I really enjoyed this spot. You can get a genuinely good, classic breakfast here. Nothing fancy, nothing over priced just good food. It's a easy, nice and has plenty on the menu for any mood or craving. You can tell this is an Agoura Hills staple by how busy it always is. Looking for a new breakfast spot in the area and I saw this place based on the many reviews. It was a nice drive from Simi coming down through the back way via Kanan. Coffee was fresh and we liked the unlimited refills as long as you're ok with using the self serve station. They even have flavored creamer to sweeten it up even more. I was very happy with the fresh squired OJ. Very delicious. We were greeted with a smile as we ordered from the counter. The gentlemen gave us some good suggestions since it was our 1st time. We both ordered the Avocado Omelette w/ jack cheese. We waited awhile to receive our meal but once it arrived at our table, we could tell the generous portions of avocado on top of the omelette was very fresh. There were a fair number of customers during the lunch rush, but seating was not a problem. Still I decided to take my order to go. Not a very good looking place, but for some reason I think it's really reassuring. Doesn't really fit in with the fancy hair salon next door, but it's got a cute, homey vibe to it. Not just for breakfast and Absolutely solid! The menu offers a surprising number of options and every dish I've had has been very very good. Coffee is self serve and has a variety of... Well, of coffee varieties (I just wish they had skim milk). Pancakes are excellent even without syrup. Tuna melt and gyro sandwiches are a mainstay for me. Nick, the owner, is always friendly and is another reason I keep coming back. I love to come to Breakfast Cafe with my family on the weekends. When it comes to picking a place to have good fresh eggs and good service that never fails Breakfast Cafe. I live blocks away and is been a tradition already to get up late and go have good breakfast but make sure you get there by 3:00 pm because they only open till that time. I been noticing new changes like new paint and new frames not sure if it's under new owners. French toast are my favorite with bacon and three fresh farm eggs yum they are delicious. How great to have a "coffee shop" in Oak Park! Everything is excellent here, and don't let the name fool you. Although they serve breakfast all day (Omelettes are excellent, and no extra charge for egg-whites), they have a pretty varied menu and I haven't been disappointed yet. My son says the turkey burger is the best he's had anywhere. Great tuna on toast too. No waitress service keeps the prices down, and the staff (and owner Nick, who is there all the time) are extremely friendly and helpful. The place is very clean, too. It's easy to see why other restaurants in this space have failed... Breakfast Cafe does the basics right and everything else falls into place. They appear to be doing ok ... Breakfast Cafe is a solid place for a hearty and quick breakfast. I was surprised and pleased to see the Greek offerings on their menu. Our party had a Greek omelette, pancakes, eggs, bacon, toast, and coffee. Everything was very tasty, and the portions were generous. Prices are also very reasonable - a winning combination, indeed. We'll be back and will try some of the Greek dishes next time. This restaurant space is one that I refer to as the "kiss of death" because of the high turnover of the businesses that occupy that location.
