Customer service is a huge part of any business, and based on my most recent visit as well as a few previous one I left feeling disappointed. I genuinely enjoy this place and want to keep coming back, so I hope management takes a closer look at the customer experience and holds staff to a higher standard. The bar has a lot of potential, but the service needs to match the quality of the drinks.

Liz was bartending and made some fantastic Bloody Mary's, as well as an intoxicating "Big Stick" cocktail that took me back to the Caribbean. There's an e-cocktail menu board behind the bar that goes through pictures of their offerings. Drink prices are very reasonable. They don't serve food, but you're welcome to bring something in or have it delivered. Plenty of parking is available on street, or in a city lot, but there are several restaurants/bars and other businesses in the immediate area.

When I looked at the photos I knew this was a place that would give me exactly what I was looking for and without hesitation I made a reservation. They are currently offering an amazing prix fixe meal where you get their fantastic focaccia bread, a starter to share, two pastas and a dessert to share. This was an easy choice since it allowed us to try multiple things on their menu and we could gauge what they had to offer. The focaccia is a must have and cannot be skipped. It comes out piping hot with their house made butter and marinated sweet peppers that have a sauce that can be drank by the glass if you give me the chance. We moved on to the meatball starters which were unbelievable. Two large meatballs cooked perfectly and accompanied by a sauce that felt like it was designed to have the focaccia dipped in it. We got two different pastas, the lumache and the torchetti and both were cooked wonderfully. I love a good al dente, especially on house made pasta. In the middle of the meal I stopped and began thinking how an amazing place is doing nestled inside an unassuming area and how they landed on this location. I found out the proprietor was there and had to ask her process. When I was eating the pasta I compared it to another very delicious and reputable Italian restaurant in pasadena and it felt wayyy too close for me to figure out how this quality matched so well. To my surprise, she was the owner of that said restaurant as well and it all made sense from there. That really have created an amazing space here from the ambiance to the decor to the food. Everything top to bottom just felt right. I will be returning (sooner rather than later) to check out the remainder of the menu and see what other fun things they offer. Also, the tiramisu is amazing with the sea salt topping.

Parking is either on the street or in a large public lot next door. SERVICE: Rosie waited on us again and the service she and the rest of the wait staff provided was very good. The issue, I believe, was with the kitchen (see below under FOOD). DRINKS: Full bar with fresh cocktails and the classics, as well as a decent wine list. Non-alcoholic selections available too. Once again, we ordered a couple Orange Fashioned ($16) cocktails, but this time we received them, and they were delicious. Unfortunately, on our last visit, this was the forgotten item that we ordered and never received. We also ordered a glass of Nebbiolo ($17) which we stated that we were going to share. I'm used to a 5 oz. pour for a glass, and it seemed like we received only half a glass (see my picture). Wine glasses are stemless, which is not my favorite, but okay. NOTE: They do allow you to bring your own wine. Corkage fee is $30/bottle or waived if you also purchase a bottle from them. FOOD: We started with the Focaccia plate ($14) with cultured butter and pickled peppers, so good. The plates are easily shareable, so we then ordered the Charred Octopus ($26), the Bucatini Caccio E Pepe ($24), and the 16 oz. New York Steak ($52). Unfortunately, we never received our NY Steak. This is the most expensive menu item and should be the easiest to make. I assume that it was just forgotten by the kitchen staff, as I know that Rosie had taken the order correctly. They do a good job of timing out the food courses, and everything had fresh ingredients and was very flavorful. Apart from the missing steak, the food was so good. Overall, the food is delicious, but they need to work on their service and communication between the wait staff, bar, and kitchen. The manager did adjust our check for the error they made, and I'm willing to give them one more try as I really enjoy the food and atmosphere.

I didn't eat a single bite of it. My wife's steak arrived medium-well, and her side of rice was completely dry. The bottle of red wine we ordered from their very small wine list was served warm. When we declined having the steak re-fired or free dessert, we finished our wine and asked for the check. The $62 inedible steak was still on the bill, so I asked to speak with the owner. When I calmly explained the issues, the owner became angry that I didn't want the steak redone and walked away mid-conversation. He eventually came back, removed the $62 steak, and told us he didn't want us back in his restaurant. To top it off, for an establishment charging fine-dining prices where guests dress up, the owner was wearing shorts and sneakers. One chance is all a restaurant gets to make a good impression. Lincoln House missed the mark completely. We will not be returning.

While we were waiting, I repeatedly watched people call Jorge. He would come outside, greet them, and bring them straight inside. I personally saw this happen at least six different times. When it was finally our turn to speak with the host, we were told there were no seats left, that we would have to stand, and that we wouldn't even be able to order food. I confronted Jorge about letting those other groups in ahead of everyone else. His response was that he knew them personally and that they were friends of the restaurant owners. That explanation only made the situation worse. My wife had just finished a 14-hour hospital shift, and we came here hoping to enjoy the game together. Instead, we spent three hours waiting only to be treated as though our time didn't matter. What was most shocking was Jorge's attitude. He literally told me, "They won't do anything to me if you post this. I'm friends with the owner." If that's the mindset of management, it's no surprise customers are treated this way. It truly felt like only friends and family received special treatment while everyone else was left waiting without honesty or respect. I have no issue waiting when things are busy, but I do expect transparency, fairness, and professionalism. Unfortunately, this experience showed none of those qualities.

