Ron came highly recommended which is why I was surprised that it ended up such a disaster. He came…read moreout to my house to do a walk through and everything seemed great, he personally assessed everything that we needed packed and moved and he gave me his pricing that day. We scheduled to have his crew come pack on a Saturday and move us the following Monday. On Saturday one lady arrived at the appointment time of 9:00am, the other two arrived at 9:30am. I met them at the house to go over everything and then had to leave to work, I left them with a key and the combination to the keybox where they could put it when they left. They packed all day but ran out of boxes and some packing supplies and, instead of calling to get more, they just stopped packing and left the remaining items unpacked (Strike 1). When my wife asked them to leave what packing supplies were left (since we were charged for them) so that we could pack the remaining items, they got defensive and finally agreed to leave us one roll of bubble wrap. When we mentioned it to Ron he said he would bring back the rest of the supplies on Monday, which he did. They insisted on being paid that evening, and when Ron gave me the amount he charged me for 3 ladies for 10 hours when one lady was at my house for 9 hours and the other two for 8.5 hours. When I brought it up he said that he had forgotten to factor in drive time since I lived in Fair Oaks. The house was in Fair Oaks the day he came out to walk through and gave me pricing, it wasn't any different the day they came to pack it up. Changing the price after the work has been done is unacceptable. (Strike 2). When I got home and checked, my house key was not in the lockbox as we agreed. When we called and asked her where it was, first she said we didn't give it to her, then she said she forgot where she put it, then she said we should have called her earlier when she might have remembered where she put it. She could not have cared less that she lost my house key! (Strike 3). I was planning to have them unpack the boxes at my new house but at this point I wanted as little to do with them as possible so I let them know that I would unpack everything myself. When they came on Monday to load and move they arrived 30 min late. They took a lot of breaks and had to be repeatedly reminded to get up and keep loading the truck. I was paying them by the hour. The two small trucks that they brought were not big enough to hold everything, and Ron wanted to charge me to go unload at the new house and then come back and load the rest and move it. He saw the amount of items when he walked through, he chose the size of the truck, I should not have to pay more because the truck was too small. They ended up leaving approximately 30 boxes at the old house that now I have to figure out how to move myself (Strike 4). He initially refused to carry my wine fridge upstairs, but after I insisted they did take it upstairs. He forgot the stacking bracket for my washer and dryer (which he scratched in the move) and his answer was "make sure you go and get that, it's not safe to have them stacked without it." Not, "I'm so sorry I'll have someone go get it and finish stacking the appliances as we agreed to." When I got to unpacking the boxes later that evening they were a jumbled mess inside. Those that contained glassware were packed nicely but the rest were just thrown in with no order at all. I can see why they ran out of boxes because most things were not packed orderly. Pots and pans and pantry items were just tossed in a box, some items were laying on their side and spilled (Strike 5). All in all it was a frustrating experience and nothing went as we had agreed. It cost more than we agreed to, they moved less than we agreed to, they lost my house key, and they damaged things. I can't imagine a worse experience.

I discussed the details of my move with Ron (the owner) at length when I booked his company. I should have read the two bad reviews of his company on Angie's List beforehand - each person had eerily similar experiences with him as well. Eek! Main issues: - Movers showed up with a small u-haul type trailer pulled by a truck, rather than a big trailer - Upon their arrival, we were told it would take two trips to move our stuff rather than one trip, which is a 30 minute drive each way and we were paying hourly - Also upon arrival, the small trailer had another customer's big elliptical work out machine inside which took up almost half of the space inside - Two movers showed up for the first hour rather than three, thus adding to the amount of time it took to move - Movers tore a door handle off in our apartment during the move and scratched the walls - Ron, the owner, was highly unprofessional, yelling and cursing out both me and my husband when we tried to discuss the massive problems we had with this move, to the point of both hanging up the phone and driving off during the conversation - Movers did not get everything out of our apartment due the small trailer, and we had to bring over the rest of our stuff ourselves - Movers took a highly unusual 15-20 minute detour while en route to our home, thus adding to our stress level and to the time we were being charged

Im glad I did because I ended up packing ahead of schedule and he and the team were able to get my move done a day early with one day notice from me. I was so thankful because then I had more help from my family to unpack. They wrapped everything well and nothing was broken, which wasnt the case with my movers I hired for my last move. I will say the crew (not Brandon) did start to get tired and off track toward the end but ended up completing about 30 minutes ahead schedule of my quoted price. I fear if we would have only had two movers we wouldn't have been able to get it done in 6 hours. (3 Br 2 Bath 1600 sq foot house) All to say, three movers was the right call for this size project. Thanks!

We hired this company (specially Brandon) to help move our belongings to our new apartment. I do…read morewant to start by saying the team was very friendly and accommodating, especially when we ran into unexpected issues with our leasing office not giving us keys when previously agreed. They were patient and worked with us through that situation, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. Despite being told multiple times that the truck was "fully loaded," we returned to find several large items still left behind in our garage (see photo). These weren't small or easily manageable things -- they were exactly the type of items you hire movers to handle. At no point was it communicated that anything was being left. That's the biggest issue. If something doesn't fit or can't be taken, that needs to be clearly stated in the moment -- not discovered after the fact when we have already paid ($1100+) no longer have a way to transport it ourselves. What made the situation even more concerning was the complete lack of communication during the move. At one point, we lost track of them entirely (no response for nearly an hour)... as a result my partner ended up having to drive (12 minutes) back to the old apartment to find the truck leaving, then had to follow it for an extended period of time due to genuine concern about where our belongings were going. There were multiple wrong turns, and later the explanation given was that one phone had died and the other was in the back of the truck and couldn't be accessed. All of this happened while they had our garage door opener and full access to our home, which only added to the stress and concern. No customer should be put in a position where they feel they need to monitor movers to ensure their belongings are safe. We understand that moving days can be hectic and things don't always go perfectly, but clear communication and follow-through are the bare minimum -- and both were lacking here. While we appreciate their friendliness and flexibility, the job was not completed as expected, and the lack of transparency left a bad impression. If you use this company, I would strongly recommend confirming in person that everything is actually loaded before they leave. We won't be using them again.
