I found a new reason to love Bravo Burritos yesterday. Two words: Fish tacos. The place was extremely busy at lunchtime with at least 10 people consistently standing in line to order just before noon. There was the owner, in his trademark bright shirt, ringing up customers at the cash register. This is just one reason why I love locally owned businesses. With it being a Friday, fish was the meat of choice, and am I glad it was! I've had fish tacos at several establishments, but none as tasty as these. I received two soft shell tortillas. Each contained crispy cod, coleslaw, pickled red onions, and a tangy sauce. On the side was yellow rice, black beans, and tortilla chips. I filled each taco with some of the side items so that it was jammed and impossible to eat without making a mess. The fish was crispy, the mixture of flavors so delicious that I could contemplate switching to fish tacos year-round if they were available. Bravo Burritos knows how to do them right. read more

This place thrives more on nostalgia, than the quality of their food or service. While it has more variation than the other chain big burrito chain locations, it has does not necessarily have better quality food. That being said, it has a nice welcoming layout... If only the staff were as welcoming. I've found the staff, which has appeared to turn around more frequently (as of Kate) have become progressively rude and impatient. As if you, the customer, are an inconvenience. There sad an incredibly kind woman manager who had been there forever, however, I have not seen her in ages. She has been the only exception in quality customer service. If you go, I recommend the mole. It is pretty excellent. If you order a burrito, get it smothered. Avoid the fajitas (they are overpriced and not very good). read more

This place is cute. I have been hearing about Bravo since my sister in law became part of our family all those years ago. She, and my brother rave about this place, so J and I had to stop and try one. Burritos are quite large and filling and really reasonably priced. Both of us really enjoy burritos bursting at the seams with ingredients. Nice selections. Staff was very helpful and really friendly with that small town flare personality which is nice to see and makes a visit a little more personable versus being rushed through an assembly line burrito line. This is a good local spot in town that is an alternative to Chipotle. I got a shrimp burrito, which was a bit spicy but huge and pretty inexpensive.Decor is minimal and not very fancy but they serve alcohol at least. Being that I am in Southern California right now for work...I can't say it is the best burrito I have had or anywhere close to that, but the menu has a good selection of items and it was very close to my hotel which is why I gave it an extra star. read more

Burritos are something I take seriously, so with a name of Bravo Burrito I had high expectations. Glad to report they were met! I went during a lunch rush and the staff notably worked as a team to get everyone in and out fast! I ordered a Chicken Verde Burrito Delux to go and was totally satisfied! The chicken was so juicy, the verde salsa had good flavor and a touch of heat. All of the components of the burrito had great flavor and worked well together. They package the burrito in a small paper bag, and give you a small side of tortilla chips next to it. I've been getting into the Fajita Nachos lately, but the last time wasn't as good, so I decided to go for a Fajita Burrito. Nope. Not enough flavor. My kids decided they both wanted crispy tacos. They both thought they were soggy. My son ordered his without lettuce, and I even went back to make sure I ordered it right. They came with lettuce. He won't eat them like that. I think the restaurant visually is nothing special and the menu can be a tad intimidating at first look but once you take a bite of their food it's all worth it. Do NOT order fajitas. Paid $14.95 for the platter and got a small portion of re-warmed chicken accompanied by a bit of beans and rice + shredded lettuce. Not a fajita veg (grilled peppers, onions, etc.) in sight... which is the definition of fajita. No sizzling was heard in the kitchen... just the sound of a microwave. This place is a hidden gem of the vast Saint Cloud food scene. When one discusses the Mexican food options available, Bravo is hardly ever brought up when in actuality it should be the number one choice. I'm always amazed at how successful this establishment has been considering their horrific location. Bravo is based in a small strip mall buried behind a busy road, but the food is worth the awful locale. Bravo can be a bit intimidating at first for new customers. You walk in and are immediately greeted by the front counter and their large menu of numerous delicious options. If you're not sure what to get PLEASE ask the employees, they're knowledgeable and will not make you feel like an idiot if you're not sure what to get. Once you make your choice you grab a seat around the back where they have a full bar and ample seating. Considering the popularity of this eatery they are usually very quick with getting their orders out, and the portion sizes are tremendous. Massive delicious portions that don't lack quality just because they're big and affordable. I highly recommend this place if you're in the area. read more

