This hidden gem just recently opened in my neighborhood. I had no reservations and was able to get a seat at the Bar, was the best for me cause that where all the fun at. Amazing experience..... Absolutely love the ambiance 100/100 Enrique the Bartender I asked him to make me something with Rye Whiskey and berries He Delivered ! My new best friend. Food: Delicious... had the Bravado burger Juicy and the home made chips ,just fried just right, thin and perfectly crispy. The Cacio Pepe ,a must try dish pasta and salmon. Didn't disappoint. Served the perfect amount. I asked for my salmon Blackened. There was a Dj playing music ,I thought it was a little too loud for the space. Hopefully the manager will read this. Looking forward to coming back.

First time trying Bravado after its debut. I noticed in some of the comments, there was a way to make reservations, and found they're on Open Table. No issues with that option - lots of availability. We arrived a few minutes late (walked from home bc we're local) and were seated within 5 minutes. The interior is absolutely beautiful inside and the way they optimized the space was perfection. The long bar is central in the restaurant with one side enclosed and other side of the bar, open air and patio seating. Really beautiful and sets the mood for the evening. We ordered drinks (Dirty Martini for me, Red Wine for my husband), which took 30 fricken minutes to receive. Yes, I timed it. They have 2 bartenders, who work feverishly fast to whip out had crafted drinks. But dang, that is waay too long for drinks!! Hire a 3rd, please! We ordered the Stuffed Dates as an appetizer... which was pretty underwhelming. The presentation was questionable and the taste wasn't the best. They were split open with bacon crumbles, cheese crumbles and slivered bell peppers and green onions with a crisscross design of balsamic glaze in the center of the plate. Please, rethink this dish. It has the potential to be better. Stuff the dates with the cheese, wrap with bacon, drizzle that balsamic on top - lose the peppers and green onions. Despite the appearance, they were a till edible but could be excellent! We ordered a second round of drinks (same drinks, but I asked for a "Dirtier" Martini), and our entrees. I ordered the Beef Tartare and my husband ordered the Filet Mignon (medium rare). The drinks came out significantly quicker and my entree arrived within a few minutes. We then waited about 10-15 minutes for my husband's filet to come out. So again, this could be remedied if the kitchen works on their timing. Both entrees were absolutely delicious!! Honestly, that filet mignon was seasoned perfectly and cooked to perfection. My tartare was also seasoned perfectly and paired so well with the think potato chips and my martini. I was a very happy girl!! Overall the experience was great and our server, Destiny, was perfection. She was attentive and repeatedly came by to check on us and the food. Food was delicious and drinks were great. Shout out to the DJ for adding some beautiful dance music for the evening. Bravado is a breath of fresh air to the DT Covina night scene. I can't wait to see how they continue to making a lasting imprint for the city.

Absolutely amazing dinner and drinks! I celebrated a friend's bday here and was surprised by not only the amazing vibe but also the service and food. The drinks were a 10/10 and our steak dinner was phenomenal. Definitely the best steak that anyone can get in downtown Covina. Special shout to Destiny and Kike. Kike is one of the bartenders and has a great talent for making delicious creations. Highly recommend checking out this place.

I give them credit for bringing a little flair to Covina. This town was really in need of a place like this. It needs a little work though. The food. The lack of seasoning was quite pronounced. I had read a review right before making the reservation where the person noted that the food was "BEGGING " for seasoning. In every way that was true. It needed salt and some acid. The cacio de Pepe was incredibly bland. The tuna tartar was lacking the acidity that was described in the menu. The drinks were good. No complaints in that dept. The vibe was good, although a bit noisy. Our server was very nice but very busy. It took a while to get his attention. I'm not inclined to go back right away. I think there are a couple of other bars in the area that make better drinks. I'll probably wait for some of the hype to die down and for their food to settle in.

