I signed contract with the Frederick Bray & Scarff for an entire kitchen renovation on February 15, 2025. Although my experience with my designer Angie-Ange, my appliance rep Nick, and the quality of the work provided by the subcontractors was exceptional, I would not recommend Bray & Scarff to others. The project did not start until July 21, 2025. When I asked why there was such a long delay, I was told by the coordinator that the company had seven active jobs and were too busy! The contract stated the project would be completed around September 21, 2025, but it was not completed until April 21, 2026! The project manager never evaluated the job before it began and his communication was often demeaning and filled with excuses. He allowed all the city permits to expire and then thought I should pay for the extension fees. The project coordinator was totally incompetent. She only reported on work completed, as if I wouldn't know, and did not coordinate any service without being prompted by the designer or myself. The warehouse was incompetent. They left $4,200 of ceramic flooring on a public sidewalk for two days. When they were asked to break the pallet down and stack the tile inside the house, they responded by saying it was "too hot". When they came to pick the tile up, they gouged the base the tree in front of our house and broke the realtor sign in front of our neighbor's home; perhaps they should learn how to operate a hand truck. When the delivered the tile the second time, they crushed six slate path tiles by placing the entire pallet on top of the slate. Because the warehouse did not inventory the renovation items the deliveries were incomplete or missing items required for the subcontractors to complete their work. On two occasions I had to purchase some items at Lowes so the work could be completed. Finally, thank you for assigning Ugur Isik aa a project manager in March 2026. He was professional and worked expeditiously to get all the missing supplies delivered, the worked completed, and the permits signed off. read more

Bought washer and dryer set from them. They were used. The washing machine even had fabric softener in it from the previous owners. Took them several weeks to come get the product because they never came on the day when they said they would and now we're waiting on a refund. Had to write a certified letter. Absolutely ridiculous. Our order arrived in four separate deliveries, and each time the items were just dropped off with no installation as promised. The appliances are fine because it's not like they're making them. But please take this as a warning to any consumer purchasing appliances there do not sign up for the service plan. So far we've had two issues, one took three months to repair. They came out three times and was ridiculous. And now we're sitting at about six weeks on the current issue. The bottom line is they do not have enough people working for the repair department to service the amount of consumers that they have.. I can assure you that is the case. my washing machine broke today with a full load in it. tried several times to troubleshoot. decided on a new one. called their Rockville location and spoke with kevin. original item that I planned to purchase would be a few days to get. upon further questions kevin offered to sell me a floor model/display unit. not only was it bigger but it was nicer then my original model that I was going to buy. went to the store,purchased item and they offered me a five year warranty included in the price. which I must say was a very nice deal. kevin and another associate loaded it in my SUV and all of this from start to finish in 20 minutes. Our microwave stopped working in October and we have an extended warranty. Service came out to assess the situation and ordered the part. Once the new part arrived, it took time for someone to come and fix it. The microwave broke again and we have been waiting for a month for the new part to arrive. I went to Bray&Scarff based on positive reviews and the fact that they had their own installers and service techs, which was appealing to me. I got the dishwasher, but ended up with no install or service package. Overall - 1. I made an appointment like they recommended on the website to shop, but the sales team didn't check my name and seemed surprised that I was there since someone else walked in looking for a dishwasher before I did. I didn't understand the point of making an appointment. 2. My sales rep (Stacey) had enough knowledge for me to make a decision that I felt good about. She told me the installers would need about 34" to install the dishwasher. I had my husband measure at home and send photos, which I showed to Stacey and was told that there was enough space to install it. I moved forward and purchased the dishwasher, installation and 5 year service plan. 3. When the installer came a week later, he looked at our space and said he didn't have enough room to get the appliance in and that we would have to raise our cabinets/counter 1/4 of an inch in order for him to install it. He left and said he has his son's birthday party to go to. 4. I emailed my sales rep, who told me the installers are very strict about needing 34" to install a GE dishwasher. I mentioned that I showed her pictures of our measurements ahead of time and she assured me it would work, otherwise, why would I have purchased the appliance? Instead, she told me I can look at an ADA dishwasher or another brand IF they don't need 34'" for installation. 