One of a kind, and an all-time favorite. Among the greatest Mexican food I've ever had, and I've had a lot. Bravo's isn't fancy but great fun and great food. It's NOT your typical Tex-Mex, but nor is it purely authentic Mexican; It's Bravos! The menu can be a bit intimidating to noobs, as it's a deli approach where you order at the counter and they bring it to your table. The servers will help with samples -- don't be shy! My faves are taco mexicano w/pork verde; taco Americano or deluxe burrito w/chorizo; and chicken fajitas burrito. I've had most everything on the menu and it's all good. Just kind of depends on what you like. One nice thing is the meat is always great quality but not cookie cutter monotonous. Your chorizo might be spicier one day than it will be another day, and that's a good thing. Bravo's is a rare gem! My wife an I have enjoyed it since they opened in the '80s. It's remained just as good as it always was, and the menu has expanded slowly over the years. Lots of good things here; take some time to figure out what's your favorite. I have been à Bravo Burrito customer since attending SCSU in 1990. I usually order the basic chicken mole and have it with their veggie rice. The rice includes carrots, green beans, potato chunks and corn and its very tasty. The burritos are huge and fill you up so you can get by as this only meal of the day for you. They are wrapped in foil so you must peel the foil down as you eat it not remove all the foil at once or you'll have à mess. The reason for four stars out of five is the bland guacamole my sister and I ordered with chips. There was no seasoning, salt, lemon or anything. Just buy the packet in the produce dept to take the easy route. Bravo Burritos guac was basically just mashed up avocados. These are the best Burritos you will find anywhere. Plenty of Homemade recipe meats to choose from, homemade sauces, nachos, etc.... I've been eating here and coming back since they opened 30 years ago. If you like places like Chipotles, you will love this place. read more

Decided to give Bravo Burritos a try tonight. Went there with one of my buddies. I ordered the Carne Burrito plate. My buddy ordered the 3 meat burrito. As I watched them make my order I notice they grabbed a small tortilla (maybe an 8" shell) and I watch the other employee start to make my buddies burrito (12" shell). After I receive my order I ask why my "burrito" is on such a small tortilla. I am told that it is basically an enchilada and I got the same amount of food as my buddy but mine is in a box. My "burrito" was $10.95, my buddies burrito was $7.45. Yes I did get rice and beans along with some lettuce and sour cream but my buddy also got rice and beans (they were in the burrito). My so called burrito is nothing more than a taco shell with some meat in it and some cheese on top. Very disappointed. Will not be back ever again. Feel like I was taken advantage of. read more

Excellent food, great people and decent prices. For about 6 bucks I got a supreme chicken verde burrito at the recommendation of the friendly staff behind the counter. It was at least a pound and delicious. Wrapped in tin foil that doubles as a plate when you unwrap it, the thing was packed with beans, rice, and a chicken mixture. Goood stuff. They're unique as well in that you pay for your meal at the counter first and have it served to you at your table. In short: eat here. It's worth every penny and I'll definately be back to try some of their other dishes in the near future. read more

I've moved to San Diego, but I always visit Bravo Burrito when I'm home visiting family. My go to is the burrito with chicken verde. The chicken is so tender it just melts in your mouth. Set it on its side. That's the diameter of these monstrous tasty meals. No need for silverware. It's all in the shell. I like Mexican food this place satisfied my thirst. When you order you can see through the front glass counter windows you can see all the healthy ingredients place your order. Take a number. Fins a seat. Your food arrives shortly after. I am obsessed with Bravo Burrito. It is a billion times better than chipotle or qdoba or any of that chain garbage. I have searched for another independent burrito place everywhere I've lived that's nearly as good and have never matched it - even authentic taco-truck burritos aren't as good (though they have a charm of their own). I always get the burrito with refried beans, rice, cheese, and Beef Colorado with the jalapeno hot sauce. It is incredible. In the past I have tried the chorizo and the shredded beef, but always come back to Beef Colorado. The flavor is out of this world, and the beef is incredibly tender. You can tell it's been slow cooked for hours - not just plopped on the grill without seasoning like at Chipotle. You can get the burrito in mini for a dollar less if you want something a bit lighter, and if you get the "deluxe" you get lettuce, tomato, and sour cream instead of beans. I prefer getting a side salad for veg rather than putting it in the burrito but to each their own. read more

