    Bucatini with pork belly

How have we not discovered this before. It's only been here a year. Unfortunately it's not in a place that you'll run right into it so I gotta spread the word Pizza was delicious. Interesting flavorful crust. The only thing I would change is that I wish it was crispier. Good ratio of sauce to toppings and some delicious cheese. I got the buccatuni with pork belly. At first glance it looked sort of disconnected. Like pasta and a hunk of pork on the top. But despite appearances it was very juicy and actually quite cohesive. Yummy risotto. Well cooked and seasoned. From A food truck too. How about that. Neat little seating area with the taphouse. Very comfortable. I'd come back.

    Brassi's margherita pizza

Impressive first visit! Passing through and in search of a good food truck...I'm so glad we decided upon Brassi's. Although it wasn't the easiest to find, tucked away in a location we didn't expect, they've got plenty of parking, seating (in & outside), and a beer garden. The food was fabulous. The presentation, textures, and flavors provided the feel of a more upscale dining experience. We had the 1/2 Caesar salad...which was unique, fresh, and large for a 1/2. The margherita pizza was cooked perfectly, and the steak bites plate was very flavorful & colorful. More of a dining experience at this truck. We will definitely be back next time we are passing through town, wish we were closer!

Oh wow! This wood-fired oasis must be the best kept secret in McMinnville. The ribs and pizza were outstanding, and we are total ribs and pizza SNOBS! The menu is seasonal, but they are SO good I betcha they can't make bad food no matter what season it is. The quiet, cozy courtyard is connected to the Heater Allen Taproom, which has the best brews on tap in McMinnville.

Excellent food. Prepared healthfully. A good variety of choices even though the menu is based on the season.

We stopped in on a Friday night on our return from the coast. We arrived 30 minutes before they closed (too close for comfort, but we wanted to try), so I asked the host if they could still seat us. And while they weren't enthusiastic (I know I wouldn't be), we got a table and were promptly and warmly welcomed by our server. Even with only half an hour to close, we didn't feel rushed, and they took the time to explain the menu and offered suggestions. My lobster and I split a small arugula salad (which was indeed plenty!). It was simply dressed and packed full of flavor. I don't know why my basic salads at home don't taste this good. He got the sausage calzone, and I ordered the mushroom pizza. Both of our mains were delish. The sausage in the calzone was fennel forward, which we love. The fried sage atop my mushroom pizza was a delightful addition, and I'm not even a big fan of sage. Hey, people grow and change! The space itself is cozy and inviting. We look forward to returning for an earlier dinner so we can try the cocktails and dessert.

The pizza is thin crust, uses a better quality of pepperoni, and the bottom is crisply done. The Greek salad was a generous size, a large could easily be split. It had great quality ingredients in sliced kalamata olives and Mama Lil's peppers. If you threw them in whole, they would dominate the dish, sliced they complemented the dish along with the feta crumbles and cherry tomatoes. What was striking in a great way was that all the salad was ice cold and crunchy. Few restaurants take the care with that little detail. The self serve water was perfectly chilled too. They make deep dish as well. Honey Pie is order at the counter, they bring it to the table, and you bus. There is a covered patio outside, and inside long tables to share with chairs and seating upstairs. The staff was great and the service fast. As I've stated in a previous review, I am no photographer, but this photo had to be taken so I had any evidence that I finally had an opportunity to try what others kept telling me about. Geraldi's has been around for as long as I can remember. I've been in Yamhill county for the last 10+ years and had been to their first location on 3rd street here in Mac. I faintly remember eating there before and recall the food being good, I mean pizza is never the wrong answer right? Well now, across from Linfield University, they didn't just relocate... they reintroduced themselves as some of(if not the) best food in town! When we first opened the door to the restaurant, we were met with nothing short of amazing smells, smiling faces and an all around welcoming environment. We looked over the menu but I knew regardless of what I or my wife chose, we wouldn't be disappointed, and I couldn't have been more right. Our minds were made up, so I went to order, and If I recall correctly, I was talking to the owner/manager..? I can't say exactly and for that I apologize. But nonetheless, the gentleman nothing short of friendly and respectful which I truly appreciated considering there were phone calls left and right, which I assume were more customers placing orders. And yet while this is happening, I can see the entire staff was in synch, not missing a step with preparing ingredients, making orders and helping those who had a question or needed to place their own order in store. Our order. I got a Spicy Geraldi, a cold sandwich but I was asked if I'd like it toasted which I agreed to trying (a must, I promise). Next, a slice of pepperoni pizza, a slice of cheesecake, my wife's Chicken fettuccine Alfredo and a soda, which he was nice enough to comp an extra cup, no charge. By no means was that required but a small, friendly gesture which is much appreciated. Now, while the photo I took doesn't display the cheesecake, I can say with no hesitation that everything I ordered and tried at this restaurant is the reason I've become a new regular. I have family out of state who often visit, as well as friends who come by every now and then. Why is this important to say? Because this is the restaurant I'll recommend to any and everyone. When I hear the question: "where's a good place to eat?" My answer will now be: Geraldi's. This short story of a review doesn't come lightly. While I'm no big bad food critic, but just a local, I felt this restaurant, this food and those who run this restaurant deserve such praise for being above and beyond what they have to offer for the town and its surrounding area. A 10/10 in my book.

