Breadwinner Cafe was a nice stop for an easy lunch. The service here was quick and pleasant. It's counter service with some premade food, but they are helpful with picking things out, but still keep the line moving. The ambiance was great for an easy place to eat. They have a large single room seating area with good light and plenty of tables. The food was also really solid and I found it to be a pretty good deal for the price. None of the food was super amazing, except for one thing, but everything was just good and didn't disappoint. The amount of food was surprising and I definitely had leftovers with a big bowl of chili. Going back to what I mentioned was amazing, the chocolate chip cookie. I've had a lot of cookies in my lifetime but this one could be up in the top 3, it was delicious! I wish Breadwinner was closer so I could come by daily for this cookie, it's a must try if you visit. Overall, Breadwinner Cafe is just an easy place to get some food you know is going to be good for a decent price. If you're looking for a solid lunch option, stop by and don't forget to have a cookie.

Breadwinner Cafe is a WINNER in my book! I was going through a major soup and sandwich and PESTO PASTA SALAD phase... and Breadwinner is perfect for all of the above. I'd been to Sandy Springs location in the past and loved it - so Breadwinner is always on my radar for soupy season. It has become a habit of grabbing my soup salad and sandwich to go but they do have a large dining area, both indoors and on the covered patio. My favorite soup is their tomato basil bisque and my go-to "salad" is the pesto pasta salad (LOL at least it's green right). Ok jk I also like their lemon poppy kale salad. Definitely my go-to Dunwoody sandwich/soup/salad spot - so go and support local instead of hitting up a nearby chain of similar offerings...!

Beet and blue salad

Breadwinner is a winner! All the food is good here. Lots of healthy choices. My normal meal is the lunch special, which you can make with 3 items. The best 3 choices are: 1/2 sandwich, salad, and soup. Today I was not so hungry and got the full "beet and blue" salad (see pic) , which is greens topped with beets and blue cheese. Yummy. Small "grocery store" inside with items to go. Great friendly staff. You order and pick up at the counter. Indoor and outdoor dining. Outdoor is my preference. Lots of free parking too. Located on busy road, so be careful driving here. Slightly expensive but worth it. Eat here if you are in the neighborhood.

So fresh, so good! Get the trio lunch and you'll get a half sandwich, soup, and side. This is the best option on the menu! I really enjoy this place! The hardest thing is deciding what to order. And dessert...suggest the brownie!

We got lunch here on a Thursday because they were offering a free Trio (normal price $12.99) for teachers and hospital healthcare workers, which was such a nice gesture! We got our food to go. In Covid times, employees were wearing masks. But for customers, masks were only "encouraged," which is disappointing. There were spots on the floor for social distancing. Certain tables were also blocked off for social distancing. We both got Trios. I got Greek Salad (good), Fancy Grilled Cheese (less than average), and Tomato Basil Bisque (very good). My husband got Greek Salad, Turkey Reuben (less than average), and Parnsip Coconut Cream Soup (very good). Overall, we were pretty disappointed in the food. It was average at best. The soups were good, but everything else was just eh. If I was rating it based on the Trios alone, it would be 3 stars. The saving grace was the cookies. We got the Heath Bar Cookie and the Chocolate Chip Cookie ($2.50 each). The cookies were 5 stars. I would definitely go back just for those cookies. Everything else, I could do without.

Trio: Roast beef sandwich, chicken & rice soap, orzo pasta

This location has so much outdoor seating and very nice & open space. I love Breadwinner for there healthier, but still delicious options for food. There are so many delicious sandwich options, soup options, side and salads! They have a trio option, which is a combo of three of the items mentioned above. I love to eat here with coworkers since it's close to the office, great place to have a conversation, and great food.

Tilapia wrap

To be fair, I stopped by with high expectations because I heard about it and saw their menu and thought, "wow, a lot of that looks delicious." Maybe I just didn't get their best items, but...nothing impressed, and a lot disappointed. I got the lunch trio with the tilapia wrap, pesto pasta, and balsamic orzo and a peanut butter cookie and peach loaf. Peach loaf - for starters, this thing was *tiny*. $3 wouldn't be a bad price at all for a similar food item but at that size? I thought it must be very good to be that expensive...and this is one of the couple of items that actually was good, albeit not great. But it tasted like a good amaretto bread; the flavor of peach wasn't discernible at all. Peanut butter cookie - the Dead Sea called. It wants all its salt back. Pesto pasta - this was the other thing that was good. It was a weird level of good too because pesto is something that is usually either absolutely stunning or really bad. This pesto was better than okay, but not good enough to call great. Tilapia wrap - it had black pepper so I can't judge it fairly. Someone who doesn't hate black pepper might really enjoy it, I have no idea. However, from the few bites I did take the fish tasted way too fishy for tilapia? Which is odd, because tilapia is one of the cheapest fish. It's not like they'd substitute it to cut corners. Balsamic orzo - I could eat this after dumping so much parmesan cheese on top you could barely discern much other than the cheese...look, I know it is meant to be vinegar orzo. I like vinegar. I really do, otherwise I wouldn't have wanted this orzo. But this tastes more vinegary than actual pure vinegar, and I'm not sure how that was achieved. Overall, the people in the restaurant were nice enough, and everything looked very nice but...it was just a huge letdown on all fronts. I expected every single item I ordered to taste better than it did.

