Just came in to relax and have a coffee. I ordered and then went to get a cup of water. The water was all gone. I told the employee working there and instead of refilling it or getting someone to refill it, she busied herself cleaning tables and dumping the dishes into the bin making lots of noise. Then she proceeded to work on the trash bins. I never got the water. I tried cafe au lait for the first time and would not get it again. Should have got a cappuccino. I decided to pour my coffee in a cup and just leave.

We stopped by to grab breakfast and it did not disappoint. The burrito was flavorful, and the salsa paired well. The tortilla was cooked perfectly as well as the eggs. I am very picky with my breakfast burritos, but this one was perfect. The matcha on the other hand, not the best. Kind of tasted more like Nesquik strawberry milk with a hint of matcha. If you like your matcha on the sweeter side this is the place for you! Their coffee on the other hand was great, no complaints there! I did a To-go order, which was ready before the set time. Especially with being on the go I appreciate the timely response. The staff were super nice and even offered a water cup for our dog. Definitely stopping by when I'm back!

This cafe is in a small community. We found this on a road trip and it was definitely worth the side quest. I love the vibe of the cafe. They had a large outside seating area. We came for the breakfast and was sold on the pastries and drinks. You order with the cashier and they bring your food out. There were plenty of umbrellas to protect you from the sun. We ordered the veggie burrito and the BLT. Drinks included lattes and orange juice not pictured. If I could give the food and pastries 10 I would. We tried the Mexican wedding cookie, passion fruit cheesecake, berry vanilla danish and apple coffee cake muffin. This was worth the drive. Please visit. The people were so kind.

This quickly became my choice for breakfast in Carpinteria. It's clearly both a local and tourist favorite--by 8 a.m. there was already a crowd, and when we drove by around 11, even the outdoor seating was full. Food My dad ordered the Avocado Toast (avocado, tomato, pickled shallots, olive oil, lemon zest, micro basil, balsamic drizzle). There's an option to add a soft egg, which he wanted but forgot to mention. It looked beautiful, though the taste leaned on the simple side. As Indians, we prefer more seasoning in avocado, but avocado purists will probably appreciate the clean, straightforward flavor. My mom and I both had the Breakfast Sandwich (egg, sausage, cheddar cheese, caramelized onions, tomato, arugula). Served on sourdough bread, it was an elevated version of a classic--arguably one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had. The sourdough was a perfect choice, adding a slight tang and sturdiness without being too heavy. Whatever spread they use ties everything together, making it flavorful without being greasy. Bonus points for that bread! We also shared the Pumpkin Sticky Bun--imagine pumpkin pie filling baked into a sticky bun. It was heavenly and the perfect sweet finish on a cool fall morning. If I lived in town, I'd come back just for that. The menu also tempts with items like the Sweet Loco Monkey Toast, Savory Breakfast Tartin, and Griddled Banana Bread with Whipped Honey Ricotta. Bakery & Lunch Beyond breakfast, there's a full bakery case with croissants, cookies, pastries, muffins, and scones, plus paninis and sandwiches for lunch. It's one of those places where you want to take something home for later. Atmosphere Seating is available both indoors and outdoors, with a cozy fire pit adding warmth and ambiance outside. Inside, the space is bright and welcoming, with an elegant yet casual feel that makes it easy to settle in for a relaxed breakfast or mid-morning coffee. Overall Creative menu, great execution, and a lively but comfortable atmosphere. If I lived in Carpinteria, I'd be a regular here for sure. 4.5 stars rounded to 5!

This is a great little coffee shop! There are many things on the menu that I am wanting to try. We got a side of toast (with butter and jam) and a pastry. Employees were very nice and helpful. We sat outside near the fire pit and it was very comfortable!

So many reasons to love Brass Bird Coffee! The location has awesome outdoor seating with most tables in the shade. There are a few tables inside with the majority of the seating is outside. There was a line to order drinks and food, but it moved quickly. We ordered a hot cinnamon horchata latte, an iced horchata latte, a hot chocolate, the brown sugar cinnamon toaster pastry, and the chocolate croissant. The hot cinnamon horchata latte was amazing. It was sweet without being too sweet. I loved the creamy cinnamon flavor and would come back for this drink. The iced horchata did not taste as good as the hot one. It tasted more diluted with milk. The hot cocoa was not very chocolately so we asked for an extra side of chocolate sauce to add in and it helped make it sweeter. The brown sugar toaster pastry was served warm, which I highly recommend. It was delicious. The chocolate croissant was flaky without being crunchy. Both pastries were delicious, but if I had to chose I would get the brown sugar toaster pastry. The menu at Brass Bird has a variety of sweet and savory food items. I saw some people order full on breakfasts like a breakfast burrito. They also have a variety of drinks to choose from. I loved my first visit here and will definitely come back!