Welcome Bravado to the City of Covina. A lot of thought and careful planning went into the design of this elegant and unique restaurant. Note: Reservations are required; and, a dress code is enforced. Sports jerseys, caps or beach wear are not allowed. Follow these two tips and you should have no delay in getting in. Upon entry the host/hostess will check your name on the guest/ reservation list, then pull back the velvet curtain to escort you to your table. The main dining room is to the left, the cocktail bar to the right with high-top plush barstools. Once you pass this area, a dimly-lit private room (Speakeasy) is on the left with low couches and round coffee tables. We were led to a doorway on the right to the outdoor patio. The patio furnishing are very comfortable with custom Sunbrella upholstery cushions. Now to the main event, I was impressed with the "Tailor" themed menu (photos attached) featuring craft cocktails, small plates, and entrees, as follows: OPENING STITCH (Appetizers) - Bacon-wrapped Dates, Marinated Olives, Truffle Frites. THE "FITTINGS" COCKTAIL MENU: I ordered the Velvet Smoke - Mezcal, Egg White, Lavender Syrup, Lime. "MAIN CUT" (ENTREES): - Ahi Tuna - diced tuna with avocado, tomatoes, red onion, marinade and a side of house-made potato chips - Petite Filet Mignon with Whipped Potatoes and Zucchini spears. BRUNCH - Sunday morning/afternoon only (Omelets, French Toast, Egg Benedict, Monte Cristo, Bacon and Eggs, etc.). The price range is $15-$18 for cocktails and appetizers. Entrees $30-$50. I didn't notice the dessert menu. I guess I will have to go back for more! They do have live entertainment, call to get the schedule or follow them on social media. Sincerely, Rosemary

Visited Bravado on a Saturday night around 7:30pm with no reservation. There were 3 of us and we were told we could sit outside, which was fine with us. When you enter, there is an old timey sitting area with a bunch of old sewing machines. It was cute. We were led through a secret entrance and taken to our seats. Juan was our server and we LOVED his energy. The hostess suggested the lychee & linen before we entered, but none of us ended up ordering that. I had the Benjamin Button cocktail. It just tasted like lemon water. For $18, I was pretty disappointed. My friend loves old fashions, so she ordered the Bravado old fashion. She said it was too sweet and not much like an old fashion. She didn't taste the chocolate or cinnamon in it either. We used the restrooms before we left and they were clean and nicely decorated. When we went to leave, we were stopped and told we must exit through the back. The hostess or waiter should have told us this before hand so we didn't feel like we were in trouble. Over all, seems like a nice place for a date. I wouldn't recommend it for drinks with the girls because the drinks weren't that good. I'm glad we checked it out, but honestly probably won't be coming back again. Great concept though.

Wow we are so glad we found this established! It has to be the best place in downtown Covina. It's almost like a speak easy! The food is delicious and the drinks are amazingly good! Our server was Juan who has a wonderful personality and was very attentive! The bar tender was kiki and his drinks were amazingly good! The old fashion was one of the best old fashions Ive ever had and Carlos the owner was very Hospitable and made sure our visit was perfect! I highly recommend Bravado for a relaxing fantastic time! It's a very upbeat classic restaurant with lots to offer!

Came here for brunch and had a really good experience. The place has a nice vibeclean, a little upscale but still relaxed. Juan was our server and honestly made the whole visit. Super fun, a little extra in the best way, and just really personable. He had great recommendations and kept the energy up without being over the top. You can tell he actually enjoys what he does. Food was solid. I got the Eggs Benedict eggs were cooked right, hollandaise wasn't too heavy, and everything tasted fresh. Overall, great spot for a chill brunch, and Juan definitely made it even better. Would come back and ask for him again.

Such a lovely addition to downtown Covina. I was greeted by a nice hostess Gwen. Although I didn't get to try any of the food this time everything that was served to other guests looked delicious. A friend of mine recommended Bravado. So I recently took my wife for a date night out with no kids. My wife and I were both thoroughly impressed. The first thing that stood out was the atmosphere. It doesn't feel like your typical bar when you walk in. The lighting is low, the space feels a little hidden, and the whole place has a relaxed, speakeasy kind of vibe. It feels intentional and VERY different from most places around here.Both my wife and I thought we were in West LA or Orange County. It's nice to have an upscale local restaurant/bar that Covina desperately needed. Food wise we tried a few things and everything was really good. The lobster mac and cheese was probably the biggest surprise and my personal favorite. Rich and creamy but not overly heavy, and there was actually a good amount of lobster in it. Definitely one of those dishes you keep going back to even when you're already full. I also ordered the "Tailor's Cut" filet mignon, which was cooked perfectly. Tender, flavorful, and just done right. No gimmicks, just a really good steak. We also split the Bravado burger, which was juicy and flavorful and felt like a quality burger instead of the usual bar version. For drinks I had the Bravado Old Fashioned, and that was one of the better ones I've had in a while. Smooth, balanced, and not overly sweet. One thing I want to mention since I've seen people talk about it, the dress code. Honestly, I don't understand why some people get so bent out of shape about it. The place clearly welcomes everyone, but the dress code is part of the experience. People always say they miss the days when going out meant dressing up a little, and here's a place actually trying to bring that kind of atmosphere back to the community. The owner of the establishment was kind enough to greet us at our table and ask us how everything was going. Made us feel more than welcome and was super friendly. If you want to wear a sports hat or your Dodgers or Lakers gear, there are plenty of spots nearby where that's totally fine and there's nothing wrong with that. But this place is trying to create something a little different and I actually respect that. Overall, this is definitely our new go to for awesome food and drinks, great atmosphere. Cheers!