5. I hired my own installer, who told me he could install the appliance no problem, and according to the GE manual, we did not need 34 inches for installation as B&S told me 6. I cancelled installation AND the 5 year service plan from B & S since the store said they would not service the washer if there was not 34" clearance. When I cancelled the service plan, my sales rep told me, "Well, we wouldn't have had any of our guys service in your area anyway. It would have been whatever the plan could find to come out to your area." It's interesting that wasn't disclosed ahead of time. 7. When the dishwasher was delivered the second time, it was scheduled for 1-5pm in the afternoon as confirmed in my email and text message. On the day of delivery, I received a voicemail at 7:30am that he would be there by 9am, which was not the time I confirmed. I had a medical appointment in the morning and couldn't stay home in the morning. I wasn't able to reach anyone at the local store, the website, or the national line to let them know the delivery time is incorrect and wouldn't work. I emailed the sales rep before her shift started to tell her of the mix-up. 8. The delivery guy came at 9am and called me because I wasn't home. I explained he came at the wrong time, and so he came back at 5:00 that afternoon. 9. When he delivered the machine, he stated again that there is no way we can get the dishwasher in without raising the cabinets, cutting the old one into pieces to get out, and cutting our new floor. He also told us the sales rep should not have told me they can install it based on my measurements, and I should have paid $75 for a pre-inspection where the installers could verify if they can make it work so he would not have to waste gas or his time. Again, I didn't know this was an option and it was not offered to me at the store 7. My own installer was able to get the dishwasher in by himself, no problems at all, and he did NOT need to cut the floor, raise the counters or the cabinets to do so. I was looking for an appliance with installation and service package, and I certainly didn't get installation or a service package, and the whole ordeal took me 3 weeks to resolve with my OWN installer. We were comparison shopping for kitchen appliances including refrigerator, stove, microwave and dishwasher; these to be used in an upcoming kitchen remodel several months down the road. Found an excellent price at the Frederick, Md. store and shopping in an uncrowded showroom on Sundays was helpful. The delivery needed to be timed between demolition/cabinet installation tasks, which Bray & Scarff managed along with appliance hookups that Countertop Solutions did the prep work on. Removal of the old appliances also went smoothly. The only complaint is that a credit line I established as a backup payment source was used, even though we paid in cash a month earlier. We have had to go through the lender's dispute resolution process to get this reversed. Would be four or even four-and-a-half stars if not for this. [Update 7/22/19 -- the lender contacted me to say that Bray & Scarff had issued a credit to the loan account, zeroing out the balance. That was good news indeed! Score updated.] read more

DO NOT BUY FROM BRAY AND SCARFF! The staff in the Frederick store are completely incompetent and unprofessional including Jake, the General Manager. I needed to purchase a dryer and brought a washer too because I wanted the set. Jake lied to me by telling me both the washer and dryer I wanted were not in stock when in fact the dryer was in stock. He told me he needed to order both from the manufacturer and I would have to wait 4-6 weeks to receive them. They never put a hold on the dryer they had in stock at the time they ordered the washer and ASSumed the dryer would still be available when the washer arrived. The washer arrived, but there were no dryers in stock to fulfill the order. I was told I would have to wait an additional 3-4 weeks for the dryer. My experiences with Bray and Scarff have been less than desirable. We purchased a GE washer/dryer from them in September 2021 to be delivered when we moved into our new home mid October 2021. The sales person promised white-glove service. She raved about how they are a family owned local business with excellent customer service and white-glove delivery. Great! We like to support local business and that sold us over buying at a chain like Home Depot or Best Buy. That's where the good experience ended. The first installation team's truck broke down and they arrived 5 hours past the window of time they scheduled. There was very poor communication on my new window of time so I sat in an empty house ALL day waiting for the installers. The installers that finally came to my house entered my home with disgustingly dirty shoes. Mind you, my home was completely brand new, empty, and my own family had not yet stayed a night in it. The installer refused to take his shoes off