I have had some food here that I liked but the last two times I've been here it's been an awful experience. Today I ordered a Caesar salad with chicken. When I went to pick it up the guy informed me there were no croutons. Too bad because they make good bread. I said could I just have a piece of bread instead. He gave me one. The "salad" was just a bunch of chopped up iceberg lettuce with some dried out grated Parmesan cheese. Not shaved, just like it came out of a jar or something. The dressing wasn't bad but it wasn't Caesar. They forgot the chicken. I went back for it and the guy just took a lump of plastic wrapped chicken and practically threw it on my salad, as if it was my fault for asking for something that I had ordered and paid for. Honestly it was a disgusting salad, with disgusting chicken. Oh and for the record, that piece of bread he gave me was stale. Isn't this a bakery?? I might've given them another chance except last time I went there and I ate inside, the telephone rang for the entire time I was there. I was staying in an Airbnb in the area and came here for breakfast. What a fantastic way to start the day! I bought their pheasant sourdough bread and had the egg, cheese, and sausage on the Pesto cheese roll. Holy smokes. The bread is wonderful and makes for a great grilled cheese. The breakfast sandwich was amazing! I was definitely full until my late lunch/early dinner. I would highly recommend taking a pit stop here for any meal and I promise you won't be disappointed. Amazing place. Great vibes inside and outside. I love the food although I mostly get bread from here. I make the effort to drive 40 minutes out of my way to buy their bread. I am slightly gluten intolerant and feel very heavy and sluggish after eating mass produced bread. Eating bread from here doesn't give me any discomfort. I can eat half the loaf and feel fine. I think it has something to do with the yeast they use. A more vibrant yeast will break down the gluten better. If you tend to feel sick after eating gluten give Bread Euphoria a try, you might start enjoying bread again. read more

I really love Bread Euphoria. Although their cafe is great, I want to mention something that not as many other reviews have touched upon. Their bread itself is so wonderful, based on sourdough, and really worth it. It is not super-sour and has lots of flavor, toothsome, and has enough give that you enjoy biting into it, without it being at all tough. Their sandwich-sized loaves really work nicely for all kinds of sandwiches. They were super-friendly, nice about placing special orders, and always get everything right. (By contrast, the chain, Panera, screwed-up 3 consecutive orders of ours in a row. Bread Euphoria listens, cares, and gets it right.) I have also seen Bread Euphoria breads at area stores including River Valley Market Co-op Market in Northampton, MA. I understand they are class-acts, and donate to area food-pantry type charities, too. Nice! read more