This new spot in Covina is a gem! It's one of the classy spots on this strip. Great drinks and although their service is quite slow it's the growing pains of a new business. The service is friendly the drinks are beautifully crafted and the food seems good although I haven't gotten a chance to try the food yet. The ambience is dim and sexy with live music or DJ . I highly recommend you check it out and make a reservation.

While this establishment had a great ambiance, with attention to detail to food and drinks- based off the menu. The service was strange- we had a bartender, rocking Elton John sunglasses that seemed coked out. I was given 3 drinks in the time my boyfriend waited for his. Food was great, bursting with flavor. Drinks were also flavorful too. But be prepared to repeat your order and your drink order a few times in a row.

Such a cute spot for date night or even a girls night. The vibe is everything, super moody and intimate. Food and drinks are always amazing, and the staff is so welcoming. They have live music on Thursday's which makes it even better, and brunch on Sundays is a must. Carlos and Alejandra are the sweetest and really make the whole experience feel special. I got to go Friday night. Amazing ambiance! You walk in and instantly get transported to somewhere in London. There's so much attention to detail in the architecture and well thought out. Full bar with specialty drinks. My gf had a few " Seamstress" drinks and I had a couple Old fashioned. We loved the drinks! The service was pretty quick despite it being a soft opening. I love the idea of a VIP smoking room where you can maintain your own cigar locker. The smoking room has state of the art ventilation so the odor didn't travel into the main area or hallway to the bathroom. Everyone was dressed nice and it was great to see a dress code that allows casual clothing but keeps the jerseys and hats out. WOW!!!! This place was PERFECT!!!! My wife and I went and really enjoyed the speak easy vibe. It was classy and absolutely gorgeous inside. The service was on point. We were first seated in the dining area but then asked to be moved to the bar only because we wanted to try something different. The staff didn't say anything and helped move us. This 2 star review is mostly based off of the security guard enforcing "dress code" but felt more like selective entrance i saw people who were dressed fine but got rejected at the door too and the inside of the bar had many empty seats It makes the establishment very unwelcoming when ive been here before and had a wonderful time with the bartenders It would be one thing if the venue was michelin starred, james beard nominated, etc but even those locations arent as strict I just dont believe this sort of dress code is great for hospitality and really feels like it brings the place down when the service staff actually do a wonderful job If anything come on thursdays where the actual service staff will let you in but friday saturday, forget about it because if you aint their selective "clientele" you wont get in, such a shame :( read more

Last week my fiancé and I were craving an elegant night out. (Hard to find the time) Bravado has been in our sights since it was first announced they were opening up. It was not a letdown. New innovative cocktails. Staff- Stylistic professional and friendly. Marco was our main bartender. Rarely do you see speed AND customer service displayed at auch a high level. The place is nice. I like the rat pack ambiance inside and the menu names matched it which I thought was super cute. Drinks were meh....tiny glasses. And my boyfriend ordered a scotch neat and it was under a 1 finer pour. My martini glass was able 4 small sips and tasted ok, but I don't think it had alcohol at all. For $20-$30 drinks I thought we get a little better. Food was meh. The Tuna tartare was BEGGIN for some salt or a hit of acid. It was just so plain and blah. I was hoping for a tiny more flavor of some kind. The DJ was cool, he played good music. Although for music that loud where you could barely speak I was thinking there might be a dance floor or something because it was giving club vibes. I might go back once when it's more established. My girlfriend and I went to Bravado on Saturday night for her birthday, and we had a great time. We started with the black sugar bacon and tuna tartare both were delicious. For drinks, I had a classic martini, and she tried the lychee & linen cocktail, both were well balanced and tasty. Honestly, the dress code was pretty relaxed people looked nice but nothing over the top. The atmosphere was beautiful, really cozy, and the service was excellent all night. They also had a DJ playing Afro House 10/10. We'll definitely be back! read more

