I had to find a new doctor because mine retired. I heard about Dr. Allen from several people who go there. He sounded like the kind doctor that I was looking for so I made an appointment. I couldn't be happier with my choice. I've been there several times now and I so appreciate the care I receive. My questions are always answered before I leave. This is in response to the only other review on this business. The 1 star review: I happened to be in the waiting room/reception area that day and I saw it all and heard every word from start to finish, and this woman's account is not even close to what happened!! Read on for more. I have been seeing Dr Nikki Allen as my primary care provider for a few years. On a couple of occasions Dr Nikki has been booked up when I needed an appointment so I've seen Dr Tim Allen. Although, he's primary an Addiction Specialist, he also serves as a General Practitioner. These two people are not only excellent, professional, caring doctors, who go way above and beyond for their patients, but they also serve and give so much of themselves in their community, especially to those in need, in a real, sincere, tangible way! I happened to be looking up the link to their website for a new friend who is looking for a new doctor (as I've referred others who have been beyond satisfied, btw) and came across this review . It grieves my heart and makes me angry to see them and their livelihood slandered in such an egregious manner. Therefore, I felt compelled to set the record straight. I could sit and type an entire dictation of what was said and done between this woman and the Allens, and between her and the police officers, but nobody wants to read that so I will try and sum it up. At NO time did Dr Timothy Allen raise his voice, let alone start "yelling" at this woman. Neither did his son, who happens to be one of his receptions. Both spoke so softly and calmly that I was in awe! Dr Tim never came anywhere close enough to put his hands in her face. He acted professionally the entire time. This woman was rude and disrupting their business even though Dr Tim was trying to accommodate her tardiness by letting her wait until he had finished with the other patients who were on time. She became more and more unruly. He had every right to call on the police department. It is private property and she was creating unrest and upsetting other patients. You wouldn't allow that in your home, would you? When she finally realized she wasn't going to get her way, she decided to claim racism. Not only was their not one racist word uttered nor implied by the Allens, but I've got news for you, my VERY WHITE friend was ALSO dismissed as a patient by Dr Allen for very similar reasons and he had been a patient for most of his life! Again, I could go on but I don't think it's necessary. Every slanderous claim that this woman made is a falsehood-- made up out of whole cloth. I also witnessed every interaction between her and the police officers. Again, those conversations didn't go anything like she claims. They said the opposite of what she claims, that Dr Allen "wrongly called them." They told her that he had every right to do so. They certainly did NOT come in "hot ready to attack" her. This post is way over due but it's time the truth came out about this unethical, malpractice, racist and unprofessional establishment! Honestly I wasn't surprised by what occurred it's normal for a woman that looks like me to be overlooked. As sad as it may be, it is my truth and Mr.Timothy Allen and the Cudahy Police Department need to be called out! I think it's time to stand up, speak out and be the change! So hopefully by me shining light in this dark situation it will open Mr. Timothy Allen's eyes and his staff so they will be better and do better! On June 19th 2023 I was scheduled for a 3:30pm when I approach the counter the male receptionist (son of Mr.Allen) stated that I was late (3:34pm) and I will need to reschedule at this time. I was a little set back and confused and I asked the receptionist.. "Is there like a 15 minute grace period? " He then explained to me that the policy change last month and it is a unwritten rule. So I asked him if he can still ask the doctor if I can be seen. He went and asked and said that I can still be seen but I will have to wait since I was late. I said sure that's fine and then I asked How was everyone informed of this new policy change? Was it via email or paper mail? Because I don't see a posted here in the office.He stated that the policy changed last month and that it was verbally. Then I explain that I haven't had an appointment in a couple months so I wasn't aware of this new change and if my information can be updated So this miscommunication doesn't happen again. Apparently that upset the receptionist and before I knew it, Timothy Allen came out of the back room yelling at me with his hand in my face " You will not disrespect my staff , You are being inappropriate, You cannot ask questions, you are dismissed as a patient, You will not be seen here and then went on to say that I was trespassing and called the police on me". Then Mr.Timothy Allen also brought other patients into this situation stating that they were more than 5 minutes late and he still seen them and if I would just shut my mouth and act right I would have been seen too! Never in my life have I experience such a situation!!! I was completely shocked, embarrassed, I felt disrespected, discriminated against and belittled. Every time I try to ask a question of how I was being disrespectful by asking about the new policy change that I wasn't informed about or wanted my information to be updated / release. I was getting cut off & told I was trespassing and the police was on their way to give me a ticket and I will regret this. I told him that was fine but I will still like to sign a release of information from for when I go to a new doctor office. They denied me the release of information stating that they have no such form. When the police came in hot ready to attack me because apparently Mr. Timothy Allen made it seem as if I was being irate causing trouble and that I violated him and his property. Never once did I raise my voice, Never once did I mess anything up, The only thing that I did was ask a question & stayed firm. When the police officers realize that Mr. Timothy wrongly called the police on me, they apologize and they were able to get the release of information form from Mr. Timothy Allen for me to sign ( I recorded the whole incident which the police officer watched) However, it was still very biased because when I stated I will like to press charges for Mr. Timothy Allen putting his hand in my face, they totally dismissed me. read more