I've tried lots of things at Bread Euphoria but, ironically, not bread!. They have a decent selection though, several varieties offered every day, and and others that change by the day. While I haven't eaten any, they do smell yummy if I go in while they are baking. Someday perhaps. I guess I have tried the bread in a way though. I have had their pizza several times which is of course mostly bread. They have most of the expected standard varieties, and also a relatively small assortment of "premium" toppings. But I come for something pretty unique: Potatoes and Kielbasa. It's thin-sliced fried potatoes, roasted garlic (lots of it, generously caramelized to a golden brown jammyness), roasted red peppers, goat cheese, pesto and thin-sliced kielbasa. If you've never had potatoes on pizza before this will surprise you. And the crust, while not exactly deep-dish style, is sturdy enough to stand up to the generous quantity of toppings. It really works, especially in this combination. Quite extraordinary! Other times I come for coffee and a pastry. I highly recommend the croissants (chocolate, almond, or chocolate+almond). The height of croissant artistry: buttery layered dough that flakes easily and is neither dry nor greasy, with just the right amount of dark chocolate that neither overwhelms the dough nor gets lost in it. The almond is excellent too but if you can't decide, get the chocolate+almond! Excellent but slightly too large. Most of their pastry items have this issue. If you're calorie-conscious, take my advice: cut it in half as soon as you get it and save some for later. I've also tried various scones (corn/cherry, currant, lemon/ginger), lemon squares, maple-walnut bars, and others. Never disappointed. But it's more than just a coffeehouse. They are also open evenings and serve beer and wine. Food options include not just the pizza I've described, but sandwiches, excellent quiches, salads, soups, and more. And music on Saturday nights (folk, acoustic, "singer-songwriters", etc.). I've never been to these events, but if I didn't live 90 miles away I expect I'd be a frequent visitor. My only complaint? It might sound silly but It doesn't quite have that "funky vibe" I'd expect for this type of establishment. I mean from the staff yes, but the decor: no. It's setup more like a traditional restaurant, with standard tables and chairs; none of the mismatched furniture and tattered couches that would provide the missing comfortable homeyness. I'm so happy I decided to check it out. I ordered an almond croissant and a chai tea latte, they were both delicious I was really hoping for the almost croissant to be the kind with the yummy almond filling and I was not disappointed! Our pizza was split: Fresh grape tomatoes on half and ham and sautéed onions on the other half. Never split up a pizza. It's a total waste of money. Especially here. The crust was excellent. I'd say that I have not had better crust in the Pioneer Valley. The ingredients seemed very fresh and of high quality. I especially liked the small grape tomatoes. I was not impressed with the quantity of ham. The ham merely imparted subtle flavor enhancement to this pizza. It was like spice from a bottle. So, I would leave off the dots of ham in the future. There were a generous portion of sautéed onions. Maybe sausage would've been a better choice to go along with the sautéed onions. Bottom line: I will return at some point(after I make enough $$) and I would tweak my order. I would order a sausage and onion and drop the tomato-basil. The latter was good, but not quite worthy of $22 and some change. I would probably give 3.5 stars on the rating vs 4 due to the cost factor here. The place is kind of eclectic with a good beatnik kind of vibe. They seem to have a large original selection of breads and oven type pastries. Every time I have been there over the last seven years, or so, I have had a good product. The only disappointment for me is the Friday Challah Bread. I understand some like their challah rather lean. However, I grew up eating challah that was rich and eggy. Pastries are, especially the croissants with familiar and imaginative fillings (mine was stuffed with wild mushrooms and local goat cheese). You can get a cup of coffee and linger with your laptop at the big long tables as many locals do. If you're still here at lunchtime, try the giant slices of pizza. As to the breads, they're mostly sandwich style loaves which you'll see behind the register. They'll slice it if you ask. I purchased the olive which was pleasant though not particularly olive-y. By the way, this establishment is in the front of a large building which has housed a pottery studio for many years. Sadly, the weekend I was there (December 2015) was the potter's last weekend before retiring. I wish him well and it will be interesting to see what moves into the space because it will certainly affect the character of the cafe. read more

I decided on the hummus sandwich on sesame bread and a morning bun...WOW! The morning bun was sweet, flaky, and buttery. My husband and I moved to W. MA a year ago from Boston. When we heard that this place had vegan options, we thought we'd give it a try. We called ahead and ordered one of the pizza's on their menu and asked for it vegan. Not just with vegan cheese; specifically vegan. When we arrive, we're told that they put pesto on the pizza, which has parmesan in it. Do you want us to remake it? We had it remade. I spoke to the manager because I thought it was important to share with them, in person, what our experience was as opposed to just writing something online. I shared the information I wrote above and also thought it was unfortunate that they didn't even offer a discount to us due to an error on their part. This establishment decided it was going to offer vegan options. We didn't come here out of the blue and ask for something that's not available on the menu to be made. If you don't want to accommodate vegan clientele, DON'T OFFER VEGAN OPTIONS. The reason I'm writing a review and putting it online is because while we were waiting for our pizza, I was side-eyed by the other person that was at the counter. Once we got the pizza, which was overly cheezed, I looked up and was being watched by two other employees. They saw me catch them staring at me while I was removing the excess cheeze. They then moved and stayed out of my line of sight; something you do when you know you've been caught. If you're gonna bitch about a customer because you messed up their order, wait until they leave and can't see you. Go in the hallway behind the kitchen to bitch about the people you don't like. Place took forever and a large disappointment at menu offerings. They mention on their website "We take pizza orders up to 15 mins before closing" we got there an hour before closing and were told "we're done taking pizza orders". We went here specifically because they offered vegan pizza options. So then we ordered some sandwiches and it took 40 MINS for them to make 2 sandwiches. Absolutely insane. Been here 6-7 times to listen to live music and enjoy their stellar food offerings. They added table service on the Sat eve we were there last. The server was amazing, we gave her a 20+% tip.
