Awesome spot for dinner or post tanglewood snacks! Lenox seems to roll up its sidewalks at 8, but this place keeps the fun going late. The pizza was tasty and we loved the small plates. The beer list is extensive and filled with hard to find euro brews. In a town where the dining options often feel stuffy and hoity-toity, Brava is casual, but classy. The prices are reasonable for the quality. Try the salami and pepper pizza- it's a spicy treat! The bartender was knowledgeable and helped us select beers we would enjoy. A special shout out to our waitress Felicia- she stood up for us (politely) when some folks walked in and tried to take the table we had been waiting for for a half hour. Management was also stellar in backing her up when the customer became irate that she couldn't jump the line. Seems like a business that cares about their staff and how they are treated. This is a TINY TINY restaurant. Even though it was packed, we only had to wait like 20 minutes. We had 3 adults and 2 kids (ages 8 and 11). The kids loved EVERYTHING. We ordered steak, calamari, two types of pizzas, wings (excellent!!!), fries and scallops. We ordered wine, cider and beer -- all excellent! The only thing that wasn't awesome were the scallops. Too much sauce and they were a bit over cooked. Otherwise, I thought the service was top notch (even though they only had 2 people in the front working, they hustled). Food was on point. BRAVO !!! This restaurant just served me the best meal I have had in the Berkshires. Incredible offerings of wines and beers. The most imaginative menu in the Berkshires. The pizza was incredible and all the dishes were equally excellent. I will definitely be going back here again and again. They don't take reservations so if it's a weekend or in season I suggest you get there early or be willing to wait. This place was recommended by our hotel and what a win it was. We came in late 8PM and got in with in about 15 minutes. The beer selection tops anything I get in NYC so props to this small business in the town of Lenox for crushing it on their selection. The tapas was a bit small even for tapas, so everything added up quickly even for 2 not so hungry people. I was in the Berkshires in mid-February and wanted to get dinner on a Friday night. The restaurant my boyfriend and I were originally looking at couldn't seat us until 9 p.m., so we ventured into Brava around 7:45 and were seated within 5 minutes. The space is very small/cozy, but I didn't think it detracted from the eating experience or made eating there uncomfortable. First we ordered drinks. They have a very extensive beer and wine menu, but being a Spanish bar I had to order the sangria. I ordered red and was forewarned by our server it was made with cayenne and cinnamon. It turned out to be the best sangria I have ever had. It had a light kick and a spicy-sweetness from the cinnamon that worked perfectly with the wine. Next up were the tapas, which were equally amazing. We tried the calamari, the lamb sausage/kale pizza, and the boom boom shrimp. The calamari came out without any bells and whistles, just a side sauce, but were excellent and lightly fried. The lamb kale pizza had great flavor combinations. And my only complaint about the boom boom shrimp was that there weren't more of them. It was my first time in Lenox and my first eating-out experience there, but if I got to go back Brava would be one of my first stops. read more

My wife and I stopped in on our way to an event at Tanglewood. We got there just after the restaurant opened (5 PM), so we had no wait to speak of. The wait staff was extremely attentive. The food was excellent and came out pretty quickly. The only con to this place is the size - interior seating is really quite limited and all tables were occupied five minutes after open (5 PM) on a Thursday in June, and when we left just before 6, there were about as many people waiting for tables as could have been accommodated in the restaurant at once. tl;dr Strongly recommended, just arrive early or with a reservation. read more

We were at Brava this past Friday. Everything was DELICIOUS! We arrived around 8:15 pm and the place was busy. Not an open table to be found. Bar was full. We were happy to wait. Ordered a couple of ($6) sangrias at the bar. It was nice to see the multiple sangria options - for both white and red varieties. And a huge (probably the largest I've ever seen) beer list. Wow! For dinner we shared: fried chickpeas, charcuterie, Patatas Bravas, calamari, spinach salad, the tomato, mozzerella, pesto bruschetta, and the caramelized onion, bacon, crème fraiche pizza. OMG. Amazing. We may have ordered a bit too much for the 4 of us but we were not disappointed. And everything is very reasonably priced. My only one, very minor complaint was - our first round of sangrias were great/very flavorful. Upon ordering round two they tasted very different and when we told our server he offered to sprinkle more cinnamon on them but that really wasn't what it was missing. Couldn't really put our finger on it but it didn't damper our already amazing experience. If you're in the area, definitely give Brava a try! read more

