Me and my girlfriend went out for dinner here and were not impressed. The salsa was very salty and the sauce on the enchiladas looked like gravy. Overall it did not taste good and was expensive

Wish I read reviews here before I had fajitas on the brain. Sat outside -pleasant night but people were smoking and vaping in the eating area. Sticky dirty menu. Ordered a margarita (best part of the meal even though it was weak and allegedly patron). Ordered the shrimp fajitas with guacamole and queso. When you receive your fajitas anywhere, part of the enjoyment is getting a plate of fresh sizzling hot food. Not here. Not one sizzle and shrimp looking half cooked. Guacamole was packaged and plastic tasting. Salsa was decent. Queso was marginal. Worst part was seeing the uncleaned shrimp. Stopped acting at that point!! I do not recommend and will not return.

Everything about this restaurant screams Mexican restaurant, and (worst of all), kind of Mexican stereotype. Lots of Coronoa stuff, lots of bright lights and sombrero type decor. In all very kitschy and over the top. The drink menu is large and very Mexican themed -- Tecate, Dos Equis, Negro Modelo, drinks that come in fish bowls and lots of options that end in "-arita." That said, the drinks seemed pretty solid, and I did appreciate that my Tecate came with a lime without me asking. Food-wise the menu is almost overwhelming it is so big. There seems to be a smattering of everything Mexican you might want -- salad, guacamole, enchiladas, tacos, etc. You can order pretty much anything you can think of in any combination you can think of. I ordered the dos enchiladas platter, which came with two enchiladas, beans, rice and the general sour cream, lettuce, tomato smattering. The ground beef enchilada was actually my favorite. Flavorful and nicely textured. The pulled beef was kind of dry and not as flavorful. All came smothered in this white sauce that actually in an odd way reminded me of a bechamel. It was fairly tasty, but not exactly Mexican in my book. I did enjoy that they brought free chips and salsa to the table right away (though my friend did comment that they seemed to be tortilla chips out of a bag rather than homemade, and I think she is correct.) One very positive note: Our waiter, Matt W., per my receipt, was excellent. Accommodating in every which way. We really appreciated his attentiveness and thoughtfulness and willingness to go the extra mile to make sure we had everything we possibly needed.

I've been coming here for years for lunch with coworkers, it has a nice comfortable and unique vibe. The food is always great and portions are just right, they are fairly priced and have great service.

Our waitress, Kim G., seemed unfamiliar with the menu and had to ask others for help with several questions. (Including if they had sparkling water) Our food arrived cold, drinks went without refills, and the hot sauce we requested multiple times didn't arrive until we were nearly finished eating. With such a slow dining room, the lack of attentiveness was surprising. The overall experience felt disorganized and disappointing. I'll give her some grace, maybe she was new or maybe she had very poor training. I don't think the tip she received was remotely deserved.

Of course the enchiladas came with the rice and refried beans. I really enjoyed my meal. The steak fajitas came with the refried beans and condiments, but no rice. First time I saw the fajitas came with no rice. The fajitas was tasty and plenty from the lunch menu. Each person received their own salsa, first time eating at a Mexican restaurant that each person received their own salsa. Which was great! The salsa had a warmth to it, not mild or hot. Tasty! Our server checked on us often and refilled our sodas. One of the best servers (sorry I don't know his name) we had for a while.

And these are not wimpy tacos. These are generous sized tacos, generous sides and a generous salsa bar. There is minor confusion when you walk in because the restaurant and grocery store occupy the same space. You order at the food counter but you don't pay until AFTER you finish the meal. Seating is around the corner, tucked away. Also note these tacos take time. It's not the order and you get your meal right away. Expect to sit around 10 minutes or so before your food arrives but it's worth it because it's so good and filling. The ambiance is no frills and sparse but if you can overlook that and just enjoy the tacos, this place is worth a visit.

There wasn't anyone working in the kitchen so I used my Spanish and asked if I could order. The gentleman seemed bothered but made my two tacos. I'm not sure if there's certain lunch times but I went around 2pm. He then had the female worker ring me up. Pleas note they take cards for a minimum of $8. Plan ahead everyone. She was very nice. I got a carnitas and a barbacoa taco. Both were pretty good. No complaints. Each came with onion and cilantro on top. It also came with garnishes of radish lime and salsas. Great prices. Great meats.
