My GF and I took my 14 y/o daughter to check this out. This was our first time Axe throwing, so we were all a bit nervous, but that quickly dissipated once we started throwing. This is something that we had talked about doing quite often and the opportunity finally presented itself so we took it. To say that it's fun is a huge understatement because We Had A Blast! For those of you thinking about it, it is totally worth it! I would however, recommend that if you are a strong thrower, like we all were, to request the medium size axes instead of the small ones they initially give you. The heavier axe made a huge difference for all 3 of us! I must also mention that the price was also really inexpensive. $30 per person for an hour of throwing was very affordable. I must also add that an hour was more than adequate because it's a really great workout and we were Tired when we were done. We are definitely going to do this again in the near future! read more

Really disappointed by the paint room and feel totally ripped off. Paid $75 for three people and what we got was the most watered down paint imaginable that you couldn't even see when it splattered on the wall, 3 tiny paint brushes that looked like they got it from the dollar store that you couldn't paint anything with because again the paint was so watered down it was unusable, and then a room with a completely busted drum set in it that I guess you were supposed to put paint on but it was so broken and the paint was so bad you could hardly do anything. The "coveralls" were $1 ponchos that didn't even cover you totally. I feel totally scammed and disappointed after getting this as a birthday present for my brother. read more

One and done. For three ppl the price for the glow in dark room for 30 min is kinda pricey. Concept is cool, but room was extremely small, the size of a small bedroom. The temp was slightly warm. Our radio kept cutting off on us and we had to keep stoking and tell the team. They should always make sure radios are charged and working to avoid interruptions seeing we only get 30 min and pay an arm and a leg. With that being said it was definitely a one and done experience. But definitely get it out your system if you're itching lol. read more

Unfortunatey I was incredibly disappointed with my experience at Break Room LA. We booked a "Break Room" for my friends birthday and showed up super excited and on time for our appointment. We waited nearly half a hour. During this the staff explained to us that appointment times often get double booked with the axe throwing experience and we would have to wait for our turn. Because of the push back we were late for other birthday reservations and almost missed the dinner. After half a hour we were directed to pick our items from a extremely limited selection. I've included photos below but, I would venture to say the shelves were only about 10% full. I politely asked to have our wait time and limited selection compensated with extra points or possibly a discount on a future visit. The manager was not receptive in anyway to my grievances and treatedtalked to me very disrespectfully with attitude. All in all the time in the room was fun but unfortunately was so clouded by the customer service we left feeling very dissatisfied with our experience. We had a lot of friends inquire if they should sign up too and sadly we couldn't give our stamp of approval. Unless the business model of Break Room LA is intended to make customers more angry before their turn in the room I would say they fell short of their goals. Very shady business, tried to scam me out of over $400 - their website triple-charged me for a booking. The manager refused to speak with me but the staff member said they would process a refund. Later, via email, the manager told me not to tell my bank and offered a way lower refund of about 40% while saying he needed to keep a lot of the money as a "fee". Then, days of radio silence on their end, no replies to my followup emails - waiting me out. Thankfully I canceled my debit card right away and looped the bank in; which got me a full refund within 45 days due to the emails proving their sketchiness. I never write negative reviews but I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone - phone calls, emails, canceling my card and waiting 45 days for my bank appeal to come through. read more