and said his company did not use booties. The installer's hands were so dirty he literally left hand prints on my walls when he touched them. We had not even moved into the house yet and I was not thrilled about how dirty this installer was, but whatever, right? Just install my washer and dryer, please. He took one look at the polymer push-fit outlet box the builder used and he refused to install it. He said my house was "shitty" and the builder cut corners by using "shitty" products. He told me I would need to replace the unit to brass and he would not install my washer unless I did so. He had his manager on speaker phone who was also saying my builder used "shitty" products and they were not installing unless I replaced them with brass. So, I should void my 2 year builder warranty on my brand new home because you want to install only on brass pipes???? I literally lost my mind. I had not even moved into my home yet and other people were calling my brand new home in Urbana "shitty". Super unprofessional to say this outloud, even if in your head you think Ryan Homes is a shitty builder. I spoke with a manager at Bray and Scarff after this experience. He said he would send another team out to install my washer/dryer. He promised to make this situation right. He said I would need to sign a "waiver" because they do not like to install on the polymer push-fit outlet box that builders are now using (for the last 5 years Ryan Homes has been using this box). So you are telling me you are requiring 3,000 homeowners who are purchasing new homes in 2021 from builders in Urbana to sign waivers on their washer box instead of teaching your installers how to install washers on these newer polymer boxes? The manager also said his installers do not wear booties because they are dangerous to their installers when moving heavy equipment. I want to note that the movers who moved my furniture placed protective cardboard and plastic sheets on my floors to protect them from damage, the furniture delivery team that brought my 3 sofas wore booties AND the Best Buy technicians wore booties when they delivered and installed our TV's/wall mounts. They had on industrial type booties with grippers on the bottom. Also, the person who is installing our blinds took his shoes off when entering my home (without me asking) to measure for our blinds. Bray and Scarff was the only company that refused to wear booties or take off their shoes and the only company whose installers arrived filthy. The 2nd Bray and Scarff installation team had no idea about my experience with the first delivery team. So, there was no communication about using kid-gloves to make an unhappy customer THRILLED with her second experience with Bray and Scarff. This team left packing material all over my yard and in my garage when they left. I asked them repeatedly if we should take off the doors to my laundry nook to prevent damage and they said no, they were professionals. They damaged my stairs with the nuts and bolts on their dolly and were SUPER quick to tell me they did not do it, that it was there before. I know this is untrue because they were LITERALLY the only ones to use a dolly in my house. The movers carried furniture on their backs up my house and did not use a dolly. The installers also damaged my laundry room nook doors with the dolly. I waited 3 weeks to write this review to see if Bray and Scarff would follow up on my experience with them. The movers, the Best Buy Geek Squad AND the furniture delivery company ALL followed up with personal phone calls to see how my service was, but not Bray and Scarff. The disconnect of communication between their delivery team and their sales team is astonishing. purchased new kitchen appliances at the beginning of June for my contractor to install, because of some project delays the appliances ended up sitting in box in my garage for a month. when it was time to install I learned that my range hood was the wrong size. I called bray and Scarff about exchanging it for the larger size and showed a picture of it in the box, plastic packaging still intact. I learned I was outside of the return window but that sometimes exceptions are made. an exception wasn't made this time because apparently you can't resell it even though it's new in box and not even a little bit disrupted. their prices are no better than Home Depot or Lowe's and at least you get a decent return policy with those stores. I purchased a Kitchenaide dishwasher from them and because of my experience with dishwashers I paid an additional $200+ for an extended warranty to use their service people. Now I need work done and guess what? Their techs are too busy. So I either wait for them to free up, or I use their other warranty people who just so happen to be the same as Lowes. Now I have a lot of experience with this company and it's less than ideal. I also paid significantly less for that warranty for a similarly priced appliance. This is a real bait and switch. All in I paid nearly $1200 for something that would have been abouf $750 at Lowes. Don't let the part numbers fool you, the products are identical. I hate to do this, but this is long overdue. I bought a washer/dryer combo from them in October 2020. Fine, right? No. Not