I like their cheese burger, and it is priced right. However, they charge quite a bit for fries. Their breakfast is nothing special. In fact, my friend's home fries were burnt and bitter. Quite an array of choices and I got the Italian sausage omelette which had real Italian sausage bits in it absolutely amazing! I added bacon of course their Bacon's delicious they're all nuts are also very good size. He made hash browns I got them extra crispy which the way I like them however I did ask for no tomato but the only it did come with some tomatoes but not enough for me to send it back. Their coffee is really good you have a choice of six different kinds so you can play Mixology with coffee. Order at the counter and go pick your seats but make sure to tip them because they're working hard! I used to go to the one in Camarillo but I live in Westlake now so I'd thought I'd try out the oak park one. I love this place it's like a mom and pops breakfast diner very old school but the food is amazing! My friend absolutely loves the breakfast burritos they are his favorite. I've tried a lot of the different menu items and the omlettes are always yummy and I had blueberry waffles for the first time and I think that is my favorite now. I love how I can pay for a cup of coffee and get as many refills as I want especially cause I love my morning cups of coffee. Now everytime I come in, I know the workers and they pretty much know me and I always feel very welcomed and they are very helpful and nice. Would recommend this place to everyone ! read more

What a pleasant surprise! We live in North Ranch and had a little time to grab a bite in between appointments. Right from the beginning the gentleman behind the counter was so nice. He suggested the Mickey Mouse pancakes for my kids, which they both loved. I had a chicken sandwich on a wheat bun that was delicious, and my wife had the zucchini fries and chocolate shake. We also has 2 bottled waters and the owner gave us 2 drinks for the kids on the house. I couldn't believe the bill was a little over 20 bucks! Quality food, great customer service and great prices. No wonder this place is always packed! Even though they were busy our food came out really fast! Kudos to the owners of this restaurant! They run a tight ship and are doing things just right!! Menu has a large selection of breakfast and lunch items which can be eaten for dinner as well; breakfast is served all day. Variety of omelettes, hamburgers, soups, salads, sides, and milkshakes..... Had a breakfast burrito it was well-prepared with a nice warm tortilla with plenty of eggs, ham and cheese inside; I omitted the potatoes since I'm not a potato eater. In the future I'll try their homemade potato, it was explained to me by the owner the potatoes are peeled, seasoned, and cooked to order. I have a stomach ache now :( A friend has the gyro and said that was good but everyone else in my group of 5 agreed the food was dry and the French fries were flavorless and very greasy. As others have said, the salsa was pretty bomb, but sadly just about the only thing that was. The service was ok; the server/guy who came around picking up plates was very nice, but the Greek owner and son (?) didn't even smile or look happy. Decided to have breakfast here, Walked in with a friend and right when we walked in a husky Hispanic guy that was behind the counter jumped in front of the register and just stared us down as we were looking over the menu didn't say hi, hello or even good morning. Kinda bad customer service right off the back. But I mean the fact he didn't say hi didn't bother me. It's when I'm sitting down waiting for my food he's standing behind the counter on his phone stuffing his face with a banana as my food is sitting there on the counter. He waits for the other worker (who's actually walking around doing his job) to walk over grab our plates and bring them to our table. What kind of breakfast burrito has no egg? A very profitable one. A $7 burrito? Are they joking? It doesn't stop there though: my last bite included the added value of egg shells-- Yay! Maybe this was intended as a crunchy filler for the missing bacon? And the owner didnt even offer an.apology for the shells but instead blamed the cook. Ha! Way to run a business! Given its location, the locals DON'T know good food. Dont waste your time, your money is better spent going a half a mile down the road to JINKY's cafe for quality breakfast. Aptly named this is a great little breakfast place. Also good for take out. I can speak to both now as I just went over for breakfast with my niece. I had a Greek omelette and she had the avocado omelette. Mine was tasty and exactly as advertised. Hers looked good with a generous portion of fresh avocado slices on top. A side of potatoes and two different sauces (both tasty) and a substitution for the toast that comes with the meal made for two happy girls. The coffee bar features a nice assortment of coffees and miracle upon miracle, the coffee was actually quite good. We had carry out twice previously and both times we were pleasantly surprised. Great fries and lots of them. (Too many.) And, one of the best tuna melts I've encountered in my travels in a long time. The chicken dish was very good, too. Not a fine dining establishment, but nice people trying hard to please and very fair prices with big portions that can be shared. I agree that this is the best restaurant to come to this location. For as long as I can remember, Breakfast Café has been an Oak Park favorite. Whenever I go home to California it's at the top of my list of foods I have to get before I go back to Colorado (which is saying a lot because I'm a sucker for In n Out). As you can probably tell from their name, Breakfast Café serves a variety of breakfast foods, but just in case you wake up too late, they got lunch covered as well. It is your typical American food ranging from waffles and omelets to burgers and sandwiches. It sits in the shopping center off Lindero Rd. across from CVS and Starbucks. As you approach the restaurant you notice the nice outdoor seating (which typically contains some adorable dogs basking in the sun) and the aroma of bacon wafting out the doors. Typically, there is a line out the double doors, but what good restaurant doesn't have a line? Plus, it comes in handy to give you time to look over their extensive menu written above the resisters. The wait is never too long and soon enough you're greeted at the register by a smiling face. Majority of the time you're welcomed by the adorable and sweet owner, but if not, the rest of the staff is just as kind. After you order, you're given a table number and you can head to a table of your choice. Inside are many tables scattered around the large dining area. Up on the walls are a few TVs, along with gorgeous photography and pictures of dream travel destinations. My preferred seating is outdoors. After living in Colorado for two years I try and soak up as much California sun as possible (also it's where the dogs are). After a reasonable amount of time, the food is brought out looking as delicious as always by another sweet smiling face who makes sure you have everything you need. My favorite item to order is by far the waffles. They have a hint of cinnamon and the fluffy, cloud like consistency that every waffle wishes it had. A close second would be the omelets splashed with some of their red salsa that give the dish just the kick it needs. I have been coming to eat here for as long as I can remember, and it has never failed me. I've spent numerous Mother's and Father's Day brunches sitting in the comfort of this restaurant and I can't wait to one day bring my kids. There really aren't any other breakfast places in the area, and the ones that exist, don't even compare. It's rare that you find a family owned, reasonably priced, delicious restaurant, but Breakfast Café hits it all. If you're ever in the small town of Oak Park California I highly recommend that everyone take a trip to Breakfast Café because I guarantee it won't disappoint. My friends and I would regularly attend during our high school days to grab a quick bite that we could trust would to delicious and not break our small teenage wallets. This place never gets old and I hope it's around for years to come. It adds something special to our small town of Oak Park that doesn't have much else to offer, but hey at least we have waffles right? read more

You order at the counter and seat yourself. It was busy but not crowded at all. There was plenty of seating if you come with a large group too. We sat outside which was really nice since its in a quiet shopping complex. Our food was brought out to us within 15 minutes, maybe less. I had the eggs Benedict and my cousin enjoyed the breakfast burrito, both were delicious! Between the staff, location, and price... It's a hidden gem!