I came here for the 20 minute rage room + unlimited axe throwing package on a Sunday afternoon. Location/Indoor Space: 3 out of 5 We were not able to find parking here in a lot. I think there was a lot dedicated to Break Room LA, but it all seemed full, so we didn't even try. Thankfully, we found street parking and it was free, because street parking with the meter does not charge on Sundays (yay, little victories). Inside, the space is a lot smaller than I had expected. It can be crammed, especially in the hallway area if there are multiple people walking by. I am hoping their HVAC system is cleaned and maintained to provide the best circulation. At the beginning of the hallway, there is a mirror, where you can take a mirror selfie. Of course, I took advantage of this, for sure! Axe Throwing: 3.5 out of 5 We were started off with the axe throwing. The staff walked us over and gave a few tips, as it was our first time. We got a few decent pictures and videos in addition to a few good aim. This was a great experience, especially for the first time. Each axe throwing station as 2-3 targets, so you can go as a small group and shoot your own targets together. When we went to check when we can go for our rage room appointment, they said we had 10 more minutes, as we had been throwing axe for 30 minutes already (total of 40 minutes). This was surprising to us, because the deal we got with the axe throwing did not state we were limited to 40 minutes. This lack of communication was rather disappointing. If we could, we would have definitely stayed longer. Rage Room: 2 out of 5 I really don't want to say it, but the rage room was a little disappointing. They didn't have anything but a crushed large trash can and a shards of glass everywhere. The room was small, too. I expected there to be additional things like old furniture, appliances, etc. Nada. They gave us cups, bowls, and mugs for us to break. We just dropped them onto the floor and/or hit them with the baseball bat and hammers that were provided. Also, it was incredibly hot in there. Under the protective suit and the face shield helmet that were provided, I was burning up in there. Needless to say, with the lack of things to hit/break and the heat and in the room, I was wanting to get out of there. Also, they sanitize the gear with spray, so 1) they have an unpleasant strong odor to them that will stick onto you till you shower and wash your clothes, and 2) if you are sensitive to such odors, it may give you a headache or other symptoms associated with high sensory sensitivity. That being said, I don't know how effective spraying these gear is against fighting germs. For all we know, they may be senselessly spraying ineffectively. For these reasons, I advise future guests to engage at your own discretion. read more

I love break room LA. I've always had a great experience here. My two start review is for the guy who was supposed to be helping us. Should've asked his name but he was young with dark curly hair. He was rude and unhelpful and charged me a fee without explaining to me what it was. It was my girlfriends first time and he didn't explain anything about the equipment we had to wear. He just stood there silently. Like at least pretend to care. It made the vibes pretty weird. I think he needs better training on customer service. read more

I've been dying to go to a rage room and I'm so happy I came across this one ! The staff member who helped us was super friendly great customer service. Cleanliness was great as well . My best friend and I purchased the 30 min package for the rage room , and it was awesome ! You can connect your phone and play your own music on the speaker and the room was a pretty good sized room! I wish there were kind of bigger items to smash , like vases and stuff but that isn't really too big of an issue, we had lots of glasses and plates to choose from ! We recently went for Valentines Day. They were very sanitary, wore their masks, and had a lot of wipes and hand sanitizer available. The two front desk people were really attentive. The woman helped us get into our gear and was super friendly! I would recommend going when they are barely opening for the best experience. We tried both the paint room and the break room. It was an incredible and fun experience! We blasted some Meg the Stallion on their Bluetooth speakers! Lol. Amazing!!!! You are able to buy extra things on the side to break too. This place is a scam. It doesn't look like much on the outside and you should not get your expectations up as it relates to the inside. My son and I paid $45 dollar a piece to go get our smash on. I was gifted a session at this place as a birthday gift. All videos of experiences here included different objects, computers, cars and such which you can let loose on. We showed up and put on our jumpsuits and face shields, we're taken into a room and we're told not to hit the speaker or anything on the ceiling. The room was basically empty aside from a barrel. We asked were the stuff was which we could smash and she pointed to a crate which was sitting against the wall. The crate had a few drinking glasses and a few glass bottles in it. I remarked that we could've done this for free in the alley down the street from our apartment. We asked about there being more stuff, was told that you can get more stuff to break as upgrades. We asked about upgrading and we're told we couldn't. The girl who was "helping us" couldn't have cared less about any of it. We broke the items in the crate and left. No one asked about our experience. Absolutely not worth it. Do not recommend. read more

We came to this place with a Groupon. The price was solid but you get what you pay for. Thought the axes could have been a little sharper. Plus, the wooden boards were well worn.