fine. When the washer / dryer was delivered the delivery people damaged my stairs. In my brand new home. When I confronted them about this they said "no English". Okay, whatever, I get that but I still saw them staring at my damaged oak stairs. Pleaded my case w/ my salesman to no avail. Second whatever. Finally, my washer has broken. It's never really worked right anyway but hot damn if I can't get that funky mug fixed for another month due to COVID. Delivery folks were masked and very professional. It was clear that each person had a job and both worked as a team to get our refrigerator installed and the old one moved to the garage as a backup. Shane and Enon (the delivery/Installers) were very careful with the whole process from start to finish. They even explained some additional setup and flushing that needed to be done before use. As far as sales is concerned, Jamie Seger was super to work with. She satyed on top of the the whole manufacturing issue and let me know of some alternatives that were recently received in the warehouse. We would still be waiting on our original selection if it weren't for Jamie looking out for our desire to replace a failing refrigerartor. read more

We purchased a full kitchen of appliances plus a washer / dryer for our new house. The purchase was in June with delivery for October. The sales person specifically understood our schedule and pushed us towards appliances they indicated would be available. The first issue was with the wall oven / microwave combination. We were told it arrived damaged. We were given the option of paying for an upgraded model or waiting past our move-in date for a replacement. We paid the additional fee. Next it was the range hood. Despite being told it would be available in October, about 2 weeks before the scheduled delivery, they told us it would be arriving late, and couldn't even provide a date certain on when it would arrive. Bray and Scarff seemed to accept no responsibility to help us, and we ended up finding a replacement online from another vendor. The latest is our washer. Every time we turn it on, it trips a breaker. Bray & Scarf at first insisted it had to be an electrical issue. We had our electrician replace the breaker and check the circuit, still trips. We tried other circuits with an extension cord, still trips. The folks at Bray and Scarff now say we need to go through their Service department to get assistance. The service department says the first available appointment is a month and half out. Nobody at Bray and Scarff seems to accept any responsibility or shows any interest in helping out. A quick internet search shows this to be a common issue with the model of washer we were sold. Salesperson accepts no responsibility. Very poor customer service, and you will be on your own once the sale is complete. read more

Our 4-year old Kitchen Aid broke for the 4th and last time in only 4 years. On Sunday we went to Bray and Scarff in Frederick and met with our sales rep, Mohamad. He took the time to show/explain several different models to us. We settled on a model by Cafe. Delivery was scheduled for Tuesday between 12 and 4 pm. Shane and Enon texted us what time they would arrive and were here earlier than anticipated. They worked together as a team while removing the old refrigerator and installing the new one. They were extremely careful not to damage anything. They cleaned up from the install and took extra time to go over the operations. from start to finish I would recommed Bray and Scarff for their excellent products, their professionalism, and care for the customer. I should have checked YELP before I bought my new, $4500 induction range from Bray and Scarff. For the sake of honesty, the sales team was good, aside from some communication issues; the delivery techs were great. It is the customer service and management staff that are the source of my ire. I bought a new range because I grew up using gas and have never liked electric. Induction is the closest to gas and I am, as of this writing, extremely pleased with the operation of the unit. The problem is the installation/service response to a major gaff on the part of Bray and Scarff. After supplying photos, measurements, and extremely detailed descriptions of my current appliance and the site conditions at my home I was told that everything was fine except that the 50 AMP breaker serving my old range would have to be replaced by a 40 AMP breaker. B&S said they would have their team take care of that. The new range was delivered on Tuesday, 13 July and the techs said they had no order for the breaker on their installation ticket. A call to the "office" resulted in a claim that the electrician would be by in about an hour. 2 hours later I called and was told the electrician would not be coming because he didn't have the part. The next day, Wednesday, 14 July, I was told that the part was on back order. I was also told that they still had no idea when they would be able to complete the installation. I told them how disappointed I was and that I intended to file a complaint with the BBB and the Office of Consumer Affairs in Annapolis. When I explained this to a Jeremy that I had been transferred to his response