The place has at once a hip, relaxing and unpretentious vibe, part bar/lounge of organic decor, private tasting and screening room, and alchemical chamber of curiosities, with the huge copper still displayed prominently. The distiller, erudite and cultured in virtually all areas, also down-to-earth and laid back, is happy to chat for hours about the arts, humanities, maths, particle physics, sports, you name it - and of course the distilling process and its intricacies - or hang back quietly, working with the still from time to time, and leave patrons to their personal conversations.
