    Fresh Tomato Pizza

Unexpected and delightful spot away from the hustle and bustle of Northampton. I had one of the best lattes of my life and an amazing almond croissant. My daughter ordered the fresh tomato pizza and it was great also.

Wonderful bread, good sandwiches, good pastries, very poor crowd control, difficult lines and hard to understand flow of traffic.

So much good here: Amazing pie, kind staff, cutest vibes, and lots of outdoor seating and a fair amount of indoor seating. I stopped in the Saturday before Easter and they were a little low on baked goods (no actually pie left sadly) but I still snagged myself one of the custard key lime pie bites. It was SO good. I would get it again in a heartbeat. Perfect coconut crust, amazing custard. It was delicious. We also grabbed a few iced coffees that hit the spot. Worth a visit if you have a sweet tooth or even a hankering for a coffee.

The place is so cozy. You walk through a curtain and head over to the counter and display case. The menu and prices are on the board above. Well thought aesthetics, it's small but it works. I had the buffalo chicken hand pie. It was warmed and I'm glad I got two. I got the brown sugar chocolate chip cookie and the cookie of the month. It was lemon flavored and simply divine. The allure of Florence is everything is mostly unique and cozy. Florence Pie Bar checked both boxes.

This means, that the coffee you get here is going to be Catalpa roasted beans, but with a higher selection of "fancy" pastries. (The apricot croissant I had was very very delicious. ) I do not love Catalpa espresso as much as Shelburne Falls coffee, because it has a very sweet taste with a bitter finish, I prefer something that is more of an earthy or mellow light roast. Just smelling the ground coffee makes you think of something flowery and sharp. They have limited breakfast sandwiches and a few drink specials that remind me of what they have over at Catalpa . Unfortunately, because all three stores are linked, that means none of them have soy milk anymore, which is my go to espresso add-in. It is even still on the sign at the counter. The staff is friendly, and it's at a nice spot near where Shelburne Falls used to be. Their main advertisement is their croissant, so four stars for having a super delicious croissant. For not having any seating, and advertising soy milk and having any, one star deduction.

Got an almond croissant and it was very dark on the bottom - so disappointed. Cookies were good but expensive. They used to have such a variety of pastries and other baked goods. Now, it is hit or miss. Whomever is baking the croissants needs some training. Got a spinach feta croissant which used to be a favorite of ours, but was almost black on the bottom/inedible. Looked ok in the case. So sad this bakery no longer lives up to the standards it set in the past.

"It's still too hot, gotta wait a few minutes." One of them said. It felt as if I were in my mom's kitchen, and I couldn't wait to see what was this baked good that we had to wait a few minutes for as the smell encapsulated the whole bakery. Everything here without a doubt is made fresh, and this was the proof in case there was any question. On this visit, we tried one of their baguettes to have alongside a kale and potato with cheese soup I made. Always a must is also their gluten free chocolate bundt cake, we ended up getting two slices, it's just too good!!! They also had freshly made pistachio macaroons as well as blueberry, we got one of each. both were amazing, but my favorite was the pistachio. I would be remiss to not mention that their coffee is amazing. Even just the cafe au lait, their coffee is really good. Just as we were paying, one of the girls brought out the baked goods to the front, baked crumble muffins. You could still see the hot butter bubbling at the top; absolute heaven! This little bakery is one of the reasons we come into Stockbridge, especially on a nice day; an absolute gem.

The owner is talented and personable. The overall vibe is adorable and welcoming. The food is amazing and comforting. What more can you ask for? Some of our favorites are the chocolate chip cookies, ANYTHING chocolate cake (the bundt or any chocolate cupcake), and the roasted red pepper sandwich on their homemade baguette. The coffee and espresso drinks are also great. But everything we have tried? Has been so good! You truly can't go wrong. There's usually a wait, but I hope this review makes it abundantly clear it's worth it!
