Not what I remembered. Ordered the nachitos grande to go. The beef colorado on it was good but the chips and cheese were microwaved, so the chips were hard to eat. Also the extra guac I ordered and sauce was forgotten. So it was pretty dry. read more

I'm glad this place is 700 miles away...otherwise I would be eating here every meal of the day.... I Stopped on Thursday going up north, and again Sunday passing through south. This place is so fricken good. I went to this place a few years ago as I passed through St. Cloud and now go out of my way each time I'm in MN to make a stop at Bravo. The burritos are huge, the tastiest and most flavorful, and the price is spot on where it should be for a burrito this good. Oh my oh my, how I love this place. Very reasonable prices. Very quick service. This is the literally the best Mexican place I have eaten at so far in Minnesota. It is a little out of my way but I will make time to get there whenever I can. The service is very nice and you are able to sit and eat while enjoying your meal. Is this a fine dining establishment? Mediocre burritos. Ordered two burritos and two kids burritos and some salsa for the chips. The salsa came in tiny containers. They should have a free salsa bar! Chips were pretty tasty. I'm throwing this statement out immediately. This review is going to be convoluted and there's no other way around it. Bravo has been in my life for 30 years. I used to ditch school assemblies to run over for lunch. I'd beg my Dad to drive me and friends over there on Friday nights and he'd give me a blank signed check to pay for it. (Early 90s) In college I was afraid the owner would retire or die and Bravo would cease to exist. It's common practice for my high school friends to post a picture of the bag of burritos on Facebook whenever one of us is back home just to taunt the other out of towners. Seriously, a burrito joint should never be held in such high esteem. But it is. Now is going to be the moment when I feel like I'm kicking a friend. Dear old friend (Bravo Burrito), what's going on? The last few years my visits have been lack luster. Like you didn't care whether I came at all. Is there something wrong? You aren't even close to the joint you used to be. Why isn't your rice cooked? Why do your chips taste store bought? Why is my burrito only rice and cheese? I miss the red salsa and I miss the flavor. I want my friend back. This hurts to say all of these unfortunate truths. I won't give up completely because you're important to me but what kind of fan would I be if I perpetrated your downslide into total mediocrity? I've gone to eat here three times just hoping that I would find something palatable as my boyfriend loves going there out of tradition. I've tried many dishes but all the meat have that strong metallic taste to it, they claim they use fresh meat so naturally this is even a greater cause for concern. The restaurant is dirty which shouldn't come as much of a surprise as it's located in a trashy strip mall. If you're looking for something close, stop by Taco Bell, at least you won't be throwing away around ten bucks for something you can't stomach! read more

Best burritos in town hands down and they now take plastic.

I have visited Bravo twice while spending time in St. Cloud and have been fairly unimpressed with the meals. While I can't vouch for the meat burritos, but the vegetarian burritos were quite dismal; filled with mushy carrots and overcooked rice. My partner had the fish burrito which had a sickeningly sweet pineapple sauce that I found vaguely nauseating. On the bright side, the service has always been very friendly and helpful. read more

If every Mexican restaurant is closed, only then would I suggest food from Bravo Burritos. The person at the register miscalculated my order, and then it took 26 minutes for 2 men to make 2 burritos and put chips in a bag. The food was okay... but it was luke warm, the lettuce was slimy, the guacamole's only flavor was avocado, and the chips were mediocre. On a road trip and needed dinner. There are a surprising number of Mexican places along route 75 and yelp helped us choose this one. Admittedly, we still had pretty low expectations, so this 3.5 stars is partly in the context of where we were and what we expected. The chicken mole flavor was milder and not as complex as I prefer, but still tasty -- the chicken itself was incredibly moist. The veggie burrito was lovely, though there were a couple bits of almost raw veggies (potatoes maybe?) in the rice. The picante sauce was surprisingly picante. Very overrated. Having lived next to the border for the last ten years. I feel I have a good idea of authentic Mexican food and American Mexican food. This is neither. It's imitation burritos and the ingredients follow suit. The use of iceberg lettuce gave them away but the lack of seasoning and flavor was a total bummer. It doesn't help that these are overpriced in a middle ground market like st.cloud. Many places charge less and give more for your dollar. Great place to go for some mexican food and an adult beverage. Kind of a dive, but food is great. Staff is always very good. The margaritas are awesome (the "Jumbo"). They have a variety of meats to choose from, all are seasoned differently with unique flavors. I really like mexican food and they do have some awesome, unique flavors. If you want to sample a few different meats try the muchos nachos, you can pick three different ones. The nachos are huge, I bet you can't eat it by yourself!
