It's odd that there's both a real Emergency Room and an Urgent Care at the same location. My Chief…read moreof Staff came to the Emergency Room on her own after stubbornly ignoring stroke symptoms until the symptoms went away. Thus, what she experienced was a Transient Ischemic Attack, which shaved off a few years of my life from worry. This is pertinent because the young (they are all young) physician and physicians assistant seeing her explained to her why I was concerned and why she should have immediately gone to an Emergency Room when experiencing dizziness and left sided weakness and numbness. I am reporting symptoms so everyone knows the signs of a stroke, slurred speech, weakness or paralysis on one side of the body, dizziness, strange smells (burnt toast), disorientation, especially very early in the morning when blood pressure is usually highest. When you see symptoms like this, get to a real Emergency Room (not an urgent care) right away. If the symptoms go away on their own, it's only a TIA, which is a warning that you or the patient is at higher risk of a true stroke, and it's so much better for diagnosis if you can get the patient to an EKG and CT scan or MRI while they still have the symptoms. If it's a true stroke (a cerebrovascular accident), there's lots of treatment now available that can dramatically increase not just chances of recovery but also the possibility of recovery with good prognosis. Don't spend time in denial. While the physician, PA, nurse, and radiology tech were all great, Froedtert has outrageous rates, and very aggressive billing. Other than the medical staff, the organization is just bloodthirsty bureaucratic capitalist greed incarnate.

I've been made felt like I was wasting their time, where truly they've wasted mine. I sat patiently and waited on care/answers. The NP that serviced me that evening did the bare minimum, and the M.A should have given a more kind and welcoming attitude. As customer healthcare service is highly important as we the patients is who they service we are the consumers. I left my two young children at home with my husband for an urgent matter only to leave feeling like I wasn't taken care of. I am still in pain and still with worry for my health. I am sadden to say I will not recommend this location to family or friends as I am a fellow health team member and I am disappointed in my experience.

I underwent surgery at St Lukes in December of 2023. My surgeon was Dr. Peter Leonovicz. Prior to…read moremy surgery, I was a nervous wreck, forcing my internist to put me on anti-anxiety medication. The staff at St Lukes took such great care of me the anti-anxiety meds were unnecessary. Ensconced in Room C3102A, the aides, Michele and Alexis, and the nurses Shanon, Michelle, Margaret, etc, were empathetic, caring, and knowledgable, able to listen and comprehend what I needed. I'm difficult! The last time I spent an overnight in a hospital was in 1959! I am used to VIP treatment, and I am often a dilettante. However, my arrogance was diffused by the sincerity of my caregivers at St. Lukes Hospital. I'm home recuperating, but I will never forget the kindness and care shown to me by the overworked and underappreciated staff. You are all amazing.

First, I must acknowledge that this review comes in the midst of several months of very active…read moreengagement with medical procedures: MRI, ultrasounds, X-rays, EKG, blood tests, PT, and 5 physicians. One can become fairly attuned to what's working and what's not with that level of involvement. Second, my experiences, while not unique to Aurora, reflect on the efficiency models used throughout US medical systems. Each week I get several automated requests to check in to the same appointments. While this requires no more than five minutes of my time, it is very redundant, particularly when I am often asked for the same information when I get to an appointment. The result may be greater accuracy in billing, but I seriously doubt it improves care Further, twice I've been given a pile of papers to complete while waiting, only to have them ignored by the provider. Finally, the only apparent people with which issues can be addressed are nurses and MAs who are similarly frustrated by these issues. In the end, it's not about health or care, and the system is not about people.

But when I recently booked a simple consult appt for a check-in on my sleeping treatments, they billed me $995 dollars for a 20 minute conversatin The appt was ok, but it wasn't even with an MD! (Rather it was an NP...) Are you kidding? The best lawyers in the world don't get $1000 for 20 minutes of work... I've called MANY times to discuss the matter and been completely blown off. Stay away unless you like wasting your medical dollars. (This review is for the Mequon clinic, but probably applies to all locations...)

I had a 15 min appointment with Dr Patel at St Luke's and with insurance I was billed for almost $600 out of pocket. Literally asked me a few basic questions any nurse could have easily done. After that huge shock I asked for a quote on the home sleep study. With insurance my portion was over $800. Then you have to do an overnight stay (can't imagine how many thousands that costs) and buy your cpap machine. Plan to throw away $5grand easily. There are home sleep studies you can find online for like $200. Or go through Reggie White Foundation if you can't get the help you need. This stuff can be deadly for people. Don't let Aurora scam you. I made a huge mistake thinking my office visit would be billed as an office building. Aparently I'm the fool who fell for that.