Still great the second time around! Everything came out quickly and was delicious. Service was once again friendly and helpful. Got to sit outside after the most recent rain storm and it was beautiful. Definitely stoked to have found this place!

Matcha latte and ham cheese croissant

First time visiting this place, and I'm not impressed with the matcha latte - it's got a weird play-doh taste. However, the ham and cheese croissant was a pleasant surprise!

This is the perfect brunch/breakfast place in Carp! They have a ton of outdoor seating for large groups and small. The coffee is always delicious and they have seasonal coffee menus. We came for the brunch on Saturday and everything we had was delicious. The service is fairly fast for how busy it gets. The eggs Benedict was delicious and the hollandaise sauce was really good. You definitely can't go wrong with anything here !

Food and drinks are pretty good! I really liked the breakfast sandwich, 10/10. Menu items can be on the pricier side, but it's definitely reasonable given the serving sizes and quality of food & drinks. The staff is also always friendly. Vibes are great for chatting with friends over brunch or catching up on some work/reading. They have seating outside on the patio and although it can get busy, it's usually not too hard to find an empty table. Highly recommend stopping by!

I was running errands in Carpinteria and was eager to try a new coffee spot. I was across the street from Brass Bird and decided to check it out. Their setting is so cute. Customers were enjoying the Thursday afternoon sitting outside. I peeked at their food menu and saw several items I'd love to try! The wallpaper in their bathroom is adorable. Love the design all around. My sister was so excited to try their horchata latte. She raved about it! I opted for a matcha drink and loved it. This is such a fun spot! I can't wait to come back.

Lavender Late STARS 5/5

Ambiance ~ STARS 5/5 Calm and comfortable with a choice of sitting in the shade, by a fire pit, or in the sun while listening to calming music. Food ~ STARS 5/5 The pastries are joy to the eyes right up against the counter. The fresh sourdough bread is delicious! The smoky salmon toast on cream cheese is mouth watering. The vegetable breakfast burrito was absolutely satiating. The lates are delivered in a large cup topped with a heart design and filled with a creamy foam. Parking ~ STARS 5/5 close to the entrance and easy to park even during the busy times during breakfast or lunch.

Tried it out for the first time. Order at the counter. They give you a number and bring out your drinks and food at different times. Ordered the chilaquiles, breakfast burrito, honey lavender latte, cold brew coffee. All very tasty. Lots of outside seating. Very busy place. Limited parking. Will definitely be back again.

Wow so much seating!

A very upbeat and refreshing option for light meals and baked goods. A much needed option to large box coffee sites.

As someone who has traveled to Europe many times and tried a variety of local chocolatiers there,…read morethe huge stream of 5-star reviews (and finding out the owners were French) had me ecstatic. However, my experience was disappointing. The two girls in the shop were almost asleep. One was barely conscious, the other was trying to make up for her. The chocolates looked very interesting, but they were rather dull-looking and often hard to differentiate because the display case had no lights. Add to this the already dim lighting of the store and that it was an overcast day outside, and it felt like trying to buy chocolates in an old library. As for the chocolates themselves, they did not taste like French/European chocolates at all; they had the very standard American chocolate taste-that is, Hershey-like and with no deep resounding real cacao flavor that is like bass from a speaker on your tongue. That's what real European chocolate tastes like. This was just sugar, sugar, sugar, and cute designs. Maybe they are using cheaper American ingredients rather than importing higher quality ones? No point in having the Eiffel Tower on your logo if you wouldn't be able to keep this store open in France. But the best part: the girl at the counter didn't let me try anything other than the three pre-selected types of bon bons on the sample tray! How cheap can you get? I've never had any chocolatier deny a sample of a simple truffle, especially not one with the gall to charge $3 per chocolate in a tiny town like Carp! $35 for a dozen, just to not even be able to try what you are putting in the box? You must be joking. Anyways, onto trying to find another good chocolatier in the 805...
