME PRICE THEY CHARGE YOU FOR THE SERVICE TO HAVE IT DONE BY THEIR STYLISTS IN THE SALON!! WHAT??!! I sent an email to express my disappointment with this incredulous scheme, but they didn't even bother to respond. So- it gets better- this is what prompted my review this evening- they just sent out an email update saying they are preparing to open and they are excited, blah blah blah...well I was semi excited- until I read that- because of the length of time it has been since the last color service, they would be charging MORE than their usual charges because there will be more growth to cover--- really??? While yes, this is true, how much more product will they have to use? A couple of tablespoons? And as far as time, instead of short brush strokes they will have to brush stroke in another half an inch to an inch? Give me a break!! I understand they are looking for excuses- I mean- ways to recoup some of the money they lost while closed, but remember-- most likely a large percentage of your loyal customer base have either been completely out of work, or had their hours substantially cut (like myself), but you will penalize us ?? Honestly- if it wasn't for the fact that they use a color product that actually gives full coverage to my resistant gray (and because of Alayna), I most likely would not even come back here. read more

Deborah is working wonders on my hair. First the cut she did was amazing best one I have had. She has been working with me to get the colors I want but it will be a process. I saw Deborah for the first time to fix a really bad Balayage treatment done by a student at Everett Community College. I heard her say it was her first time doing one when she was about halfway done with my hair. It was horrible brassy and orange on the top and ashy blonde on my bangs. It looked ridiculous. Deborah performed a miracle!! She got the ugly, brassy tones out of it and was able to get it to actually look and feel good. She is my hair person from now on. read more

The appointment process was great! I called and was able to get an appointment within 2 hours. I saw Kristen and she was awesome. She listened to exactly what I wanted and also gave me some suggestion based on questions that I had. I went to BryCyn for the first time a yesterday. I had below shoulder length hair and wanted a short blunt cut bob. Stacy was my stylist and she did an amazing job. My hair looked great leaving the salon but the true test was how it would look after I showered and let it dry with no styling. To my pleasant relief it fell just right and looks great both styled and unstyled. Thank you Stacy you are a pro and you made my day! read more

After a series of REALLY bad haircuts and with not much left to work with other than to go "pixie", I was willing to give it one last shot. I figured at this point what does it matter, right? I was given an appointment with Stephanie and when I went in I dutifully explained that I was going to be her worst nightmare. At this point I sincerely didn't know what I wanted to do. She was very patient with me and threw a few ideas at me, one of which I went with, put some color in it and clean it up. I LOVE it! I'm not a fan of short hair on me, but what she did works. My husband thinks it's really cute. I may even keep it this way. I can't thank her enough for fixing the mess. I scheduled another appointment before I walked out the door. read more

I normally do not do reviews but feel compelled to write a review on behalf of my 76 year old mother who is not savvy at this. My mom went to her appointment a few weeks ago & called in from her car to let them know she was there. After waiting in her car for 20 minutes they called her & told her Deborah didn't have time to do her hair. She asked if someone else was able to do it since she drove from Mill Creek & her hair was long overdue for a cut due to COVID, but they could not fit her in. This is ridiculous & no one called her beforehand to cancel, she even received the automated message on her phone to confirm, which she did a few days prior to her appt. The worst part is Deborah cancelled on my mom another time a few months ago. That time my mom was waiting in the lobby & Deborah told her she didn't have time to do her hair that day. This is 2 times they have cancelled on her w/o letting her know beforehand & my mom has only gone to this salon about 5 times! I really couldn't believe this, my husband owns his own business & he was appalled as well that my mom was treated this way. I know my mom will be treated much better @ the next place she goes to, & both my mom & I will never recommend this place. A simple apology is all she would have needed, horrible customer service in my opinion & definitely not the way to run a successful business. read more

This review was long overdue, I had gone to Brecyn for an ombre last year and took a picture of what exactly I needed done, color included. My hair dresser whose name I forgot (redhead) made a complete mess out of the ombre (roots were lighter than ends because she added foils to the top of my head which came out a weird metallic color. I did let her know that it was a disaster but she did not have time to fix it right then and there and to be honest I did not want her anywhere around my hair at that point. I called again and was given another appointment with one of their more experienced hairdressers, who basically interrogated me before fixing my hair, to make sure that the dreadful result I got from the first one was not my fault. The "fix" which took almost 4 hours was better than the mess but nowhere near what I wanted and left my hair in poor shape. Needless to say I never went back. read more

Deborah is awesome! I'm not going to lie. I'm a super picky client. My hair is fine, but I have a ton of it per square inch. It's naturally straight in the front and curly in the back. So, I really need a stylist, who knows their stuff to make my hair look amazing. Deborah always does a great job. She is especially talented at highlighting. She knows how to produce a gorgeous blonde without frying your hair. I get so many compliments on the color. If you are looking for a stylist, who knows blondes, Deborah is your girl! read more

I have my hair cut only a couple of times a year here by Emily. Even though I come so infrequently, Emily always remembers exactly how I want my hair cut and styled. No matter when I come the salon is always busy. It's clean and they use and carry top of the line hair products. Hands down, BreCyn is the best salon in the area and I would even recommend others to travel to them if they aren't close by. I have gotten to know Alayna over the years and she is so kind and great to work with. I have very thick and curly/wavy hair that's sometimes a pain to deal with but, she never rushes through our appointments and I feel comfortable reaching out to her if I want anything changed. I've been getting my hair done at BreCyn for years now and have to say the staff is beyond helpful and always so kind. They seem to have a great group of stylists with years of experience and every time I go in it seems they're offering new services, be it waxing, facials, or new products. They stylists are constantly taking classes on new techniques and learning new styles of up-dos and practicing on their own time and it's so refreshing to know they'll be prepared for whatever I request. Emily is beyond amazing and my hair always turns out exactly the way I request. What I appreciate most is it is not an intimidating environment. At other salons I've been afraid to ask to come back in if I needed an extra inch taken off after a major haircut or if I needed my bangs a little bit shorter but Emily is always so great to fit me in when it's convenient for my schedule and more than happy to make changes until I'm 100% pleased with the outcome, even though she only ever gives me exactly what I ask for to begin with. Sometimes you just don't know if you love it until you get home and style it for a few days on your own and being able to go back in without feeling guilty is so refreshing. I came here for my first time a few weeks ago and had Deborah as my stylist. I came in wanting to re do the black to purple ombré I had done by another salon in October. Deborah showed me how dead my hair was from the previous stylist bleaching the bottom of my hair to death and cautioned me away from it. In the end my hair is a little hard shorter now but the healthiest it's been in years and she was still able to give me my black to purple look I wanted. 100% recommend her as she will look out for your hair, give you great results and is super nice and fun to talk to! read more