Came here on a Friday night with my wife and we had a very pleasant evening. The place looks absolutely amazing and has a great vibe. The music was just right... good energy but not so loud that we couldn't have a normal conversation. We ordered the burger, which was really good, along with the salmon appetizer and the dates. The dates were a standout for my wife...she absolutely loved them. Even though she's not a big drinker, she genuinely enjoyed her cocktails (wish I remembered the name of the one she ordered). Overall, we really enjoyed our experience here. The best part was that my wife had a good time that she commented she'd like to come back again. Happy wife, happy life! read more

My husband and I went to Bravado on a Saturday night, and I have to say Covina truly needed this spot. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance felt elevated and intentional. The space is modern and aesthetically pleasing, and it gives off serious Vegas and DTLA lounge vibes. For a moment I forgot we were in Covina. It felt like we had been transported to an upscale city hotspot. Our waiter Juan was such a standout. He was genuine and kind, and carried himself with this calm, happy energy that you cannot fake. It truly felt like he enjoys what he does, and that kind of service makes a huge difference in the overall experience. He was attentive without hovering and warm without being over the top. Just really great hospitality. The owner was also present and attentive, which I always appreciate. It is clear there is pride behind this place and a real desire to bring something elevated and special to the community. As for the food, everything was delicious and thoughtfully prepared. I had the Apple Orchard Salad and it was very tasty. The dressing was flavorful and balanced, tying everything together beautifully. We also ordered the Cacio e Pepe, which was rich and comforting and executed perfectly. I chose the salmon blackened with Cajun spice, and I loved it. It was seasoned well, cooked perfectly, and generously portioned. Overall, Bravado brings a much needed upscale vibe to Covina. Horrible. The front desk host did not allow me to wear a hat because it said LA on it. But another gentleman inside was allowed to wear a hat because it was blank. They said they have a dress code. I was wearing a button down and slacks, but got told I can't wear my dodger hat. But that same gentleman who was wearing a blank hat had shorts on. Sounds like they pick and choose. read more

With how packed it was, the bartenders seemed to be moving at a slow pace with little sense of urgency, which made getting to the bar nearly impossible. After waiting about 10 minutes without being able to place an order, we ended up leaving. It was disappointing, especially after driving out excited to try the drinks we saw online. The photos make the space feel much bigger and more relaxed than it actually is, which created a very different expectation. Overall, the experience didn't live up to the hype and first impressions fell flat.

We started with the frites, and they were absolutely fantastic--honestly better than the originals we had in Belgium. Crispy, perfectly seasoned, and the ideal way to kick off the meal. The rest of the food was just as impressive, clearly prepared with care and attention to detail. What really set the experience apart was the service. Our hostess, Gwenn, was friendly, welcoming, and incredibly helpful in getting us settled and making recommendations. At the bar, Robert and Sky were hands down spot on. Bravado is exactly the kind of upper-scale restaurant this area needs. We are surrounded by sports bars and Mexican eateries, so it's refreshing to finally have something different and elegant in the neighborhood. I've watched the owners build this place from the ground up and have seen firsthand the sweat, time, and sacrifice it took to bring such a beautiful establishment to our community. I was looking forward to celebrating my birthday at this establishment and supporting a small business, but unfortunately the experience was very disappointing. My husband called 3-4 weeks in advance and spoke with Carlos to make a reservation. Following that call, we attempted several times to confirm the reservation by phone and left multiple messages, none of which were returned. Ultimately, my husband went to the location in person and was informed that our reservation was not on record. Reliable communication is essential in the hospitality industry, and this lack of follow-up caused unnecessary stress and inconvenience. If this continues to be their standard practice, it will be difficult for them to retain customers. read more

Most beautiful and unique bar in Covina. The location is great and the customer service was excellent. The food and drinks are great. This is not somewhere you pop in wearing flip flops and tank tops and I'm grateful for that! The dress code and overall ambiance sets a standard for patrons. This is the perfect place for those of us who appreciate a relaxing dining and drinks experience and want to get dressed up for fancy date night. Very classy! My bestie and I went out for a fancy dinner/drinks and we decided to visit this place. I first have to say that JUAN made the outing 10x more fun he's such a vibe def made it worth coming and spending that extra $$$ we'll for sure be back for him. I had an incredible experience at Bravado in Covina! The drinks were amazing--so creative and flavorful. The atmosphere was incredibly inviting, and the best part of the night was the live DJ music--it was phenomena.
