First, parking is close and easy. Usually you can stay very close to the door. Second, the facility is small and check-in is fast and friendly and the waiting area is immediately accessible. They have a coffee machine, a table or two and standard chairs and couches for family and patients. There's also a TV and a monitor which tracks patient progress through their procedure for any waiting family or friends not inside with the patient. The interior waiting areas for patients having a procedure are standard hospital bays, with no doors, curtain access, but a recliner chair for companions or family members where they can stay throughout if they prefer. The privacy is perhaps minimal, but the access for the care time is easy and open. Every team member I've encountered here has been great - friendly, comforting, and this is important, they all seem to make a personal connection - even if it's small, that makes you feel seen as an individual. The Froedtert/Medical College is a massive organization and complex, so this is a very limited review of one area, which is the Center for Advanced Care, and specifically the Ear Nose and Throat Clinic. Been coming here for several years, and have always been impressed with the level of professionalism, and care. Especially the staff that work with Dr. David Poetker. Would recommend them to others that are struggling with ENT issues. Once you are in the proper parking structure, it's a quick ride up to the 5th floor. Get off the elevator and go east. There is nice signage that will get you where you need to go. Good luck with your treatment :)

The space is clean and well maintained, if not as new or fancy as some locations. There is ample lot parking available. I've seen a variety of doctors here, my primary being Dr. Russel Blankenburg who has also been the…read morephysician for my Stepmom and Grandma. The appointments are on time, the staff are friendly, and the facility is always clean! There is a Lab/X-ray center on the same floor (it shares a waiting room) which is extremely convenient if your doctor orders any tests. There has only been one occasion I had to go to a separate facility, but that was for a unique blood test. An advantage to the Wheaton system is they offer online scheduling, emailing with your doctor, prescription refill request, etc. through a program called "MyChart". I work weird hours, so this has been especially helpful for managing things I don't have time for during regular business hours. Also, I've been able to get results faster on my own without having to come to the office.

Last year, when Dr. Oosterbaan brought it up during my annual appt, she was fairly understanding and made some good recommendations. Fast forward to this year and my weight came up again and she basically encouraged me to develop an eating disorder if I wanted to lose weight... She suggested I skip breakfast, eat three hard boiled eggs for lunch, and have plain grilled chicken on top of a bed of plain lettuce for dinner. And if I wanted a snack at all during the day to have a cheese stick. She also said that peanut butter and nuts are too caloric, and that I should never eat those. And forget about carbs! She said pasta and bread are a huge no no (even in moderation) and that she never eats carbs. What was I supposed to say? Congratulations on depriving yourself of tasty foods? She was also super abrasive and rude when she said she wouldn't write me a prescription for Ozempic (which, I never asked for one and wasn't planning on asking for it!) She brought it up on her own. I've never left an appointment feeling so horrible about myself, but there's a first time for everything and thanks to Dr. Oosterbaan, that's exactly how I felt. If this is how she treats someone who isn't considered "overweight", I'm scared to imagine how she treats someone who is. Two and a half weeks later and I'm still disgusted by this conversation. I'll find someone else who treats their patients with respect and understanding, which you won't get with her.

Read on for more. I have been seeing Dr Nikki Allen as my primary care provider for a few years. On a couple of occasions Dr Nikki has been booked up when I needed an appointment so I've seen Dr Tim Allen. Although, he's primary an Addiction Specialist, he also serves as a General Practitioner. These two people are not only excellent, professional, caring doctors, who go way above and beyond for their patients, but they also serve and give so much of themselves in their community, especially to those in need, in a real, sincere, tangible way! I happened to be looking up the link to their website for a new friend who is looking for a new doctor (as I've referred others who have been beyond satisfied, btw) and came across this review . It grieves my heart and makes me angry to see them and their livelihood slandered in such an egregious manner. Therefore, I felt compelled to set the record straight. I could sit and type an entire dictation of what was said and done between this woman and the Allens, and between her and the police officers, but nobody wants to read that so I will try and sum it up. At NO time did Dr Timothy Allen raise his voice, let alone start "yelling" at this woman. Neither did his son, who happens to be one of his receptions. Both spoke so softly and calmly that I was in awe! Dr Tim never came anywhere close enough to put his hands in her face. He acted professionally the entire time. This woman was rude and disrupting their business even though Dr Tim was trying to accommodate her tardiness by letting her wait until he had finished with the other patients who were on time. She became more and more unruly. He had every right to call on the police department. It is private property and she was creating unrest and upsetting other patients. You wouldn't allow that in your home, would you? When she finally realized she wasn't going to get her way, she decided to claim racism. Not only was their not one racist word uttered nor implied by the Allens, but I've got news for you, my VERY WHITE friend was ALSO dismissed as a patient by Dr Allen for very similar reasons and he had been a patient for most of his life! Again, I could go on but I don't think it's necessary. Every slanderous claim that this woman made is a falsehood-- made up out of whole cloth. I also witnessed every interaction between her and the police officers. Again, those conversations didn't go anything like she claims. They said the opposite of what she claims, that Dr Allen "wrongly called them." They told her that he had every right to do so. They certainly did NOT come in "hot ready to attack" her. She has falsely slandered them as well. Finally, you don't have to believe my account. I encourage you to check them out for yourselves if you're in the market for a new doctor!

