We had a broken water dispenser on our refrigerator, a gas burner that wasn't working and a light fixture that wouldn't stay on in the vent hood over our cooktop. Mohammed was able to fix the burner immediately and had to order parts for the other repairs. He came out less than a week later with the parts and had us back in business quickly. Additionally, while he was here, we noticed that our "Instant Hot" under the sink was leaking. He identified the problem and because he was going out of town, found the part for us online to order and told us it would be easy enough for us to repair. (It was). He calls to schedule and then called about 45 minutes ahead of his arrival to let us know he was on the way. He is neat, friendly and extremely well versed in different appliance repairs. I would not use this company, twice now, I called and said that I had an issue that I thought was not the appliance but connections to the appliance. Instead of asking quesitons and confirming if they could do the work, they said they would take a look, came out, charged for a service and said that they could not help. A total waste of time and money. i would avoid them. They are dishonest. read more

They gave us a very quick appointment, showed up when promised, diagnosed the problem quickly and no part needed. "Someone" in our family left a plastic doggie bag in their pocket which made its way to a location which prevented our washer from spinning fast enough to drain the water out of our clothes. The errant bag was removed, adjustments made and our washing machine working 100% again, very professional service technician, plus he was friendly with several other cute washing machine stories. Our dryer stopped working and we had two loads of wet laundry. We called Ascend Appliance late on a Friday afternoon, and Mohammed answered immediately and said he was already in the neighborhood and could he come over in 15 min. I feel like Christmas came early! Our built-in GE Monogram refrigerator and microwave/convection oven have consistently given us problems for 8 of the 13 years we've had them. We had totally given up on the refrigerator. After so many repairs, it just stopped cooling...again. The microwave had already had 2 magnetrons. And here we were again. (Why is it that $25 microwaves seem to last forever??) But Mohammed from Ascend Appliances saved us. He came on time, quickly assessed the problems, had the necessary parts with him, and repaired both appliances, which are now working like new. What a great repairman! I called Ascend Appliance repair to fix a stackable Frigidare washer/dryer. The dryer had stopped spinning and I thought at 7 years old it was time for a new one. It didn't help that we have it in a tight space and getting it in and out is always a problem. Mo came out and did a fantastic job of repairing it for a great price. He was knowledgeable, respectful and got it fixed in no time flat. He also put it back in the cubby where it barely fits. I highly recommend him! Great job, couldn't be happier! read more

We've used Ascend a few times -- they are hands down the best. Mo is a one man shop but always responsive, even willing to come after hours. Beyond that, he is a kind, decent and nice guy. Fair prices, great value. And quite honest -- he will let you know if you're better off just replacing the appliance rather than repairing it through him. He passed up a big washer repair job with us once, telling us we were better off replacing the unit rather than spending more money on the old one. This kind of honesty is rare in a business that often seems focused on jacking up the price with extra charges, rather than actually helping you get your stuff fixed quickly.
