Location is small, few seats. Nothing special with the location. Seems like the place is meant to be a grill sandwich shop, but they also serve Indian food. For this trip, I'm exploring Cheesesteaks in the area since I just moved in. Compared to Weeyums, Philly D, and uncle Phil's I would say this is nowhere near as good as those. It scratches an itch, but the bread is wrong. It was too small and barely held together. It was good, but if you're looking for a spectacular Philly, I wasn't getting it. Might be worth trying the Desi Cheese steak since it's different. Seems like that might be my next try. Just need better bread. Onion rings were also just prepackaged. Nothing to write home about. Everything was cooked fresh to order, the gentleman was very nice and hospitable while we waited at one of the dine in tables. He asked us prior to starting our entrees what level of heat we desired which was extremely considerate. Butter Chicken- amazing bursts of flavor in the most creamy, buttery sauce, and tender bites of chicken. I thoroughly enjoyed dipping my naan in this sauce to make sure I got it all. If you drive too fast down Pleasant Hill, and give a quick blink, you will miss the place. Small hole in the wall, but quite a gem. Interesting combination of American and Indian food options. I had the philly works with fries. Bread is very soft. Well seasoned. Cheesy and meaty. Good portion. Probably one of the best philly cheesesteaks I had in quite a bit. Heard some great reviews about their Indian food. I'm very excited to come back and try next time. When it comes to the interior this place, small, quaint, and clean. Loved the fact that the owner made everything cooked to order. But I think the issue with the one-man operation is that it's really hard to make curries fast. We waited 4 minutes but ordered 4 curries to go and when we opened it, they were the consistency of broth. I'm guessing it's because they weren't given the time to reduce and I speculate, to make up for the watery consistency, two of them were oversalted. When I visited there was one guy working there. Granted, he wore no mask and didn't wear gloves, but I could tell he knew his way around the kitchen. I was craving a Philly cheesesteak and it seemed close to authentic (with only cheese and onions, of course). I watched him cook it and he kept putting more and more of this mystery powder on it while cooking. Then a little later he put more and more on it. When I ate it, it was a peppery, smoky, curry flavor that was obviously his Indian infused style for the cheesesteak. It actually looked very shriveled when I unwrapped it at home, but I guess you can't blame bread and steam. All in all, it was good, but I probably wouldn't get it again. I'd rather try his Indian food. So I asked what he recommended and we went with the Goat Curry. Naan is extra ($2 a piece) but I got 2 garlic naan anyway. The Goat Curry is overpowering. When microwaved the whole house smells, for quite some time. I enjoyed it, but it turns out the portion size is massive. It took me 3 meals to take it down, so each time my wife was complaining about the strong smell in the whole house. So I decided next time I'm gonna try the tandoori chicken or tikka masala - a bit more mainstream and less to overload our house. Good Lord this was the best Indian food I've ever had in my 32 years of life. And my family and I eat a lot of Indian food! It's honestly some of the best food in general I've ever had! We just moved close by and ordered Saag paneer, tikka masala, tandoor chicken and the fried fish dish for our first take out order and holy goodness it was all immaculate! This place is a must try if you are in Johns creek or Duluth area. I talked with the owner today and he's going to start selling beer with food. I know where I'm going on Saturday night for dinner now. Also every order is fresh made. So he starts cooking your biriyani when the order is place so it takes a while for your order to be ready. I had driven past this little hole in the wall gem for many years before finally giving it a shot. And, WOW, am I happy I did. Initially it was just the cheesesteaks I ordered because they are true perfection; it is hard to get anything other. Then we got cheeseburgers and wings (do NOT forget fries & onion rings)...and were so impressed! The wings are the best around. Well tonight I finally gave the Indian menu a try. The butter chicken, done spicy, no rice add naan is absolutely amazing! The flavors all explode into what is, to date, my favorite Indian dish I have ever eaten.
