"All good things must come to and end" This quote is what bounced around in my head as we finished our meal. As I've stated in a previous review, I am no photographer, but this photo had to be taken so I had any evidence that I finally had an opportunity to try what others kept telling me about. Geraldi's has been around for as long as I can remember. I've been in Yamhill county for the last 10+ years and had been to their first location on 3rd street here in Mac. I faintly remember eating there before and recall the food being good, I mean pizza is never the wrong answer right? Well now, across from Linfield University, they didn't just relocate... they reintroduced themselves as some of(if not the) best food in town! When we first opened the door to the restaurant, we were met with nothing short of amazing smells, smiling faces and an all around welcoming environment. We looked over the menu but I knew regardless of what I or my wife chose, we wouldn't be disappointed, and I couldn't have been more right. Our minds were made up, so I went to order, and If I recall correctly, I was talking to the owner/manager..? I can't say exactly and for that I apologize. But nonetheless, the gentleman nothing short of friendly and respectful which I truly appreciated considering there were phone calls left and right, which I assume were more customers placing orders. And yet while this is happening, I can see the entire staff was in synch, not missing a step with preparing ingredients, making orders and helping those who had a question or needed to place their own order in store. Our order. I got a Spicy Geraldi, a cold sandwich but I was asked if I'd like it toasted which I agreed to trying (a must, I promise). Next, a slice of pepperoni pizza, a slice of cheesecake, my wife's Chicken fettuccine Alfredo and a soda, which he was nice enough to comp an extra cup, no charge. By no means was that required but a small, friendly gesture which is much appreciated. Now, while the photo I took doesn't display the cheesecake, I can say with no hesitation that everything I ordered and tried at this restaurant is the reason I've become a new regular. I have family out of state who often visit, as well as friends who come by every now and then. Why is this important to say? Because this is the restaurant I'll recommend to any and everyone. When I hear the question: "where's a good place to eat?" My answer will now be: Geraldi's. This short story of a review doesn't come lightly. While I'm no big bad food critic, but just a local, I felt this restaurant, this food and those who run this restaurant deserve such praise for being above and beyond what they have to offer for the town and its surrounding area. Around Christmas 2024, we stayed in the area while visiting family but didn't know about Geraldi's at the time. In January 2025, we visited the small town of Floyd, VA and ate at an amazing little Italian restaurant called Geraldi's. (It was such a great experience that you should read the separate review we wrote for that location.) While there, we met Albert, the owner, who shared with us that his grandson Joe owns Geraldi's in McMinnville, OR. We told Albert that we had just been in McMinnville and promised that we would visit his grandson's restaurant on a future trip to visit family in the area. This visit, we made sure to plan a stop at Geraldi's--and we did just that today, two days before Christmas 2025. We arrived a little before 4:00 PM and walked inside. The exterior is well maintained and there was ample parking available. Inside, the ordering process is straightforward: you order at the counter, take a seat with the order number stand, and your food is brought out when it's ready. There's a menu board behind the counter, and hard-copy menus are conveniently located on both sides of the entrance. The kitchen is completely open behind the counter, so you can watch everything as the food is prepared, which we always enjoy. My wife ordered the chef salad with added grilled chicken, along with a side of two meatballs. We remembered just how good the meatballs were at the Floyd, VA location and hoped they would live up to that memory. I ordered a small (14-inch) calzone with pepperoni and sausage, which comes with a side of marinara. When our meals arrived at the table, the portions were huge. The chef salad was loaded with fresh ingredients and the grilled chicken was perfectly cooked. The meatballs absolutely lived up to expectations, tender, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The calzone was massive, even for the "small" size, with a generous amount of filling and a nicely baked crust. The marinara was rich and well-balanced, pairing perfectly with each bite. Overall, this visit felt like a continuation of the same family tradition and quality we experienced in Floyd, VA. It's clear that pride and consistency carry through the generations. If you're in McMinnville and craving Italian comfort food made well, Geraldi's is absolutely worth the stop. read more

Geraldi's is a must try if you are in McMinnville. We've been stopping here regularly for the last two years and have yet to be disappointed. My son loves the Chicken Parmaroni Sandwich - A classic chicken parmesan with a pepperoni twist. We tried a pizza for the first time this week and it was delicious with a generous portion of toppings. The Pasta Salad is a must try - huge portion that can feed a small family and priced affordable. The shop is busy and clean, though it is small so gets crowded quickly. Easy access off of Hwy 99 and plenty of parking. Walk up to the counter and order. Ordered two to go sandwiches and they were fresh and packed full of ingredients. Definitely a perfect stop for lunch while you're in town. There is plenty of seating and lots of windows inside if you are so inclined to dine in. read more

