I came to this store already being familiar with its reputation of educating customers, a strong stance on nourishing food, and friendly customer service. I have since visited two or three times, and it has followed through on its reputation! Sue Becker is extremely well known in the flour milling scene, and even though it's a 45 minute drive for me, I feel lucky getting to be "so close" to her store. They have everything you need to start milling and then some. Many different grains are available, including oils and vinegars, salts and sucanat (a sugar alternative that's basically dehydrated honey). Cookbooks, cooking tools, a few snacky treats, loose leaf teas, and coffees and more are all available. Housed in a warehouse building, the interior isn't anything glamorous, and half of the building is separated from the store by a large curtain, portioning off a classroom area. The A+ staff is knowledgeable and friendly, even while starting busy, and has gone out of their way to help me with multiple things before (e.g. even kindly helping clean up after a sick child!). Saturdays are class days and get busy. They're small parking lot will get full, but being near the end of a side street, street parking is widely available. You might have to walk some yards, but you don't have any trouble even on the busy day. Online ordering and picking up or shipping is available if you prefer. Pricing is fair. They only stock organic of a particular item *IF* the organic is the same price or cheaper than the non-organic version. Otherwise, organic and non are often both available for the most popular grains. I really like how they portion out batch amounts for Ezekiel bread so you can just buy a bag of the 12(?) grains measured out for you instead of having to buy 12 separate small bags of grain. Thoughtful touches like this along with the many free printed hand outs with conversion sheets and guides show that Bread Beckers really cares about empowering people to mill their own grains. They'll walk you through every step. (If you come from far away and need a pit stop with your kiddos like I do, I recommend J.J. Biello Park nearby. They have a restroom, covered pavilion, and playground.) read more

Very fun place if you like baking and cooking! I love their variety of grains that they can grind for you so you're taking home extra fresh ingredients. They also have a very impressive collection of flavored oils/vinegars, as well as some interesting spices. They also sell everything in between, meaning machines such as grinders and mixers, accessories like teaspoons/tablespoons, and even honey by the bucket! I have heard that they have classes here, but also heard that some of them tend to be a bit pushy towards buying products, which I'm not a fan of. Also, everything here is on the pricier side, but I think of it as a one-stop shop for all your baking needs so you can shell out the bucks instead of having to Amazon or go to other stores to buy their products. Also, you can't beat the freshness of literally freshly ground wheats. The employees are also all very friendly. Everyone who bakes/cooks should check this place out at least once! read more

What a neat business. If you bake they have all of the grains to make flour. They have flour mills for sale, fresh olive oil, and neat pots and pans for sale. My girlfriend grinds her own flour to bake her own bread. After I ate some of her bread, I realized that I need this healthy alternative to highly processed store-bought bread. We live in the mountains about an hour and a half away from Bread Beckers. Because I had to drop another girlfriend at Hartsfield -Jackson Airport in Atlanta, I was eager to stop at Bread Beckers on the way home. I told my girlfriend, that if she would like me to pick anything up for her, I was happy to help. She ordered three large buckets of different varieties of grain. She called her other friend. This friend ordered a couple buckets of grain too. I was so very impressed with the employees at Bread Beckers. As this was my first visit, I was totally ignorant. However, all my questions were eagerly answered. As it was a week day and there was only one or two others in the store, I was given undivided attention. When checking out, I called my girlfriends. Because these women are in Bread Beckers system, they were allowed to give their credit cards over the phone! On a side note, because of a back injury, when lifting, I have to be careful. I did not have to lift a thing. All the grain berry buckets were found for me and lifted into the back of my car. Another nice surprise is the sweet "oil and vinegar tasting section" I got some amazing jalapeño lime vinegar. (It's a tad pricey, but so wholesome.) I can't wait to use it. I'm learning more about how to change certain eating habits. . Ancient organic non-GMO, grains are a good start to this path. Dare I say that since I've been eating whole ancient grain homemade sourdough bread, I've actually LOST weight. Let our food be our medicine . Lastly, located in an industrial complex, the store is a bit tricky to locate; but well worth the time to find. Also, this is not a chain. They typically close at 4:00. What an incredible flour milling and baking demonstration experience! I signed up for Just The Basics class and the presenter, Sue Becker made the process of grain milling delightful and easy to understand. I went into this thinking that this was probably going to be a difficult class for myself to grasp because I am not a baker. It was the exact opposite. Sue did an amazing job describing and conveying the process of home flour milling and how using fresh ingredients is very good for your body. At this demonstration, we were given a package that included all the recipes and an area for note taking and the best part, samples that were made during the class that included wholesome and delicious bread, cinnamon rolls, muffins and cookies. After the class, I was able to purchase the grain and all of the items used during the class to do my own grain milling at home. I can't wait to feed my family these quick, and easy breads, cinnamon rolls and cookies. I stayed in the retail store for hours just looking at all the fun and interesting products. Bread Beckers even has a huge selection of oils and vinegars to take home. The staff was very helpful when making my final selections and had very insightful product knowledge. You are missing out if you don't take one of these classes. I know I will be taking more demonstration classes in the future. Also, you can find Sue Becker's book The Essential Home-Ground Flour book on Amazon and in the Bread Beckers retail store. It's a great resource but I would suggest to attend a demonstration class to see the Master herself, Sue Becker, create the art in front of your eyes. Wow. Everything you need to make your own bread, even mill your own wheat. They have an on site kitchen with large dining area and offer classes so you can learn how to mill and make your own bread. They also offer classes on dehydration, etc. They have ladies night out. Next one in May is a Mexican Fiesta. Can't wait to go! Try the granulated honey in place of sugar. So good! read more

I have recently purchased a WonderMill (grain mill) from BreadBeckers. It arrived as scheduled, but the canister had stains on the inside that I could not remove. I called BreadBeckers customer support and sent photos. They said they would either replace the canister or the whole mill, my choice. I opted for just the canister. They then contacted the manufacturer because it is much closer to where I live. The manufacturer contacted me immediately and they are shipping a new canister today. It is great to see such customer service - professional, polite and timely. They did the right thing in this case and I am a grateful customer with a long memory! read more
