No fighting for attention or waving frantically to get another drink. Service is attentive. And those potato chips? Just salty enough to keep everyone ordering another round. Now, one small annoyance, the dress code. It's listed as Semi-formal Chic with no ballcaps, no athletic wear, no sleeveless shirts. Yet we saw shorts and sneakers slide through because they were attached to a rich mommy and daddy. Fine but I liked looking at the beautiful people more than spoiled kids (over 21 just attached to mom and dad). All that said, this place is far more than its current 3.6 stars on Yelp. Vine Room is one of those spots where you either get it and you'll be back, or you tried it once, didn't understand it, and went online to bash it for no real reason. And that's fine, not every place is for everyone. But if you want really good drinks, exceptional service, and an outstanding sense of comfort and vibe, Vine Room on 5th is absolutely worth your time and your money.
