Making an appointment is impossible because speaking with a person that knows what they are doing is impossible. Phone system puts you through a constant run around; until it hangs up on you after you have waited well over 30 minutes. Doctor's don't return messages, or send refill orders in promptly. I have had to have Walgreens fill emergency prescription due to this. The customer service here is non-existent. Scheduled appointments are never on time, my last appointment I ended up leaving after waiting 48 minutes past my scheduled time. Patients with appointment times after mine were seen before me. It is very clear now why so many doctor's have left this location. I will definitely be looking for a new doctor's office!

One office visit for a routine annual check up resulted in being charged for 2 visits. It was explained to us that the annual physical didn't require a co-pay but because my husband and the Dr. discussed other medical concerns we were charged an additional office visit that did require a co-pay. Really! I guess when we see the Dr. don't discuss your COMPLETE medical care or you will be charged for an additional visit. He was only there one time that day not twice. We didn't get a bill for the additional co-pay until 8 months after the visit. It's sad when a patient can't talk to their Doctor about all of their health care needs. Keep it to ONE topic.

The Urgent Care on Edgerton was open until 8:00 PM, and we rushed over. The facility was clean and professional. My wait was negligible. A nurse took my vitals and politely asked me to wait for a physician. Dr. Chaudhry spoke to me with understanding and expertise. His bed side manner was reassuring. The EKG was normal and multiple blood pressure readings were taken. Fortunately, my Systolic pressure dropped from 190/101 to 160/82. Dr. Chaudhry continued to monitor my progress and finally sent me home. I felt 100% better. This is the only Urgent Care to use if you live south of Shorewood.

Then after your visit, If your insurance doesn't cough up their share with adequate alacrity, or if you wait a couple of weeks to pay your share, you'll be sold to a collection agency faster than falcon diving on prey.

The 1 star review: I happened to be…read morein the waiting room/reception area that day and I saw it all and heard every word from start to finish, and this woman's account is not even close to what happened!! Read on for more. I have been seeing Dr Nikki Allen as my primary care provider for a few years. On a couple of occasions Dr Nikki has been booked up when I needed an appointment so I've seen Dr Tim Allen. Although, he's primary an Addiction Specialist, he also serves as a General Practitioner. These two people are not only excellent, professional, caring doctors, who go way above and beyond for their patients, but they also serve and give so much of themselves in their community, especially to those in need, in a real, sincere, tangible way! I happened to be looking up the link to their website for a new friend who is looking for a new doctor (as I've referred others who have been beyond satisfied, btw) and came across this review . It grieves my heart and makes me angry to see them and their livelihood slandered in such an egregious manner. Therefore, I felt compelled to set the record straight. I could sit and type an entire dictation of what was said and done between this woman and the Allens, and between her and the police officers, but nobody wants to read that so I will try and sum it up. At NO time did Dr Timothy Allen raise his voice, let alone start "yelling" at this woman. Neither did his son, who happens to be one of his receptions. Both spoke so softly and calmly that I was in awe! Dr Tim never came anywhere close enough to put his hands in her face. He acted professionally the entire time. This woman was rude and disrupting their business even though Dr Tim was trying to accommodate her tardiness by letting her wait until he had finished with the other patients who were on time. She became more and more unruly. He had every right to call on the police department. It is private property and she was creating unrest and upsetting other patients. You wouldn't allow that in your home, would you? When she finally realized she wasn't going to get her way, she decided to claim racism. Not only was their not one racist word uttered nor implied by the Allens, but I've got news for you, my VERY WHITE friend was ALSO dismissed as a patient by Dr Allen for very similar reasons and he had been a patient for most of his life! Again, I could go on but I don't think it's necessary. Every slanderous claim that this woman made is a falsehood-- made up out of whole cloth. I also witnessed every interaction between her and the police officers. Again, those conversations didn't go anything like she claims. They said the opposite of what she claims, that Dr Allen "wrongly called them." They told her that he had every right to do so. They certainly did NOT come in "hot ready to attack" her. She has falsely slandered them as well. Finally, you don't have to believe my account. I encourage you to check them out for yourselves if you're in the market for a new doctor!

Came here for a hip injection (not cool, modern, and groovy but rather anatomically located left…read morepelvis proximal end of my femur) and I was rather anxious having researched the procedure. Of course I also researched the surgeon, one very capable fellow named Dr. Edwards who has an impressive training and experience record. Yes, I have trust issues. He was just the right combination of confidence, respectful bedside manner, and efficacy that made me feel silly when it was over and done with in the blink of an eye. For procedures like this, do not look at the needles, but do be aware of how far away (in surgeon's distances) important nerves are from said needles. The current imaging technology that allows for well guided needle insertion also makes these extremely low risk routine procedures. I'm still talking to myself here. The clinic is clean, the staff is very good, I especially appreciate being treated as if I'm not old and confused when I do provide some evidence that this might be the case. I do not see the need for the physician's assistant, seemed a superfluous extra cost layer but that's American Healthcare. The only complaint I have is a pretty serious one, it's very hard to get in for an appointment in the first place. I was referred 6 weeks before the procedure by my Ascension nurse practitioner (excellent btw, NPs are a better choice for primary care) but I had to call myself. The first four calls didn't get me through a completely non-medical screening agent who was only interested in my financial situation. But also they were all quite incompetent, they could not ascertain, verify that I have Medicare plus supplemental. I do, but since they couldn't substantiate this, they wouldn't make an appointment. I was in considerable discomfort which is why I was persistent, but they clearly do not care about patient pain or health at the entry level. I had to make an appointment with another orthopedic surgeon (another 3 phone calls) who works with Dr. Edwards at another clinic and get referred back to Edwards. All of these phone calls of course have to be while I'm supposed to be working. Then, once scheduled, the surgical clinic has to call and talk to me in person, again while I'm at work and not allowed to take phone calls. It's like the clinic, indeed much of the American healthcare delivery system is stuck in the 20th century for communications technology. Heck, I'm an old man and I learned how to use Google Calendar, Internet messaging, e-mail, and SMS. I know it's possible, my nurse practitioner and her office, and dentist as well can use all of these so communication is quite easy. The getting in part was so unpleasant and inconvenient this might have been a two star review in spite of how adept Dr. Edwards is if it weren't for a single act of respect from the front desk person (I won't name her in case she wasn't supposed to do this) who agreed that the office needs to catch up and move on from late 1900s phone tag. Or maybe I should find my telephone answering machine and hook it back up.
