Our 3 movers did an excellent job communicating departure and arrival times, wrapped the furniture…read moreso well that no damage was done, and put everything together very quickly. We were very pleased with their work. We were disappointed with the miscommunication we had with Adam around pricing. We gave our location, items purchased, and that items were to be situated on the ground floor and received a quote of $150-$250. We were told pricing was $75/hour and upon paying, were told three people is $100/hour. The movers said it was because of how many items we had that they needed an extra person, but we gave them that info to get the quote. With their experience, I feel like quotes should be closer to the actual price. Our total was $59-$159 over. When asked about the gap in pricing, Adam explained that, when we asked about precautions for damage, it might take a little extra time to wrap and ensure protection. I'm not sure how that increased our price that significantly or why that wouldn't have been done in the first place. They also said we could pay by cash or card and were charged a surcharge for using a card, which was not disclosed beforehand. We would have had cash on hand. All in all, the work done was great and worth the pricing, but it never feels good to pay more than expected or feel like there are undisclosed/not discussed costs. Better communication would have earned them the 5th star.

USE SOMEONE ELSE!!! I hired the Moving Man to assist with a specialty move, and enough furniture…read morefor a 1 bedrm apt. I specifically requested 2 floor dollies for the hospital bed as this was imperative to transport the bed on its side. Adam (the owner) and 2 other men showed up. The crew repeatedly ignored clear instructions, including my request to bring two floor dollies for a specialty hospital bed. Instead, they attempted to use a bulky cart resembling a luggage cart that didn't fit the hallway turn, resulting in broken drywall in multiple areas and damaged door trim. This method was largely unsuccessful, and the hospital bed had to be handled differently. More troubling, Adam tampered with the hospital bed's electrical components, removed the battery, and attempted to operate the bed while it was on its side -- something I specifically warned against. This caused visible strain on the central hydraulic arm and risked permanent damage to a medical device. My laminate floor was gouged when Adam purposely dropped the metal electrical panel cover, stating "I am just going to remove this", as he attempted to restore power to the bed because the battery died while he was operating the bed on its side and under strain. Adam disconnected the Washer improperly, leaving the valve partially open, which when discovered the next day had caused water to leak and damage both the laminate flooring and drywall. Despite my request to remove the washer & dryer pedestals before moving the machines, they twisted and forced the units down the stairs, leaving the pedestals dented and warped. Although Adam acknowledged the wall damage, the overall lack of care, failure to follow instructions, and unsafe handling of equipment make it impossible for me to recommend this provider. I reported the damages to Adam & I am yet to get a call back to settle the damages incurred for the drywall, gouged flooring, twisted washer/dryer pedestal, water damaged flooring. He refused to furnish his liability insurance. This says a lot.

Firstly, just let me say two words ..... TOTALLY FANTASTIC!…read more I have lived all around the world and I always dread moving time, as I know most people do! But part of my fear, is how many times you come across slipshod work and negative/bad attitudes from the movers themselves. I've had a number of antique pieces damaged in the past. However, this time, Andrew and his team put my faith back into the whole business. From the start, he was both courteous and very accommodating to my needs. I found him friendly, approachable, but at the same time an absolute professional. I was already impressed. When the move itself took place, the whole team pitched in, handled things with extreme care, moved swiftly and efficiently. But that is what you would hope to experience from any really good movers ..... With Mustard Seed, I actually felt that they wanted to ensure I had an EASY move. To put it simply, they cared about me and the job. An example, they had explained at the beginning that the hourly rate was rounded up to the next quarter hour and at the end of the move, Andrew said .... "Okay, you have ten minutes left of that last quarter hour ..... What can we move for you?" ..... It turned out to be a huge pile of textbooks, coffee table books which undoubtedly saved me personally a lot of backache going back and forward to my new apartment (same complex) and a couple of hours work. Most movers would have simply rounded up and not asked. I dread my next move now for a completely different reason ..... How will I ever find an Andrew and Mustard Seed Company ever again?? In my opinion, they are the finest movers that I have ever used. Don't hesitate - pick up the phone and call.

The first mover I booked completely ghosted me. He didn't return my calls or texts. In panic mode, I relied on a friend, which was a mistake. I had wanted movers to alleviate it from my conscience. Long story short, I got no sleep that night and was even more frustrated. Then I scheduled another moving company the following morning. This one I left a 1 star review and you can read that one in my Review History. Do you realize how awful it feels to have Plans A-C fail completely?! I had two nervous breakdowns and I fainted from lack of sleep and food. A friend of mine referred me to Magnum Movers and they were able to fit me in IMMEDIATELY. They were the NICEST and most careful men! And super friendly and courteous, always wearing their masks. They did everything I directed them to, and did amazing work moving the remaining 50% of my 1bed1ba to my new 1bed1ba. The price was also excellent for the quality. Magnum Movers restored my faith in moving companies and I am so happy they were able to help me during this emotionally and physically exhausting time. This was the simple moving situation I had always hoped for and while I'm sad I didn't book with them for my Plan A, you bet I will be going to them first moving forward.

I contacted this company through Yelp, but was surprised the request went to several junk hauling businesses. However, it's easy to let businesses know through Yelp you no longer need their service. Antonio from Amigos reached out right away and asked for a picture of the recliner we needed removed. The price he quoted was very reasonable and much less than another business I had contacted before his. I agreed right away and he told me the exact time he planned to be at our place for pick up. Antonio even gave me a heads up that he was in 1604 traffic (understandable), which I greatly appreciated. Despite the traffic, him and his sons arrived right on time. I appreciated that his business was a family affair and enjoyed seeing how kindly he was coaching his sons to help remove the chair. Antonio was a consummate professional and incredibly courteous. He brought a regular truck to take the recliner, but said he has much larger trucks available for larger hauls if needed. I am saving Amigos in my phone as a trusted business. I would absolutely use them again to haul off large unneeded items.
