This Aperol slushi was the best drink I had during my weekend trip to Galena!
Ritter R.

The service was great, though they were super busy, our server was as attentive as could be. The food was outstanding! Every bite we had was delicious. The vibe is friendly and simple. The seating is pretty cramped, so not good if you get anxious. The ac wasn't working this day, so we were kind hot, but it was doable.

Excellent food and great service. My husband had the Waygu Hamburger and I had the quinoa salad with salmon. Excellent meal. The best fast casual restaurant in Galena! Very European in nature

This restaurant has a great menu full of fresh choices that you won't find in Galena. I loved the bistro vibe and the service was fantastic. If you don't want anything heavy like pizza or bar food while in Galena, I highly recommend this place. We were so full we didn't get dessert but it all looked amazing.

Potato Bacon Pinsa

I really enjoyed my late lunch of appetizers. There were 5 of us and we decided to split 3 appetizers and that was enough for all of us. We started with mini sliders. They were so delicious. The meat was tender and the grilled onion and tomato were the perfect toppings. The burgers were well seasoned and juicy. The next appetizer was a Cuban croquette. These were not our favorite but they were crunchy and interesting, just not for us. The last item we got was a flat bread pizza with bacon and fingerling potatoes. It also came with a chili oil that you could add if you wanted. The bread was really good and the bacon potato combination was a unique flavor combo I would never have thought of. It was very good. The chili oil was very spicy but a nice accent to the pizza. bread & Vine is an adorable little restaurant with a lot to offer. They have sandwiches and desserts available to go or to enjoy in the restaurant, along with a menu of items to enjoy hot at the 12 or so tables. They also have a wide selection of macarons which are also delicious.

We came here for lunch on a girl's trip and really enjoyed it. We kept seeing info about trying the creme de violet cocktail, so had to give that one a go. I ordered the frozen aperol spritz but was given a frose, which was also on the menu. The same thing happened to one of the gals in my group. It was packed inside and I'm not sure the waitress heard me say frozen Aperol spritz, so she just brought a frozen drink. It was a lovely drink, so I didn't ask for a replacement. I ordered the steak sandwich, which was really good with Brie and pesto! I wish the steak was better, it was very overcooked and tough but a nice sandwich nonetheless. Everyone in my group enjoyed their meals. My friend and I ordered the creme de violet cocktail, and it was okay, but I wouldn't order it again. Overall, a nice experience and tasty food!

Wagyu burger and fries

Ate here on a Saturday night. We walked right in and sat at a table near the bar. It's a cute place very reminiscent of a french bistro with pastry case up front. Loch was our server and he was excellent- made the most perfect whiskey old Fashioned. Our best during our stay in Galena. He recommended the pizza and the wagyu burger and fries. The four of us split the pizza and two burgers. We had the goat cheese and honey flatbread - it was a crispy crust and the toppings were plentiful. It was a good appetizer for us. We were glad we split the burger it was a good size and delicious as well as the fries. Loch was an excellent server and made our evening perfect. Would live to come back here for breakfast next time.

A group of us girls went to the new Bread & Vine today. Great ambiance, great food, fantastic beignets and amazing service. Grace greeted us warmly and provided a delightful culinary experience! If you haven't tried it please do!! A fun destination on 3rd street.

Croque Monsieur

All of the stars. I popped in while waiting for a friend. I wasn't too hungry but the front window looked delicious so I thought I'd grab a bite. The croque monsieur was unbelievable--probably the best sandwich I've ever had. I wish I grabbed some desserts for the road. The drinks brought to the next table looked amazing.

Favorite cocktails in town! Dave has a great attitude and had it not been for him stepping out as we were looking at their menu I don't think we would have tried this wonderful place out! Delicious treats and desserts! OMG the delicious smells! They had a great selection of cocktails as well and we were able to relax and enjoy the afternoon!

Sorry, I started eating right away- then thought ' this deserves a great review!'

Thank you Yelp for helping us find this restaurant! With so many places to choose from Yelp made it easy to find and it was amazing for two tired tourists. My husband had the specials today- a watermelon salad and lobster Mac n cheese. I had the goat cheese and pear salad with poutine. We were both so happy with our food and have enough for later tonight. I wish I had room for dessert. We will be back for sure.

Well it's been a long time since I've been to Galena and this is a good restaurant I took my mom…read morehere in 2018 before covid and stuff. I do love their pastas I did take also my mom's friends but they stayed so short in Galena for a two and a half hour drive. Anyways this is memorial Day and I don't have family anymore and I decided to go to Galena Illinois it's very quaint and feels like Gettysburg this restaurant that I went to I really love their Italian food was very busy regards to the ambience but I like how there's different floors and it has that old civil war 1860s feel. Other than that do come here again and try to explore Galena and all the other antique shops and one of a kind small shops for specialties

In a town that is catering to tourists, I get the appeal of this place. You walk up one of the…read morehills to enter through the "deli" area and are seated in one of many various rooms of what appears to be a house. Children are welcome and there is a limited menu for them as well. But, when you are paying these prices, you expect a little bit more than what VV's has to offer. First, the toasted ravioli's are clearly mass-produced and just heated at the restaurant. Then, people must love the idea of salad and garlic bread (like the OG), but this is not a great offering. The bread is like that you would get at a pizza place with your order of pasta and the salad is literally swamped in onions and dressing. The pasta is house made, and fine, but that was about all that was okay. The veal marsala is just odd. The sauce is the consistency of a thick, brown gravy and it just serves to disguise the over-cooked meat. At over $100 for one adult and two kids, you'd be better-off elsewhere. Extra star for the wonderful service from Gracie.