In January 2025, we visited the small town of Floyd, VA and ate at an amazing little Italian restaurant called Geraldi's. (It was such a great experience that you should read the separate review we wrote for that location.) While there, we met Albert, the owner, who shared with us that his grandson Joe owns Geraldi's in McMinnville, OR. We told Albert that we had just been in McMinnville and promised that we would visit his grandson's restaurant on a future trip to visit family in the area. This visit, we made sure to plan a stop at Geraldi's--and we did just that today, two days before Christmas 2025. We arrived a little before 4:00 PM and walked inside. The exterior is well maintained and there was ample parking available. Inside, the ordering process is straightforward: you order at the counter, take a seat with the order number stand, and your food is brought out when it's ready. There's a menu board behind the counter, and hard-copy menus are conveniently located on both sides of the entrance. The kitchen is completely open behind the counter, so you can watch everything as the food is prepared, which we always enjoy. My wife ordered the chef salad with added grilled chicken, along with a side of two meatballs. We remembered just how good the meatballs were at the Floyd, VA location and hoped they would live up to that memory. I ordered a small (14-inch) calzone with pepperoni and sausage, which comes with a side of marinara. When our meals arrived at the table, the portions were huge. The chef salad was loaded with fresh ingredients and the grilled chicken was perfectly cooked. The meatballs absolutely lived up to expectations, tender, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The calzone was massive, even for the "small" size, with a generous amount of filling and a nicely baked crust. The marinara was rich and well-balanced, pairing perfectly with each bite. Overall, this visit felt like a continuation of the same family tradition and quality we experienced in Floyd, VA. It's clear that pride and consistency carry through the generations. If you're in McMinnville and craving Italian comfort food made well, Geraldi's is absolutely worth the stop.

If you're a food vendor and your notes specify to bring up any issues with the waiter, and you do, and then you don't do anything at all, then you deserve 1 star. Sorry, no excuses. No making it right after the fact. Just no! The food was something less than stellar. The Margherita Pizza was just a cheese pizza with some tomatoes and pesto and looked nothing like some of the other delicious pizzas on the Furioso page (go ahead and compare). The charcuterie board only had 2 cheeses (when it should have had 3) and was pitiful and bare looking. It didn't have olives either (the menu indicated it did). We told the waiter and that was it, nobody from the food truck stopped to say anything or offer anything in addition. He said he told the chef and the chef updated the web site. WTF? That's the remedy? Just change the menu... great job, Wooden Heart. Even if you only had 2 cheeses due to supply shortages, bring more of another one to us. Something! At least walk over to our table and say something. I know it's not Furioso's fault, but one of the reasons I wanted to go to Furioso was the delicious looking food as well as the views. Furioso delivered on the views, but for service and food quality, both Furioso and Wooden Heart failed miserably.
