I've only been here twice and my most recent visit was a week ago. My first visit I think I ordered a calzone, which ended up being decent enough but it's not my favorite calzone that I've had from local Americanized Italian restaurants. This past time I got a 'subasta' mainly because of the extra appetizing menu picture which depicted what looked like a heaping portion of spaghetti meat sauce with cooked spaghetti noodles mixed in. The idea was very intriguing and the picture was so enticing. Plus when I ordered it, I asked for a cup of extra sauce just in case I got skimped. So my table gets their food and my subasta was a whole different story than what I'd been shown on the menu. There was a sub roll, sure, and there were heaping scoops of spaghetti noodles, definitely, but somehow things just didn't translate with a menu item that was clearly advertised incorrectly. On each sub half there were these meat discs that, texture-wise, resembled meatballs and they had a little smearing of plain canned marinara sauce on one side of them. There was a little bit of melted cheese on the opposite side of these meat discs, but they existed on these piles of plain spaghetti noodles jammed between the sub rolls. As soon as I viewed this plate, I was disappointed. I didn't send the order back because I'm too nice in most cases, but I really should have. I also wasn't given the cup of extra sauce that I very specifically asked for. The onion rings were SO GOOD and I found myself wishing I had a huge plate of just onion rings because I was hungry. I ate the sub and pulled off a LOT of the naked spaghetti noodles because there was no flavor or point to them. If I go back, I'm getting pasta (Alfredo to be more specific) or a basic small pizza. This review is a bit behind due to some medical issues. (July 2024) We had our grandson visiting from MA and just wanted to check out the countryside. Since I'm always in the mood for pizza, (much to my wife's chagrin and my cardiologist's accountant's delight) we ran across Bravo. We've found that many small business "mom and pop" restaurants can be a great experience. Bravo was one of those experiences. Ok- it's "pro and con bullet point time"... Pros: -- Parking wasn't an issue whatsoever. The parking lot was clean with I believe one Handicapped space. -- The inside was cozy; the hostess was very nice and we were seated almost immediately. The three of us were at a table for four, and the waitress took our order in maybe 3 to five minutes. -- The restrooms were a tad dated and small, but clean. Extra sundries were within reach. -- Our lunch arrived within twenty minutes. My wife had a meatball sub; my grandson and I woofed on a large pepperoni/pineapple pizza with extra sauce. -- The staff we dealt with were polite and helpful; the dining area was clean but quite dated. Cons: -- I understand the economic situation we were coming out of at that time, but the prices v. food were on the high side. ‍ -- Though the temperature outside was 95º+ at the time, our table was located directly under a vent coming from Antarctica; There is not to much room in the shop to arrange tables, so we let it go. -- The pizza was pretty good- but we're running into the food cost situation again- it was a bit high. They did give extra sauce (which many places say they will - don't) The pizza could've been in a few more minutes too. According to my wife, the sub was, well- "just ok". Got a pizza from here a couple weeks back, the meat lovers was good but the crust was just meh. Got fried mushrooms but the breading was heavy overall and then they were over cooked, like, if I took those out of the fryer I'd have been embarrassed to serve them, let alone place them in a $50 order. Don't think I'll order that anymore, the staff however was nice especially the taller girl that had the Star Wars tattoo. Fridays for us typically = pizza. Generally, the pies here are hot with fresh ingredients. Tonight (a Friday) was busy and perhaps that's why the service was ok and equally matched the food. Understandably the 2 waitresses were running alot. The phone rang several times with no one to answer. I feel sorry for the people trying to place a pick up order. I did overhear a waitress say someone had called out that evening. Our appetizer and my salad arrived with the pizza. The pizza looked great... but it lacked flavor and seasoning. My son and I ate here on a whim for lunch. The hot wings were really good, first place in this county that I've had good hot wings. So, that alone was impressive. Fries were over done. Nice little Italian restaurant. Cozy dining room with clean bathrooms. Food is good as are the portions. Service is also very good and wait staff are