Damn, talk about some absolutely incredibly great tasting food.... EVERYTHING we ordered was delicious! I asked John, the co-owner, what hot hero he recommended and he said the Geraldi Torpedo. Done. My wife ordered the garden salad, and my two kids ordered fettuccine and ravioli. Complimentary garlic bread was served. I was only able to finish half of my 9" hero. I looked forward to eating the rest at some point during our road trip back to Tucson, AZ. But, each family member had leftovers that they weren't planning on taking with us, so I gave each a taste. Nope, these are NOT staying behind. We also devoured the most incredible garlic bread I have ever had. So. Much. Flavor. I finished my son's ravioli on the spot and took my sandwich, salad, and fettuccine to go. The fettuccine made a great breakfast the next day. The salad a road snack, and the hero was my lunch. Everything eaten cold as I had no way of heating it up. It was still delicious!! John and his team were great hosts, and the restaurant had a family friendly vibe. Honestly I wasn't expecting much from my pesto veggie sandwich but I was floored by the flavors packed within this colossal sandwich. The pesto tasted fresh and wasn't too oily at all. There was an ample amount of feta tucked beneath a bed of lettuce to bring some creaminess and saltiness to the sandwich. There is so much fresh lettuce and tomato to bring a refreshing juiciness to the sandwich, and the generously portioned artichoke hearts made this a standout sandwich. Of course, the quality of the bread makes or breaks a sandwich and I'm happy to report that the bread was fluffy and fresh. Absolutely didn't taste like it had been sitting around for days waiting to be used, but like it had been baked that morning. I was very pleased with the price. I could've easily eaten that sandwich over the course of two or theee lunches but it was so good I had it in one go. In fact, a quick perusal of the menu shows that almost everything is reasonably priced and clearly what do you get is high quality and worth it! I'm excited to dine in and try everything else on their menu. It's nice to know there's a solid lunch spot in town that can fit you up with everything from pizza to sandwiches depending on your mood. read more

Amazing and fantastic restaurant. Just like the one in Beaverton, Geraldi's makes an absolute delicious spicy sandwich. My go to is the Hot Spicy. Just a half though because a whole is massive. I could eat this every day. The service was quick. You order at the counter and bring it out to you. Even with our group of 11 we got served very quickly. The restaurant is very modern and clean. Short version: Don't let the prices scare you off, the food is plentiful and delicious. I ordered the Spicy Geraldi with no cheese or mustard. The cashier had no problem adjusting the order to my allergies and the sandwich came out correct the first time, which is always a good sign. The sandwich wasn't all that spicy, but that might be due to the lack of mustard. It could have done with done picked bananas peppers for some bite. Either way, it was delicious. The 9" was sufficiently substantial enough for me to need to take half of it home. My husband ordered the Fettuccini Alfredo which came with a side of garlic bread. The plate of Fettuccini was enough for two meals. They weren't stingy with the chicken and there was plenty of sauce for the garlic bread to soak up. He did say that the sauce was a little too thin, but he still happily ate it up. He said it was very Italian Seasoning forward and would have liked the red pepper to be mixed in rather than sprinkled on top to infuse the sauce. I saw another customer with individual slices of pizza and they were HUGE. If you're looking for a slice of pizza as big as your face, this is definitely the place to get it. The atmosphere of Geraldi's is very farmhouse contemporary. Stark white walls with black and warm wood accents. The open kitchen allows customers to watch as their food is being made. They were doing brisk business on a Friday at lunchtime and it was clear that many of the customers are regulars. I think we're going to become regulars ourselves. read more

We just left there about 10 minutes ago . Two out of the three of us were very disappointed . They were out of meet lasagna so the cashier suggested cheese lasagna with meatballs . It was not lasagna! It was lasagna noodles layered in a bowl with mozzarella and ricotta microwaved and swimming in sauce . The cheese was not melted and it was cold inside . It was just awful . The other person had the chicken parmeroni sandwich. They should tell people the only choice is hot pepperoni . It was so spicy she couldn't eat it . We were there about a month ago and my partner couldn't eat the pepperoni pizza either . I like spicy but the pizza was so overcooked you couldn't even cut through the crust . My daughters and I came in tonight for our first time! We loved it! My girls are 6 & 8 raved at how good their sandwiches were ! The service was friendly & fast! The owner even came over and asked how we were enjoying our food. My girls loved telling him how amazing their food was! He brought us a slice of cheesecake for free at the end of our meal. First time visiting their new location. Absolutely love the bright natural sunlight and cafe style seating. We were prepared for a line but it wasn't terrible we only had to wait maybe 5 to order. We ordered a full sized Geraldi's sub and a single meatball to try. The place was hopping, people eating and laughing. The cooks were slinging pizza crust. The atmosphere was excited and the delicious smells coming out of that kitchen were incredible. The owner was out walking around clearing tables and greeting guests. He stopped by our table to ask what we ordered making sure we haven't waited too long. We assured him we just ordered and are super excited to have them back open. He thanked us and went back in to the kitchen and made our sub. This place is a true McMinnville gem. The sub was meaty and huge. The bread was so soft but had the crunchy top as it should. All the veggies were super fresh and the dressing, a Dijon style vinaigrette made this sub mouth watering. The meatball was incredible, we should have ordered more. The ball itself was firm but tender. My fork glided through like butter. The flavor was juicy and herby. The sauce it's steeped in was the perfect compliment. It truly left me wanting more. If visiting McMinnville this neighborhood restaurant is a must try. Please know if you are ordering pizza or calzones it is a bit of a wait because they make everything fresh. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We hit them at a not great time as they let us know when we walked in that they were running out of most things. Thankfully, the reason we stopped in was not in jeopardy. We were looking to get sandwiches about 40 minutes before their closing. They still had sandwich makings! From a locals perspective the new location has had a rocky start. We don't feel the menu is truly firing on all cylinders. Yes the pizza is good. The salads adequate. The sandwiches tasty but not too special. Mac's cuisine library has expanded and G's has peer and better competition now. I ordered the mama Geraldi's garden salad to go after working in the yard all day. I was starving. I got the large was 14.95 I believe and it was delicious. I got it with the blue cheese dressing. It came with little tiny, sliced grape tomatoes, sliced black olives, red onions ,artichoke hearts and a dusting of feta which was plenty.. it was Perfect except I could've used a couple more pieces of the artichokes. It was just some of the leaves I think .other than that, it was really good.!! that's gonna be my go to place from now on for salads! read more