was, "...go ahead; I've heard all the complaints. I don't care!" The day after that, Thursday, 15 July, an electrician arrived with the part, hooked it up and reported that the range was defective and needed to be replaced. I received a call later that day from a Nick in the warehouse/delivery division who was the first person with whom I had spoken who actually offered a sincere apology and who promised to do everything he could to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, the best he could do was schedule a delivery for Saturday, 17 July. Total time being unable to prepare a meal 4.5 days. This is NOT $5000 worth of customer service. I used to run my own remodelling business and I never went to a job without having all of the parts necessary to complete an installation promised to a customer, and on those occasions that I did make some sort of mistake I made immediate apology and made the situation "right", ofttimes at my own expense. When a customer spends the kind of money that I spent what is being paid for IS NOT the product itself; it is the implied SERVICE that is commensurate with the purchase. It is an agreement between the buyer and the seller that the relationship will be pursued with honesty and integrity. Not once, with the exception of Nick who was not involved, did I receive a genuine apology from anyone at B&S, and the cavalier attitude expressed by Jeremy was extremely insulting. I was offered no compensation for the inconvenience caused nor was I asked what could be done to improve the situation. The complaint filed with the BBB is still awaiting a response from B&S. The old Roman expression, Caveat Emptor, is very applicable to B&S. Their end goal is to get your money for the absolute least amount of effort on their part, and they do not care about any inconvenience you may experience due to their incompetence. I urge anyone considering doing business with B&S to tread carefully; they are not what they claim to be. And Aaron Z, please don't insult me with your canned email response. We needed a full size freezer and unfortunately it was when the Va Governor ordered everyone to stay home. I figured it would be impossible. Not for Jake. He took my order over the phone, set up delivery and off we went. I was notified the evening before of the window of time for delivery. On the delivery day, I was called an hour ahead. High Level Overview of the more lengthy experience: 1. If you are starting with a blank slate, want the latest/trendy designs, or only want appliances; Bray & Scarff Frederick is pretty easy to work with. Everyone is very friendly. 2. If your project is challenging or includes aspects not immediately obvious or available, they are not easy to work with. 3. Scheduling (especially between the kitchen remodeling teams and the appliance teams) is a nightmare. 4. They are not organized or cohesive and this results in sub-par customer service. 5. The service/installation folks did a great job. Here is a more detailed version of my experience: Our first project was to replace an older oven and replace an old refrigerator. The original sales rep (Melvin) was pretty easy to work with and this project went smoothly. I had zero complaints about this experience, probably because it just included 1 component of the business - appliances. Our second project is where things really started to become frustrating. This project initially started as just replacing an old cooktop with a new one and installing a range hood insert. After determining that the new cooktop required us to cut our existing countertop ($500 just to cut it), we decided to just go all in and replace the whole countertop, upgrade our sink, and faucet as well. We had done our research and we knew what appliances, faucet, sink style, and countertop material we wanted. *Note - our second project, specifically for the vent hood, was definitely more on the custom side as our house is old and we didn't want to tear out the existing cabinetry. Luckily, there are several range hood manufacturers that make inserts specifically for this type of a project - Zephyr being one of them. Bray & Scarff deals with Zephyr products, so should be easy, right? Wrong. The new sales rep I was working with for the appliances said "no problem!" for what we wanted. Then, after the field measurement I was told that the duct work for the insert "couldn't be done" as I had initially discussed with our sales rep. So, I asked her for alternatives and she gave me one I agreed to. Then, about a week or so later she came back and said that they wouldn't do the duct work at all, but would install the range hood insert as long as I did the duct work. I'm pretty handy, so no big deal. I can take care of that. Shortly thereafter, she emailed me and said that the Zephyr range hood insert that I had wanted was discontinued and they were unable to get it for me. I found it odd that within a few weeks of "no problem" we arrived at "discontinued". Seems like that should have been something she should have known before saying "no problem". Her advice to me was literally - maybe you should do that yourself. (I ended up purchasing the Zephyr insert we wanted off of Amazon for cheaper than she quoted me). It took me