I am very very disappointed in how techs handle certain situations and actually found a MAJOR issue in open ductwork in unfinished basement that NO ONE from this company even bothered to look into or do any sort of testing to find out root cause....when I stated that my husband and I smelled musty, dusty smells and were affected by allergies, I was told 'this is normal' and nothing else. ???? You pay almost $400 for their better tier plan for HVAC service, and what you get is little to NOTHING. The tech barely does anything and if you state you have issues, they blow you off. Lazy!!!! I hired another company to install a new system, wasn't about to give this company anymore of my money. They found a cracked UV bulb that Hotzople had replaced, my filter area was jacked and should have been fixed a LONG time ago, and I today found an extra tubing coming off my duct in basement that was never capped off, thus rendering my entire system basically non functional -- at least very wasteful..... I cannot believe this has been for 7 years and Hotzople NEVER once checked for any duct work issues, or anything or ran any tests, I was systematically blown off, these guys do they BARE Minimum and ONLY care about collecting their yearly $s for maintenance. I highly suggest everyone EDUCATE yourself about HVAC before hiring ANYONE, these companies anymore have become greedy, they don't care. I was also told I had issues with my old system, but never was 'shown' WHAT those issues were fully. I was booked for that Monday! The day of my appointment, I was called several hours before my appointment to say they had an earlier than expected time slot and wanted to know if they could come now. Unfortunately I couldn't do earlier than scheduled but appreciated them asking! My time slot was 4-6 pm. They showed up at 4:05! Wow! I can't tell you how many times companies give time slots and show up hours AFTER the time frame. But not Markool! They are on it! Jorge and Jose were my technicians. They were both very friendly and went right to diagnosing the issue. After about 30 minutes, they figured out I needed Freon. I asked the pricing and they had a tablet to look up the pricing right away. If you need Freon be warned it's expensive! Not this company's fault though it seems to be commonly expensive when I looked online out of curiosity. These two technicians were knowledgeable and explained everything. They were super polite as well. They emailed me my invoice with pictures of everything they did today. I highly recommend Markool for your cooking needs!

Then, they tell me that it's $149 plus $20 per foot of the chimney. That's not what the stated cost was, and the supervisor says "well we charge what we charge." I told him to leave. This is bad faith business, and it wasted a truckload of my time today. This is not how to win projects, and you should not win anymore bids if this is how you choose to do business.

I spoke with the owner, Dave, and it was clear that he knew exactly what he was doing. He was calm, knowledgeable, and reassuring, which helped us feel less overwhelmed. Dave got us on the schedule right away, which was such a relief. He reviewed the basement, provided us with a reasonably-priced quote and we gave him our business. He and his team arrived promptly and got right to work. Using specialized equipment, they were able to pinpoint the source of the leak. They carefully removed our water-damaged sofa along with several bags of damaged items, and they did it all with care and efficiency. They then sealed off the affected area with plastic sheeting and neatly removed the damaged drywall. Dave set up industrial fans and a dehumidifier to dry everything out over the course of several days, staying in communication with us the entire time and periodically stopping by to monitor progress. Dave is not only professional, but also has a good sense of humor and is easy to talk to. He was quick to respond to texts and answered all my questions clearly and thoroughly.