Seeing as how this restaurant was #1 on TripAdvisor, it was on my list of places to try when in the St. Cloud area. Luckily, my girlfriend's parents go here every Wednesday, so we were able to join them. I went here with a family friend who happens to have a medical service dog, on the 8th of August. We waited in line and when it came our turn to order the women taking orders declared "you need to take the dog outside," we responded with no it's a service dog it's allowed in where the owner is. Another staff member jumped in and said "services dogs have to be labeled a service dog" we pointed out the dogs service dog vest and corrected his false statement. The original women then went on to say we HAD to eat outside. We let her know that was an illegal request that but not to worry because we had no plans of staying to eat inside. Now had we not promised the youngest kiddo this very food I would have left at this point, but given the pandemic and the added precautions people are taking we figured it was just a mix up. We ordered and waited for our food. As we waited a manager came out to again to insist that we outside, we reiterated we were taking the food to go and again informed her that it was a legal to make such a request even during a pandemic. Her response was "it's not about the pandemic it's about keeping the health department happy" my friend was very polite and let her know that in sterns county the health department is in full support of service animals and respecting the federal law. I held in a comment about the fact that staff including her, looked to be a manager were wearing medical masks they had cut all but one layer out of making them see through. In what I would argue is violation of the health departments mask ordinance. Non the less we did report the incident to the state, but wanted to let people who have disabilities know this might not be the place for you. The food was okay, not very flavorful or authentic as they boast. In general the staff was pretty rude to other guests including yelling from the register at guests who were adjusting their masks. Would skip on your next trip. Not worth the $53 we spent. read more

Large menu....lots of food for your money. They are vegetarian friendly if you request it and have options already in the menu. They have a bar and play some awesome authentic mexican music! If you like this place you probably think that Chipotle is kind of lame. This place is infused with flavor and so is their food. They have a bar, too, and tend to be generous with the alcohol...if that's your thing. Well, I'd probably have my last meal from this place so I'm not in a position to write the best review of it, I'm sure. I just love it. I live and grew up in L.A., but my wife is from St. Cloud. She always makes sure we go to Bravo's at least once, every time we go to visit her mom near Brainerd. I grew up with plenty of Mexican food available obviously, and I have no complaints about Bravo. I actually wished we had a similar restaurant or chain here in L.A. where you could get a quick and good burrito like this. I mean, we have Chipotle and Qdoba chains (not sure if you have those in St. Cloud), but Bravo's is better. First time I had it, I guess I was kinda surprised MN has pretty good Mexican food anywhere, let alone a town of about 70k. :) read more

I wish I could claim to eat here every week. Still, living two hours away, I feel I'm a loyal customer. If I'm in town, or even passing by on I-94, I try to make a stop at Bravo Burritos and have done so since the late '80s. Close to 30 years ago, the owner recommended the Combo Burrito and that's my usual, giving the opportunity to try different meats. Today, it was the chorizo, chicken verde, and carnitas. We have close family in St.Cloud and we love going to Bravo Burrito often! The atmosphere is "bar" but the food is great! Everyone loves the burritos as do I but find them too much to eat. Tried the chicken quesadilla last time and it was delicious but sure would have loved some lettuce, sour cream and salsa on top but guess I forgot to order them as sides. Still very good! Would order again and so would the family order their burritos again. One ordered shredded beef nachos and loved them! Staff could be more pleasant but they are very busy! Forget Chipotle... Over priced and poor selection of fillers for your burrito. This place had like 8 different meats alone to choose from. I choose a 3 meat combo burrito and it was delicious. I don't even remember the meats I got but they were all good. The burrito was large but not overwhelming. It filled me up but yet I wanted more when I was done. BEWARE if you have a burrito you may become addicted. I believe they sprinkle a little crack in each burrito to keep you coming back. This has been a favorite of mine since I was a kid and WAY too little to eat the ginormous burritos. Consistently great, authentic food...the flavor is outstanding! Almost everything is prepared fresh from scratch including the meats which is hard to find and they are locally owned. Chicken verde burrito is always my fave. Its great place because its fast, fresh food where you can dine in and enjoy a margarita with you meal or take your order to go to enjoy at home. Located in a strip mall adjacent to an Arby's so keep an eye out. And its not a huge space, but cozy and decorated in fun, chincy fashion. My absolute favorite Mexican! I grew up in this area and have always loved the Chicken Mole smothered burrito. Chicken Mole is meant to be simmered is the flavors cook though and the chicken is super tender... if by chance you even find Chicken Mole on a menu in most Mexican restaurants, it is simply poured over an otherwise flavorless skinless chicken breast... even after living in Houston now for almost 4 years and traveling the USA for business the last 15 Year's, this is hands down my absolute favorite place for Mexican....and I always order the same Chicken Mole Smothered Burrito plate....kudos to the decades of consistently excellent food!!!! read more