a few hours to modify the existing cabinetry to accept the Zephyr insert and run the ducting. You'd never even know there was a range hood insert there unless you opened the cabinet doors. I don't understand why they wouldn't do this. The countertop sales rep was very nice and knowledgeable, but his helpfulness pretty much deteriorated whenever we started discussing faucets for the new kitchen sink/countertop. We specifically noted that we did not want a modern/trendy "pull down" faucet and that we preferred something with more of a vintage flair to fit the profile/character of our house. Pretty much every faucet he sent to us to look at included pull-downs. So, he said if we wanted to find the faucet and send those details to him, that would work. We found the one we wanted and sent that to him. He then told us that he couldn't get that model because it was discontinued. His advice to us was to see if we could buy our own faucet and then the Bray & Scarff installers would install it when they were putting in the countertops. (I ended up purchasing the Kohls faucet we wanted off of eBay). Why were we going through Bray and Scarff again when it seemed like we were buying everything on our own? The worst part of everything was the scheduling to actually have the project completed. It was so disorganized on their end and no one seemed to own any of it. The appliance installers have their own scheduler who is different than the countertop folks and one hand doesn't talk to the other. I got a lot of "it's out of my hands" responses. When I signed the contract with Bray & Scarff to have them install everything, I did so with a 19 August target date. The project didn't get started until the 9th of September. The end result after installation was really nice, but as a customer, it was incredibly frustrating having to bounce around to multiple people trying to get a simple answer. I also really was discouraged about their lack of interest in working with me to address the vent hood insert. Overall, I'd recommend going elsewhere because of how disorganized they were. read more

The expert assistance we received from Mohammad (for fridge #1) and Jake (for fridge #2) was first rate. They clearly knew what they were talking about, were very courteous and patient, and we felt absolutely no pressure. When it came to pricing, both strove to get us the best prices possible, and were able to meet or beat competitive comparisons. This review is for the initial purchase, delivery and installation of my appliances. I'll post a follow-up review later to cover any service issues. I was really shocked to read all the negative comments about B&S here on Yelp. I'm guessing if I would've read them I probably would've never purchased from them. For once, I'm glad I didn't look at Yelp first. My experience with B&S (particularly my saleswoman Sharon and installer Tony) to date is excellent. I spent quite a bit of time researching my dishwasher and washer & dryer combo purchase. I settled on Maytag Series 2000 laundry appliances and a Bosch dishwasher. Once I knew what I was looking for, I set about calling around and searching on the internet for a retailer. My girlfriend recommended B&S. After trying to find my appliances from the big box stores and Sears I finally turned to B&S. Not only did they price match all the best prices I got from elsewhere on my Memorial Day shopping spree, Sharon went the extra mile to find the best rebate deals on the combination of appliances I'd purchased. The day before delivery I got a call that the dishwasher I wanted was no longer available. Sharon admitted it was a fault of B&S for even showing the dishwasher. Based on the late date I was being notified about this, I was on high alert for a bait and switch tactic. I was not pleased. But Sharon stayed calm (although I was clearly not happy) and found a suitable, alternative Bosch dishwasher. It was a dishwasher I had originally considered at Sears. Unfortunately the price had gone back up from the original sales day price but Sharon and B&S retroactively price matched their unit to the Sears day sales price since they had made the mistake in the first place. I call that excellent customer service! (plus, to be honest, I would've walked away from the sale on principle alone). The small amount they discounted netted them an almost $2,000 sale. On delivery day, Tony called me early and gave me a heads on arrival. He was very personable and professional. He and Carlos (Carlos could learn a lot from Tony) set up my appliances quickly and competently and were EXTREMELY careful not to damage or mar my recently installed new wood floor. They went over the basics of the appliances, tested them and removed the old appliances in just about an hour. I've run several loads of clothes through the washer and dryer and everything seems a-okay so far. I give a big thumbs up to B&S. read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I have purchased 3 washer and dryer sets from this company in the last 2 years for my home,business, and rental property. Today I had Tim there service technician out for the 2nd time to service my washer in my rental that I bought last March.I said to him " It is not draining or spinning