If you're looking for authentic Taiwanese lunch and delicious sandwiches, this is a great place to stop by! The owners are super friendly and caring and speak Chinese. My beef braised meat and rice bento had white pepper on everything, which is common in Taiwanese dishes. If it wasn't so far away from where I live, I may go there more often!

Amazing little spot! Don't be deceived by the exterior - they offer more than bread and sweets on the inside! I ordered a Taiwanese bento with a fried pork chop from the nice lady at the counter. The pork was soft and delicious with a freshly fried, crispy exterior that tasted lightly of five spice and was served over a bed of braised minced pork, rice and yellow sweet pickles! Our sides were broccoli and a braised mix of tofu, pork and pickled greens. Everything was delicious and it even came with a cup of ice cold fruit tea (I picked green tea with peach - delicious and sweet!) - all for 15.99! That's a steal considering how much food you get AND a good drink. Everyone should swing by and support this charming lil' place!

I often order their Pork Chop Sandwich Bento and Pork Chop with Braised Pork Rice Bento. The pork chop sandwich is tasty and feels healthy, especially with the sweet potato fries on the side. The pork chop rice has a nice balance of meat and veggies, not greasy at all, and pairing it with the sweet fruit tea makes it even better.

Came by an hour before closing and there was still a decent amount of stuff to choose from! Loved their Taiwanese sandwiches - great snack and affordable. Soft fluffy milk bread. Their black sesame bun and taro pork floss bun were also good but wished the bread was softer. No seating inside, just a grab and go place. Girl at counter was really kind.

Great sandwiches and love the fruit teas since they have so much authentic tea taste and flavor. Tried the chicken nuggets as well, very good. I would like to come back to try their bread

A simple bakery with Taiwanese influence. They offered baked bread products a long with hot plate dishes. The egg sandwich was really good as well as the Taiwanese chicken nuggets. Looking forward to trying more on my next visit.

Bread Connection is a newly established Taiwanese Cafe with a lot of drinks, pastries and taiwanese snacks! Service was super friendly, I came in around 8:45 PM (they close at 9 PM) and they still welcomed my party of 2 with a smile! The place is super clean, very bright and there were a lot of bread options. Overall I'd recommend anyone who is stopping by Duluth to check this establishment out. It is ran by really kind people and the food and service is phenomenal.

The sandwich was so good. The fruit was fresh and the sandwich was so good and light. The owner is so sweet. We came one day and they were sold out she gave us her business card and told us to call before we came back so she could put them aside for us. She was so sweet! If you are ever In the area I would recommend. Also runs great deals.

What a hidden gem in Duluth. Truly a hole in the wall. Fresh baked goods, sandwiches, boba tea, chicken nuggets. They got them all. The fruit sandwich i got reminded me of the ones you get in Japan. Delicious, light and fluffy. The taiwanese nuggets were perfect. Highly recommend to go check them out. Decent prices. Friendly owner. Seems like a family owned business. Go check them out.

I have been wanting to stop by here for Chinese style bakery. It is located behind the BP off PIB in the same shopping center as dollar tree. There's plenty of parking and was easy to locate. The inside is bright and clean. There was lots of variety and everything looks fresh! I decided on pull apart sesame bread and butter buns. They also have bento boxes you can order and custom cakes too! I toasted the breads before eating (suggested by the owner) and they were so delicious. The butter bun was soft and fragrant and the sesame toast was swirled with lots of black sesame paste. It was subtly sweet and just the way I like them. The owner was so friendly and answered all my questions about custom cakes. I can't wait to come back and try their other items.

This is a tiny little hidden bakery that I will definitely be coming back to. They didn't have many options left since it was close to closing time, and I didn't want to make them cook anything fresh that late. I got a ham and cheese bun - it was great! Salty ham, creamy cheese, and a light fluffy bun. Plus it was super affordable. Going to try more here!

