SCW and I and I stopped into Omar's Mediterranean Grill while touring wine country. The food truck has lots of parking spaces around and the menu is posted outside. We were warmly greeted when we arrived. The menu is a little confusing for vegetarians, but we figured it out. Basically you can pick whatever is on the menu and choose what protein you want on it. We really wanted falafel however it's no longer available. They use a pea protein instead. Minus a star here as I think the pea protein while tasty, really changes the dishes we had. I had a shawarma wrap, SCW a gyro and we also got an order of hummus which came with pita. The food itself was good. Everything was fresh and flavorful. The tomatoes stood out for me as better than usual. The pea protein was tasty but added a different flavor profile than I was really looking for. When you want falafel it just doesn't taste the same. The hummus was good as was the pita bread. The service was great. I enjoyed the meal but I would not seek it out again simply because of the pea protein option. Of course it's great they offer a meat substitute but it wasn't something I would seek out for Mediterranean food. read more

Omar's is a little hidden out back, but I have nothing but high regards for this place! I'm from out of town and come to help on some farms out here, and this truck does a great job of providing quality gyros at a reasonable price! Plenty of parking, menu is posted outside, and the gentleman running it is very kind. If you're looking for well marinated lamb gyros, this is the place to go! And the rice is awesome! read more

Chocoreros are effing ridiculous in the great kinda way!!!!!! I love this place! Everything is packed with fresh ingredients and powerful flavors! My meat is always cooked perfectly! The only thing that isn't bad but isn't good is the fries. I am not really a rice person so I tried it with fries once and I have never ordered them again. Which is unfortunate because then the rice goes to waste. I wish the fries were as fresh as the rest of the food more replaced with a different side option like fruit or something :-) read more

This is the first time my schedule has lined up with Omar's business hours, and I might make an effort to make them align more frequently! This place is is amazing! We had the falafel gyro (gigantic, stuffed with falafel and caramelized onion), and the falafel plate plus (oh my goodness--the rice-- and the tomato cucumber salad--and those caramelized onions, again)! Excellent balance of lentils to rice, with superb flavor. Large portions for the price--we're stuffed! The guy who took my order even asked if I was parked close, and brought my food over when it was ready. 5 stars for Omar all day long!! read more

I like that there's some Mediterranean food finally in Mac. But this isn't really very good compared to most I've had. It's okay, but after trying it once and waiting forever for it, I'll continue to just wait until the next time I'm in Portland for good authentic Mediterranean. read more

Omar's is my favorite launch in town! They are parked in the Staples parking lot in front of our Chiropractic Clinic and they always provide the best food, fresh off my order, and do it with gratitude and a smile. Their food and service make McMinnville a better place. read more

Went there the other night for dinner was not very impressed. Tough chewy meat the onions. Were raw, very little tahini sauce and as far as I'm concerned the sauces are what Mediterranean food is all about. Will give it one more shot and report in later read more