properly can, we replace those parts to see if that helps the problem?", and his responce to me over the phone was "Maybe you should come up here and fix it yourself" wow Customer Service Ever heard of it??? I immidiately asked him to leave the property and called the service center. Very dissapointed by the response I got their as well, they told me rather than arguing about what had happened they would turn the call over to the manufacture. I went to Bray & Scarff to purchase new upgraded refrigerator and oven. Jake was my salesman. He assisted me in choosing the best oven for my needs, and steered me in the right direction for a refrigerator. I purchased a Wolf oven and installation was flawless. I'll be heading back over to the store to choose my refrigerator. The store does not use high pressure sales tactics which I am grateful for. read more

Sold me two damaged appliances. The dishwasher flooded my house and had sparks coming out of the back. The first repair man told me it wasn't broken when he showed up weeks later. The second repair man found the problem. He said the plastic seal had been cut away to make it fit into a smaller space. It was sold to me as new. The sparks were from stripped wires caused by taking it out of another house. The refrigerator had a dent. I expected them to handle it but instead I had to beg for repairs both times. I had to talk to several people in different departments. I missed several days of work because they would give an appointment time and then they didn't show up or sent people who didn't know what to do or just didnt want to fix the broken parts. It took months for resolution of both broken appliances. They were so incredibly rude and unprofessional (except for one salesperson in the Frederick office). The "repair department" and delivery department set new lows for bad service. I would not recommend. They didn't think it was unreasonable to ask me to take the entire day off and not tell me what time the appointment was. Once for delivery is a little unreasonable but several days for each broken appliance is beyond the pale. They offered me a $300 refund for all the missed work and broken appliances but never gave it to me. read more

Potential customers beware: do NOT buy GE dryer #GTD72EBSNWS. Your clothes will not fully dry. You have to keep restarting the dryer multiple times to get the clothes fully dry. We have had GE come out to replace a sensor, but the problem still persists. Bray & Scarff will NOT service your dryer. We are stuck with this piece of s__t dryer. We are done with GE and we are done with Bray &Scarff. read more

I have been a customer of Bray & Scarff for more than 10 years, having bought all of our major appliances from there. I purchased a Kitchen Aid gas/electric convection oven last year and paid extra for a full warranty. After a few months, the heating element blew, and I called the Bray & Scarff service department. They told us that it would take approximately 2 weeks for parts to come in, but it has been over 6 months, and still no parts. We have called various times, emailed the manager, and have had no response. I even asked if they would reimburse me for the parts and labor if I were able to find an appliance repair service who had the part in stock. Not having a working oven for 6 months is incredibly inconvenient and frustrating, and the response from this store has been indifferent. I will never recommend Bray & Scarff to anyone who is in need of an appliance, and I will never buy an appliance from them again. read more

Called them with a question about their installers & buying a new microwave. Spoke to Sharon who asked if I had tile on wall behind or up to the over the range microwave. Pointed out that model I was looking at was close to 1 inch longer than previous models. Spot on question- ended up buying a different brand she suggested. Did all this over the phone, delivered few days later & installed by great guys in less than 1/2 hr! Easiest shopping ever & their price was very competitive. read more

Unfortunately, after ordering two refrigerators and one oven, the guy who came out to measure said everything was fine, then delivery had to still cut things. Then we're still waiting for the one refrigerator - was told it was coming the next day, got confirmation email as well, then received call that it's not on the truck. Sick of these companies jerking us around. We not only will not be using them again, I will make sure folks know the problems that we encountered. So, after about 4 or 5 attempts to get the black refrigerator, each time the Frederick store telling us a new date and NO SHOW! We decided to switch to a white one, which apparently was sitting in the warehouse and scheduled to be delivered today. SO, when we never received a delivery call and called the store, of course the level of poor service and incompetence was overwhelming ... the employee tried to say that the delivery people were at our house previously. So, not only can they not provide quality service, they do nothing they say they will do. Stay clear of that store - maybe it's bad all around with them, but the Frederick store is definitely not focusing on quality and customer service. read more