Such a joyful experience here today! My husband and I planned to head to the park with our kids and wanted to pick up sandwiches for a picnic. I placed an order on the website to pick up at 10:15 (the earliest available time). The online ordering process was simple, although there are a lot of categories to wade through--if you know what you want, you'll have no problem. Keep in mind there aren't any descriptions of the items, so knowing what you'd like is key (if you aren't sure or have questions, I'd recommend ordering in the store as they are so very helpful). The ordering system places your order but you pay at the register when you arrive. On first impression, the store was clean, modern, well-lit and beautifully furnished. I loved the seating area which has bench seating (great for kiddos) and leather chairs that were incredibly comfortable. When we arrived the cashier said our sandwiches were in the process of being made, but she offered me coffee on the house while we waited! Such good service. Keep in mind, they make your food to order for the highest quality product, so if you're in a hurry you might want to place an online order or give them a call. The best thing was, they didn't mind that our kids were a little energetic, and interacted with them happily--it made us feel very welcome. We waited about 15 minutes after arrival, and the weather turned to rain by then, so we decided to forego the picnic and eat there. Great music (it was Ghibli piano songs while we were there), comfortable seating, and the food was delicious! The sandwich bread is a fluffy but dense milk bread that is surprisingly filling, and the pork Katsu and chicken Katsu were still crunchy and warm. The eggs were perfectly cooked, and I enjoyed the addition of cucumber to the sandwiches. The sandwiches have a subtle flavor, so if you're looking for something spicy or intense, I'd say to try elsewhere. The star though, was the fruit sandwich. Really incredible! The tangerine tasted like a creamsicle with the cream cheese/whipped cream, it was all I could think about that afternoon. I see why this sells out--if you'd like to try one, get there early! The owner was so welcoming and explained that these fruit sandwiches take a lot of time to prepare. I felt the care and pride in each of the sandwiches we had today, along with the lovely service. That will keep us coming back, again and again!

This is my second time coming. But I'm always greeted and I made sure I came before rush hour this time. They have a little more selection this time. I love the food! But star goes to they fruit sandwich's & Ham sandwiches "in my opinion"They bread are good & soft as always. You can tell they time to make they bread & dishes. I do recommend coming & trying them out. Very quit & clean establishment. Keeps me full whenever I choose certain things of they menu.

Chinese food is based on the region the dish originated in China and not some nod to some general who never even had chicken... Ping's Place is the second stall when you walk in on the left. There isn't anything really much in terms of service. You walk up, locate the meal you want, drop you money, and they'll call you when your order is ready and you go and grab it. It's cafeteria style much like any food court. The ambiance isn't really anything to write home about either. it's a food court or more or less, a food strip with five different food stalls tucked on the left side of The Great Wall supermarket. So let's talk food. I've been hunting for a good Chinese beef noodle soup. Needless to say, Ping's isn't that bad. The soup itself was a bit bland but there was a richness to it that I found delightful. The noodles were al dente. The meat, tender as tender can be. It did have an odd irony smell to it but I did put white pepper, chili oil, and Chinese black vinegar into it so that might be something that gave it that weird iron smell but more or less, it was decent. Probably not the best beef noodle soup but better than some of the other joints I've had that claimed to carry Chinese beef noodle soup. I do recommend you check it out if you're already with sitting in the middle of a bustling Chinese supermarket.

I ordered 2 dishes to go (Mama's Chicken, and Bamboo + Pork) for my parents and me. I come to pick up the foods at the counter and behold, they give me 2 tiny boxes of white steam rice. No problem, so I asked for extra white rice. The front counter guy said it's an extra $1. I am like sure, he was then no, it's $2 extra. I was like, can you give me a bigger container than the tiny one you got. He said same tiny container. I was like can I just a one big one for $2. He said No, $2 for each tiny container. I was like seriously? I just spent $35 with them and I can't even get enough rice for me and my parents. Never in my years, have I ever had an issue about getting extra rice for any restaurant. This has got to be the cheapest restaurant in the world. I finally told the guy, don't worry about it. I didn't want to pay $4 extra for tiny containers or rice. They lost a long time customer for a such little dollars. Its the principle and they provided horrible customer service. I will not be coming back and I highly suggest in not giving these people any business especially on how cheap they are. I provided a photo of the rice containers that come with each entree. Nothing sucks more than having entrees and not enough rice to eat it with. Their entrees lack portions as their portions have gotten alot smaller as well.

It wasn't busy for a Sunday lunch but it's in a very tucked away location on Lakefield Drive. We ordered the beef noodle soup, gravy noodles, potstickers, XLB, and egg tarts. While presentation was great everything fell short except for the XLB and egg tarts. I do like that there is an option for a small portion of noodles - great if you want room to try other dishes. Noodles themselves were nice and chewy but the flavor and thickness of the broths felt like I was eating ramen instead of Chinese or Taiwanese noodle soups. Meats were tender. The gravy noodles had fish, pork, and duck in it and had too many mixes of flavors for us. The potstickers were large but too oily and didn't have much flavor inside. XLB were standard - I thought they were fine but could have used some more soup. Egg tarts were also flaky and good as expected. The waitress said be careful as they were hot from the oven but I couldn't wait since I love dessert. It was cold in the center lol. Otherwise flavor was great. Def have mixed feelings about this spot. Try it for yourself and see what you think.

They even had a manned cash bar that made pretty good drinks at very fair prices! All in all the event was really nice. I was completely impressed. Now the guy who headed this up, Joe, and the rest of us did some work to get things set up and decorated but honestly the owner was there helping too! Seriously.. kudos... this was a great time!
