Build Yo Salad

Build Yo Salad

I'm here for a week and this is my second amazing lunch here (and I highly recommend their Build…read moreYo Poke restaurant, too). You literally can make limitless combos to have your salad exactly as you want. All dressings are made in-house, which is pretty impressive. You can order a rice bowl with ingredients, too. The portions are beyond generous (a small salad would be considered large elsewhere) and the array of ingredients and toppings is exceptional. On my first visit, I ordered a small spinach salad with grilled salmon. As toppings, I added chopped red onion, shredded carrot, pineapple, mandarin oranges, blueberries, chopped strawberries, chopped beet, blue cheese, sliced avocado, dried cranberries with their in house made raspberry vinaigrette. It was literally one of the most delicious salads I've ever had. I was so stuffed from the generous portion that I didn't need dinner. On my second visit, I got a veggie wrap with grilled chicken, chickpeas, tomatoes, cucumbers, red onion, shredded carrot, blue cheese, sliced avocado. I got the in-house buttermilk ranch dressing on the side (and ended up not using it-sandwich was amazing without it). I was asked if I wanted chicken warmed (I didn't) and I was amazed at the skill of the preparer who was able to tightly wrap the ginormous quantity of ingredients into the wrap and halve it. I only ate half my sandwich so I have lunch for tomorrow. Win-win. The black cherry tarragon soda was so good as was the Italian lemon soda. Their soups sounded great as did their desserts. The staff was so friendly and helpful. (Don't forget to tip!) The tvs on the walls show cool food art being made. I'd come here and their Poke place at least twice a week for lunch if I lived locally. Prices are extremely reasonable for quality and quality of food.

El Primo Mexican Grill - Combo Fajitas!! Yes and !!!

Let me just say -- I am SO glad we listened. It's about 7 miles down the road in Hamilton, a place we'd never been to and didn't know much about. The storefront is simple and unassuming, but the moment you walk in, it's warm, welcoming, and inviting -- the kind of place where you instantly feel comfortable. We ordered beers, I had a premium skinny margarita with a Tajín rim (chef's kiss ), and we shared the combination fajitas. And the food... WOW. The food is freaking amazing. No really -- the food is freaking amazing. Let me say it one more time -- the food is freaking amazing. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The service was awesome -- friendly, attentive, and genuine without being over-the-top. This is not a fussy, pretentious spot -- it's just really, really good food, great drinks, and excellent service. We live in Atlanta, but honestly? I would drive out here just to eat at El Primo. It's that good. If you're anywhere near Callaway or passing through Hamilton, this place is an absolute must-stop. You want good Mexican food, good drinks, and a great atmosphere? El Primo is it.

The inside seating area is very nice, along with an outdoor seating space. Our take away order was ready before cook finish me beer. The person who took my order verified that everything was correct, and I was on my way. My combo fajitas were delicious. Everything was seasoned to perfection. All of the sides were vey good. We will return.

It's promoted as the energy builder. I had the Raspberry vinaigrette to top it and it was like the icing on the cake! One container of it is enough. I really wanted to like my "plate" after I was done but I have home training. No reason to act like that over a salad right? Man, please...It was good! There are p salads to choose from or you can just build your own salad. She has rebottled water to provide you with some alkaline H20...just everything healthy and she's very knowledgeable in her craft. I'm looking forward to my next salad. We ordered a couple of their specialty salads and were not disappointed. They were packaged to go but we ended up dining in. See photo for cute to-go pic. There was a complimentary water station with 2 offerings: a cucumber water and a ginger infused water. I never had ginger water before and i really liked it! My Bouncing Blueberry salad tasted as fresh as i expected, it was chock full of ingredients and very filling. I highly recommend this veteran-owned business and supporting their mission of spreading preventative health education thru food.

Talk about poor, poor service. I don't think Iv ever had a situation handled as poorly by the…read moremanagement as at this restaurant. Don't go if you expect to get a problem resolved. They will send out a 12 year old looking girl to handle the situation. My guest ordered the chimichanga. The description said "stuffed with beans and your choice of meat". The food comes and my guest notices that there are no beans, not one. Not a pinto, a black bean, kidney bean or baked bean in sight. So we asked the waitress and she said she would take it back to be fixed. She shortly returned with the plate and told us that beans didn't come with the chimichanga. We said that we knew beans didn't come as a side but per the menu it was "stuffed" with beans. She went on to say there was a small amount in the chimichanga, my guest forked through the food and showed there was no beans. She left and came back with a small bowl of refried beans and said we could have these even though it didn't come with beans. We just went with it. By the end of dinner my other guest wanted to resolve the issue with the manager. A young lady who literally appeared to be about 12 or 13 came and told us it didn't come with beans and there is a small amount of beans in it. My guest said that the menu was misleading at best and not really fair to the customer. The manager girl said that was the way it is and the have a nice day. The food was not bad, the southwest egg rolls were fantastic. We will never go back and I will tell every single person I can to not go here. I'd rather have a great experience with mediocre food than be treated like a dummy. Maybe it was because we were an interracial couple but I don't want to go there. This was my second time there. The first time we had a mixup with our drink. Neither then nor this visit did we want a discount, refund or compensation, just a simple fix they couldn't handle. Save the headache and go to Guadalajara in Kitten Lake.