After waiting an hour past our appointment time, he spent approximately 5 minutes (NOT kidding) with us. He came in the room, said "any headaches" (to which my son responded "yes"), with Dr. Reichert's response of "I'm not doing surgery because you don't need it." Didn't bring up his MRI results or discuss them, didn't talk about any of his structural abnormalities, didn't ask "how are you," didn't listen to any concerns, didn't ask if we had questions, kept tapping on the exam table - slouched and leaning back in the office chair - completely unprofessional, cocky, disrespectful, NO bedside manners, treated us like we didn't know anything (I myself have a medical degree as an NP), didn't even assess my son(!), opened the door, and walked us out of the room. I would NEVER recommend this provider to absolutely anyone. I have no idea who would rate him so highly, but I really hope that you look to other providers to have an understanding of what one would be like if they had their patient as the focus of attention, during an office visit that I am paying for, related to a pretty significant issue.

Not what I expected. Exceeded my expectation…read more I had to complete and bring some paperwork (medical history, etc.) and a CD with two CT scans. I thought it better to submit them prior to the app't so the Dr. might have a chance to review BEFORE my visit. How could he go through all that and the scans during the app't, which I expected to be 15-20 minutes? The doctor saw me within 10-15 minutes of my appointment time and spent over 45 minutes speaking (and listening) to me, doing a brief physical exam, and then reviewing, in detail, the CT scans of my cervical and lumbar regions. He didn't review the scan in advance. He spent the time to review them with me. I was not there to proceed with any particular action or surgery. I was there to CONSULT and strategize whether to take action now (I'm 67), or wait some years, maybe 10 or whatever, to live with my ongoing condition/s (I've had a discectomy and fusion already) and take action at some later date. Dr. King understood all that, and considering the complete Degenerative Disc Disease (DDD) I have, he recommended we take a wait and see approach on the surgery. He did refer me to Dr. Doniparthi in the Pain Management clinic to again CONSULT the possibility of an injection or trigger point therapy. (I have seen her more than once before and had injections before). I did follow up with her the very next day and her assessment was basically the same - no assurance that any injection would help... might help, might not. So... wait and see as long as I could continue to function as is. I was very pleased that I was listened to, that a conservative approach was considered and taken, and will return to Dr. King, if and when, I deteriorate to needing some intervention.

When I call her in frustration yet another thing is not working, she is patient and kind, and tells me we will keep trying until we find something that will work. She, and her staff are quick to respond (they do have other patients, appointments and office hours). They are compassionate and patient when I am in pain, frustrated and teary eyed. They listen and really HEAR what I am telling them. I finally feel seen and heard. I have found relief with Dr. Traci, but she continues to fight for me and my quality of life. It is difficult to write this because Dr. Purath did help me with my migraines; however, I have…read morevery rarely come across any service person--especially a Dr.--who would talk to me the way Dr. Purath talked to me today. Dr. Purath was rude, unprofessional, invalidating, and mean-spirited. My problems with Dr. Purath started with her nurse. Every time I called during an emergency or when something was wrong I was directed to her nurse. The nurse would then tell me that she would talk to the doctor and get back to me. The information that she would relay always sounded ridiculous. For example, I once had a migraine so bad that I had to be escorted to the emergency room. After being discharged, I called Dr. Purath's office to get a medication while I waited to see her again. The nurse told me there was nothing that they could do because I went to the ER. I was flabbergasted. Another incident happened in the late winter or early spring of this year. I went to go fill a script that had been giving me relief from my daily migraines only to be told that Dr. Purath blocked the script. When I called her office, I was told that I never came in for a follow up appointment. (I was feeling better). I thought that it was reasonable to call someone before you blocked their medication, but today when I saw Dr. Purath she said, "We don't babysit." This summer the medication that I was on Escitalopram had caused me to gain approximately thirty pounds. My primary care doctor and another highly qualified doctor said that they had seen Escitalopram do this before. So, I called Dr. Purath's office a couple of times. The nurse got back to me after the second phone call and again said she would relay my issue to Dr. Purath. I got a phone call back saying that the doctor wanted me to stay on this medication for approximately three to six months. To me, this was unacceptable. But, I was sure that if I actually talked to Dr. Purath, the conversation would be different. Problematically, there was a couple months wait, so I went back to my primary doctor and tried another med. It didn't work. I called Dr. Purath's office again, and they had a cancellation. I booked my appointment and was happy that I might find some answers. Well, I was definitely wrong. First, Dr Purath told me that she had never seen that kind of weight gain from that medication. (Two other doctors I have seen said they have, and it is all over the internet). Then, she said well it seems like you are seeing a lot of doctors. I said that I wanted to see her but that it was a long wait. I told her it was like a month and a half or two months to see her. Furthermore, I said that was a long time to wait for a person who suffers from migraines. At this point, she said you don't have migraines. Well, yes, at this point, I am not having migraines but I have also gained thirty pounds. Dr. Purath then started going through her notes and questioning everything I said like I would intentionally lie or be misleading. At this point, I told her about the nurse and how difficult she was. She then went on to say that I was difficult. I told her I had never talked to her rudely or out of line. She brought up the time I called the office when they blocked my script. I didn't say anything offensive. I asked them to fill the script while I waited for an appointment. I then said I would think that the office would call if they were intending to block my medication. This is when she said the "We don't babysit" line. At that point, I had enough. When the appointment was over, I told Dr. Purath that this would probably be my last appointment,. What she did next was extremely unprofessional,. Dr. Purath proceeded to say "great, thank you, and I am happy." Then, she stormed out of the room. Side note: When I went to the ER for my migraines, it was my allergist that called to see if I was ok.