I was invited out by one of their headline DJs--someone I've known for many years--so I was genuinely excited and looking forward to spending the evening at Bravado. Unfortunately, my visit ended much sooner than expected due to a situation involving a member of the staff. While I was disappointed by the outcome and didn't particularly like how the situation affected my night, I do want to give credit where it's due. The staff members who spoke with me were respectful, professional, and handled what was clearly an uncomfortable situation in a calm manner. My biggest frustration wasn't with the conversation itself, but with the fact that the situation could have been avoided entirely with better communication beforehand. Having your evening cut short shortly after arriving is never a great feeling, especially when you were invited there and looking forward to supporting friends and enjoying the event. That being said, from what I experienced, Bravado has a great atmosphere, strong energy, and clearly puts effort into creating a quality environment for its guests. The venue looked fantastic, the crowd was lively, and there was a lot of positive energy in the room. Even though I didn't agree with how things unfolded and left disappointed, I can separate my personal experience from the venue itself. The staff remained professional, and I have respect for the work the team is doing to build a successful nightlife destination. I would absolutely be open to returning in the future, and I believe that with a little more communication upfront, situations like mine can easily be avoided. Bravo to Bravados! This is truly a hidden gem and a great newer addition to Downtown Covina. We visited Bravados tonight and honestly didn't know what to expect, but we're so glad we gave it a try. From the moment we walked through the velvet black curtains into the classy speakeasy-style atmosphere with dim lighting, it felt like stepping into a completely different experience. The space is cozy, elegant, and has that upscale feel without being over the top. What made it even more impressive is that the restaurant is still fairly new, only about 6 months old, and they're already creating an experience that feels polished and well established. The food was amazing and truly gave the feeling of dining at a high-end, 5-star restaurant. This is the kind of spot Covina needed. A special shoutout to our server, Juan, who was attentive, welcoming, and provided excellent service throughout the evening. The level of service made the experience feel worth every penny. I ordered the Carbonara Classico with shrimp and I'm so glad I did, it was absolutely delicious, rich, and beautifully prepared. Every bite felt thoughtful and elevated while still being comforting. Bravado is the kind of local pub you hope to find but rarely do. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and the staff made us feel like regulars. We started with the frites, and they were absolutely fantastic--honestly better than the originals we had in Belgium. Crispy, perfectly seasoned, and the ideal way to kick off the meal. The rest of the food was just as impressive, clearly prepared with care and attention to detail. What really set the experience apart was the service. Our hostess, Gwenn, was friendly, welcoming, and incredibly helpful in getting us settled and making recommendations. At the bar, Robert and Sky were hands down spot on. They were attentive without hovering, quick with drinks, and kept the whole place running smoothly while still making time to engage with guests. Bravado is exactly the kind of upper-scale restaurant this area needs. We are surrounded by sports bars and Mexican eateries, so it's refreshing to finally have something different and elegant in the neighborhood. I've watched the owners build this place from the ground up and have seen firsthand the sweat, time, and sacrifice it took to bring such a beautiful establishment to our community. So, Billy B, I don't understand the anger or hostility in your comments. Saying "we have to close this place before it opens" is completely uncalled for and reflects poorly on your class and character. My husband called 3-4 weeks in advance and spoke with Carlos to make a reservation. Following that call, we attempted several times to confirm the reservation by phone and left multiple messages, none of which were returned. Ultimately, my husband went to the location in person and was informed that our reservation was not on record. Reliable communication is essential in the hospitality industry, and this lack of follow-up caused unnecessary stress and inconvenience. This is not somewhere you pop in wearing flip flops and tank tops and I'm grateful for that! The dress code and overall ambiance sets a standard for patrons. This is the perfect place for those of us who appreciate a relaxing dining and drinks experience and want to get dressed up for fancy date night. Very classy! People being turned away claim it's because of hats, sunglasses, lack of business casual attire, etc. However, some are also bringing up race. They have lots of seating space and a full length bar stocked . Apparently they have Mariachis and a brunch buffet in sundays and a live dj on Friday and Saturday nights. I'd love to come back and check it out. There is plenty of parking On all of my reviews I am going to mention one thing they can improve on (constructive criticism): I've had better rice.

About five minutes later, a bartender came over and asked if I wanted something to drink. I told him I still hadn't received my food yet and asked if he knew what I had ordered. He said, "No, I just got here," so I pointed to the other employee who had taken my order. After waiting nearly 30 more minutes, I still hadn't received either my soda or my meal. I finally walked up to the bartender, and he said he was busy. About 10 minutes later, he brought my soda but never apologized for the delay or acknowledged the long wait. Another 15 minutes passed, and I had still not received my food. I flagged him down again, and he asked, "What did you order?" I reminded him that I had ordered from the other employee. I waited another 10 minutes with no food. At that point, it had been almost an hour since I ordered, so I finally got the attention of the employee who originally took my order. He simply said, "OK, OK." As I write this review, it's 4:02 PM, and I still have not received my food. I understand places get busy, but the lack of communication, follow-up, and even a simple apology made this a very frustrating experience. I came here to enjoy the game, but instead spent most of the first half wondering if my order had been forgotten.

Our server took over 10 minutes just to greet us, and the wait for our food was even worse. Charging $15.95 for a BLTA and then charging extra for tomato is already ridiculous -- only for them to come back another 10 minutes later to tell me they were out of multiple items anyway. Once the food finally arrived, the server never checked on us again. We had to flag someone down ourselves just to get the check. I didn't catch her name because she barely introduced herself in the first place. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place on a Saturday afternoon. The service was awful, the staff seemed uninterested, and the food definitely wasn't worth the price.