attentive. Only bad meal we ever had there was ordering the white pizza with chicken. Pizza was good and so was the garlic sauce, however the chicken pieces were tough and sinewy and we had to take most of them off. Other than that, a nice friendly place not too far to drive and overall a nice outing. After a Sunday religious service several members myself and my family included (10 people total) went to eat at this restaurant. As I walked in it was very clean, no one was there besides another couple which I found a little odd but figured maybe because it was around 4pm we had dodged "Sunday traffic". After seating down we were approached by the waitress....... Although I had noticed an odd attitude toward me and my family while there I didn't want to assume the worst and I mentally dismissed my thoughts. I noticed a few awkward encounters with the waitress toward my family in-particular. After everyone finished eating the waitress started picking up the plates while walking away she swiped across my sons suit resulting in a substantial amount of ketchup getting on the shoulder part (FYI: my son is a very short frail little fella so her not having/lifting the dishes high enough is confusing because it didn't require a lot to do so) Once I noticed what she'd done I brought result to her attention were she said she would get a dishrag. She brought cloth to me and I said "Thank you and if this doesn't work I will bring dry cleaning bill for reimbursement". She replied laughingly "Good luck with that" as she walked away. I repeatedly wiped my sons suit off and although I was upset and shocked by her attitude I didn't say anything else....... Once everyone walked up to register to pay their totals, I paid my ticket and the waitress made no effort to say sorry nor was concern whether the stain was removed. I'm not sure if I'm the only "person" that has left there feeling ill-treated as a paying customer but I did and I have absolutely no desire to visit that establishment ever again why because I called a few days later to talk to a manager to make a complaint and surprisingly the waitress was a manager who continued to display an unprofessional attitude along with lying. I'm not sure if the owners know how she's representing there business but if they don't I hope they find out sooner then later. read more

Don't be fooled by their claims of fresh. Waitress admitted the hot peppers were from a bottle when i asked what they were. Was assured they were not Jalapenos- they were Jalapenos. Also the dough they use sure tastes like frozen dough for their pizza as it surely was not fresh dough when i ate it. My wife had eggplant parmigiana which was so so bland. It literally had no taste. The eggplant was extremely seedy and the sauce was watery and barely tasted like tomatoes and i swear the angel hair pasta they used was bought at dollar general right down the street. We should have walked out as soon as we walked in and all the tables were dirty despite only two other tables being occupied. The dirtiness extended to the plates we brought as well - my wife didn't use hers when the fries were brought as it sill had food from a previous dinner on it. Don't bother ordering the fries either unless you like Great Value frozen brand crinkle cut from Walmart cause that's what they served us. Stopped in for a late lunch/early dinner on a Saturday afternoon drive from Va Beach to Lynchburg! Great little spot with excellent food and service! We were their first customers on their first ever open on Sunday day. We were greeted by two smiling faces and seated promptly. My husband had the baked spaghetti with mushrooms in red sauce and it was delicious. I had grilled chicken with penny pasta in olive oil with garlic and bacon. The chicken was moist and tasty. The garlic and olive oil was just the right flavoring without being overwhelming. They bring two servings of bread which were warm and brushed with olive oil. My husband asked for another serving and not until we saw the bill did we realize there was an up charge for the second serving. It was a small charge, but we think it should have been mentioned when we made the request to avoid the surprise of seeing it on the bill. Anyone traveling to or from Hampton Roads on 460 should definitely stop by Bravo and give it a try. Bonus: if it's Tuesday, you get to sample your date for Saturday! read more

My pregnant wife was in here tonight (she use to be an employee) and her manager under her breathe to our waitress said"wow she has gotten really big" my wife is pregnant regarding that comment. We came in on a Friday night I had a Steak that was cooked med well very tasty and great baked potato that was hot, not cold, not warm BUT HOT!!!