I just couldn't imagine this drink served hot. And wow... it was sooooo good!!! People who live nearby are so lucky to be able to visit whenever they want! We came across several great cafes during this trip, including Cafe Comma and this one easily made it onto our Atlanta must-visit list. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in town!

The parking garage made parking easy, and the service there was amazing, but everything else could have been improved. I got a pistachio latte but it was clearly used from an artificial pistachio syrup that gave it an odd taste instead of real pistachios. The seating was also awful. There aren't any options to get a spot with a back, so after working there for 2 hours, my back was starting to hurt. The music was also SO LOUD it was impossible to concentrate since I had to blast my own music to cover it up. I don't know how anyone could have a conversation here. Unfortunately I don't think I'll be back, and I'm still looking for a good coffee shop in the area.

I was super excited to finally get a REAL coffee shop in the neighborhood, especially since I have loved their Alpharetta location since 2020. Since then, I've been back a few times to meet friends for a cup of coffee or grab a bag of whole beans to go to make my own espresso at home! It's not the cheapest bag of beans but it's definitely freshly roasted and good quality! I love their seasonal bevs - I've tried their fall drinks like the Tokyo Drift (Applewood smoked cortado, orange blossom syrup, freshly grated nutmeg, orange peel) and the Spice is Right (Iced, spicy, creamy, coffee cocktail vibe with cold brew, hot honey syrup, vanilla bean and milk). You can easily sub out alternate milks, even on the seasonal specialty drinks. I appreciate the themes and play on the seasons. And also just simple but delicious drinks like the Nitro Lavender Vanilla Oat Latte. The seating can be a huge issue. I seem to always stumble in during peak, maybe? There seems to be plenty of space but no seating/tables. Many tables for 2 or 4 would be taken by 1-2 people studying/working all day, which is understandable but still frustrating. There is some outdoor seating (dog friendly, woohoo!) but is extremely vulnerable to the elements. Overall, I'm grateful for more local and noncommercial coffee shops in Dunwoody! Bring em on!!

Parking feels like it could get tricky on a busy day as there's only one small lot behind the building, but when I arrived there was plenty of parking spots left so definitely just depends on time of day. The little road leading down to the back lot is a bit rough, so just a heads up to take it slow (especially with a sedan or lower vehicle). We were welcomed immediately and had the chance to pick and choose our perfect spot so we could really get comfortable. Ended up in a booth and it was perfect, however, do note that outlets are limited if you need to charge your phone or laptop. As we grew hungry, we decided to indulge and I ended up ordering their signature BLT - it was fantastic! I also really appreciated that they give the option of turkey or pork bacon. Of course, I had to go extra crispy no matter what. I will certainly be back for more visits in the future!

If you know, you know. The pastries here are absolutely worth the detour--and honestly, wherever I see a Paris Baguette, I do pull over. That includes locations I've visited in Northern California, North Brunswick, New Jersey, Atlanta, Georgia, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and even the one here in Charlotte down in Pineville. It's a bit of a drive for me, but when I'm in that area, I always make a point to stop in and pick up a couple of their delicious croissant-donut pastries and marzipan or almond croissants. That's the beauty of this bakery--it's a chain, yes, but the consistency is what keeps me coming back. I have yet to be disappointed. Of course, I had to stop at this Hilton Head location--and I didn't come empty-handed. Food connects people, and bringing pastries to your host is always a winning move. I picked up three different varieties of their famous croissant-donut style pastries (similar to the well-known cronut): * Chocolate * Tiramisu * Mango And I added two large almond croissants that were beautifully filled, flaky, and indulgent. Everything looked fresh, full, and irresistible. The setup inside is easy and efficient. It's self-serve: you grab a tray, line it with parchment, use the tongs, and select whatever catches your eye--from baguettes to cakes to coffee drinks. Checkout was quick, Apple Pay was accepted, and the whole experience felt smooth and well organized. The space was clean, friendly, and inviting, with plenty of outdoor seating. Bottom line: Whenever you see a Paris Baguette on your radar, pull over. It's dependable, delicious, and perfect for picking up pastries to share--or to treat yourself.