On our drive to the Berkshires, we fired up Yelp for a dinner rec. Brava was at the top of the lust so we got off the Mass Pike and headed to Lenox. The place is tiny. There is a row of tables and stools at the bar. It is a super cozy space that reminded me of an underground wine cave. We were seated right away and began to peruse the menu. There were so many delicious options to choose. We opted to start with the five item cheese and charcuterie platter, picking the lomo and calabrese for meats and the Bayley Hazen blue, Red Dragon and St. Stephen's triple crème. The lomo was delicious and practically melted on the tongue. The calabrese had a spicy peppery bite. The cheeses though we're the star. The Red Dragon had mustard and horseradish notes that we all loved. The St. Stephen's was cheese perfection, soft and creamy and so good slathered on the warm baguette rounds. I am not a blue cheese person but was told it was really good. We also ordered the scallops with a balsamic drizzle, sweet and perfectly cooked. They were served with some dressed greens that balanced them really well. The meatballs were delicious. Both savory with a hint of sweet and some heat too. Next was the grilled steak and chimmichurri. The steak had a gorgeous char and was super tender. The watercress with it really cut the unctuousness of the meat. The only dish that didn't get raves was the poutine. Don't get me wrong it was delicious. It just paled in comparison to the other dishes. For dessert we shared a trio of gelatos. The richest, deepest darkest chocolate ever. Hazelnut that was hazelnut without being too intense and a lovely vanilla bean that was the essence of vanilla. Every time I go to the Berkshires, I mentally prepare myself for a slew of mediocre, inconsistent, overpriced restaurants that often disappear from one year to the next. Thus, I am so happy to see that Brava, with its consistently good food and remarkable wine list, has dodged the "seasonal Berkshires" curse. The food is good here. It's never inaccessible; think hummus, caprese-ish appetizers, perfectly seared seafood, and pizzas. The patatas bravas are always delicious, in a way that only deep-fried potatoes drizzled with spicy mayo can be. I could use more vegetables on the menu. It is fairly meat- and cheese-heavy. Speaking of which, the charcuterie and cheese board selection is well put-together; there are a good mix of old standbys and new, wacky products (hello nduja). And the WINE LIST. The servers will help you if you're lost. Wine Spectator gave them an award in 2014 for having one of the most extensive and varied wine lists in the world! I would recommend getting there early, if not before they open. Even if you need to stand around for a bit to get a table, the waitresses and waiters will take great care of you and pour you some wine, which is not the worst thing in the world :) read more

We chose to dine at Brava after reading Yelp reviews. Brava serves tapas, small plates that encourage sampling. We ordered seared scallops, Swiss chard, gambas al ajillo, patatas Bravas, bread with butter and sea salt and bread pudding. All were excellent! The food was presented well and was delicious. Service was excellent. The ambiance was cozy and intimate. As other Yelpers have noted, Brava is pricey but not extreme. The cost of most menu items is what one might expect for entree size plates at other restaurants in other locales. But Brava is in Lenox, very close to Tanglewood, so the prices were consistent with my expectations. Examples: They served only 3 scallops with some wilted, lightly dressed greens for $17. But the portion size of the patatas and chard was generous. The amount of bread pudding served was somewhat small, but was appropriate for the 2 of us to share. The key to diner satisfaction is for a restaurant to meet or exceed expectations. Brava fully met these criteria. Keep this in mind should you choose to dine at Brava, and you will be rewarded with an excellent meal. read more

The new Brava location is very cozy. The fire was lit and the old fashioned was delicious and a perfect compliment. Or as my companion likes a draft, they loved their maple porter. Lenox doesn't equate to "late night", but Brava took a chance and opened there as a late night restaurant. It makes a very nice addition to the town. The restaurant is very small with only a few tables and a bar; however, the ambiance is perfect to hang out, have a drink or two and enjoy the food. The food, primarily tapas and pizza, is very good and very fairly priced. On a recent visit we had the smoked garbanzo beans. The smoke came more from smoked paprika than the beans, but still very good ($4). The meatballs were a little dense and a bit dry, but nothing to really complain about. They were tasty, and the sauce was a very interesting sweet tomato sauce. Five meatballs were $9. The grilled corn with feta and butter was delicious at $6 for three half ears, and even the bread a butter, $3 extra, was excellent. You can also order a broad array of charcuterie and cheeses. They have a very extensive wine and beer list, all fairly priced, and the service was very friendly. Worth a stop late night or not. read more

We were lucky enough to be here when it wasn't busy; we must have gotten there in between the dinner crowd and the late-night crowd (around 9 pm). The atmosphere was quiet with low lighting, and the space was small but didn't seem cramped (again, not many people there, but still). We also liked how there were all walks of life inside, from guys in backwards baseball caps to a man in coat and tails. The food we got was delicious; everything was as good as we hoped it would be if not better. We wished we hadn't had so much beer earlier in the day, as we would have loved to sample one or two of the wines or beers they had available, but we decided to focus on the food. The servers were friendly, helpful, and prompt, and food came out quickly. This was probably the best meal we had while in the Berkshires, and if we come back I'm sure we'll return here. read more

We had such a great experience that we went back the next night. Sit at the bar, the staff is incredibly friendly and have great suggestions. Excellent variety of fun craft beers and wine. While it is a small venue they turn around tables with efficiency and a smile. You won't feel rushed and if you're willing to wait with a drink or start in on your apps you'll have a fine time. The food is generous and spans a wide range of influence. Special nod to the meatballs (wish I had that recipe!), chicken wings, potatas bravas and shrimp. My husband and I stumbled upon their menu while we were walking around and thought it would be a perfect place to eat after a late show that we were going to. We ordered a variety of things starting with the cold tapa "marinated white anchovies", they were absolutely delicious! They had a lemon tinge to them and were a nice and light app. For hot appetizers we tried the "mambas al ajillo" (absolutely delicious!!!), the "brava's crispy calamari" (it was a bit salty for me but my husband enjoyed it, "the seared scallops" (not bad), the "patatas braves" (such delicious fries!!!), "crisy chicken wings hot" (they could have been a bit spicier). Then we had a cheese platter with three different types of cheese (can't remember the names), the plate was very good!!! Lastly we had the bread pudding (which I wasn't crazy about). Amazing! Great food, atmosphere, and drinks! My fiancé and I were vacationing in the area and came for dinner all the way from Boston. We will definitely come back if we are ever in the area again!
