We love to take a train ride whenever we visit somewhere new. This trip was no different. When we saw Branson had a scenic railway, we signed up for it right away. The depot was nice, bathrooms were clean. Plenty of items to choose from in the gift shop. Smooth ride, scenery was nice, and the music played was suiting and enjoyable. Only thing I would say I didn't care for is the push for live entertainment. While waiting to board the train, they had a crew member sing a couple of songs. She also walked up and down the cars while the train was in motion singing to the guests. Not saying anything negative about her singing, just not what we expected for a train ride. Would recommend if you're in the area.

If you're looking to kill time in Branson and want to do something unique take a 1.5 hour tour on the Scenic Historic Railway. Take a trip back in time and view the Ozark Hills via a glass dome train car complete with snacks, drinks, local talent and mingle with strangers from all over. I recommend booking the First Class Dome car as the views are practically 360°. It does get hot in the car (think Greenhouse) so dress accordingly for the weather. Your First Class ticket included unlimited beverages and a boxed charcuterie lunch (not bad) and a gift of a tote bag & keepsake tumbler. the onboard "entertainment" was "meh" so I suggest you enjoy this excursion with a good attitude and make some new friends while riding the rails.

The train ride was good, the tour guide gave us cool History along the way. The service was kind and really helpful. We sat in the domed car and just with the window were a little cleaner and not full if dust, we still saw through it just for taking picture it would've been nice. Small complaint.

It was relaxing Comfortable seats and well maintained Could barely hear the narrator and he could have spoken more about the isolate scenery we went thru

We sat in the domed seating. And it was worth it. The views are beautiful. The narrator spoke just enough and gave interesting information. The train ride was a train so not perfect and smooth but it is a train. Cars were well maintained and comfortable to sit in. Spend the money to get the dome you will see more! Because of the routes scenic wooded route you do see a lot of trees so if you don't want to be looking at nature untouched or manicured then this is not for you. There is a bit of walking to the train. And two of our cars loaded and unloaded on the gravel so if walking is hard for you... but they did have someone in a golf cart carrying people to the end.

Really long walk from parking lot, long walk to train from station. Seats so crowded we were knee to knee with strangers. Music blasted in our ears the entire ride. But beautiful scenery. Go only if you like crowded trains and can walk 1/2 mile.

Very popular tourist trap that I wish I had avoided. The staff is very nice, but the experience just fell flat. You get to ride on a neat old train. They have old 1940's music playing throughout the ride. But it's an hour and 45 min of trees and weeds. It's not nearly as "scenic" as it's made out to be. You can't hardly see anything. There are a couple highlights where you go over an old trestle and get a good view, you go through a couple tunnels, but those are over in just a matter of seconds. Overall, would not recommend. One of the people in my party loves trains and was pretty disappointed in this experience as well. We were expecting something much more "scenic." The snack cart had a pretty long line. Food items were moderately priced, which was a nice surprise as we didn't get a chance to have breakfast before the trip. There are also a couple tiny restrooms on board each panoramic car--there was a bit of a wait at times.

Save your money & time unless you just want to say you rode a train. ZERO scenery .Both side of track covered with trees or rock.

Was nothing scenic about this train ride. The only thing we seen was trees. Very disappointed and a big waste of money. Would not recommend.

The train is really smooth and quiet and my family and I were content just sitting in the dome car.

He talked about the area as we drove, had some great stories, and pointed out several things that I definitely want to do when we come back again. The tour went to some beautiful overlooks, we were able to get out at spots to take in the view, and take pictures. Jerry was knowledgeable about the history of the landmarks and you can tell he loves educating others about it. We have two teenagers and he managed to keep them interested in the historical part, and keep them on the toes for the off road part. We all had a blast! Also, the woman working the check in counter was super nice when we arrived. We enjoyed visiting with her while we waited for the tour to start.

Pink Jeep tours made me look like a planning genius and Mel was the best tour guide. I loved when he confirmed things had already told my Uber traveled friend and he really sold Branson as the coolest place to live on the planet. I have a whole list of more things to check out and restaurants to try. We even asked him about a fun place to try in Arkansas and he had all his friends help us find a primo lunch shop combo in Omaha Arkansas. Mel is a magnificent guide and we were so blessed by his humor good nature and amazing driving ability

It's nothing like the old tours used to be. About 50 minutes of it was just sitting in Branson traffic while the tour guide made small talk. There were very few facts actually given about what we were passing as drove by. Then they switched captains and we gently went into the water (no fun splash anymore) and we very slowly cruised around Lake Taneycomo for maybe 10 minutes and then we went back and sat in more traffic. The kids are no longer allowed to "drive" the boat. It was the most disappointing waste of $200. I wanted to love it but I really just couldn't.

Kept us all listening and entertained. 2) It's not one of those history-heavy duck tours. I can't stand when they throw a lot of knowledge at you. I can't remember it and I just want to enjoy it. This is a fun one, guys. Also, no offense to Branson, but there's no history here. As far as I can tell this is a "if you build it they will come and spend money" type of place. 3) It's like an hour or so long so you can get back to shopping or seeing a show or whatever is tugging at your wallet. The host was great - super nice and super memorable guy - loved it.

Tour is very well organized. The Bear Creek Winery is in an amazing location with great views from the deck. Driver was very friendly although I'd recommend being proactive about asking questions about the area as the tasting and dinner is the focus, this isn't a sightseeing tour per se outside the 4 stops. Dinner was downtown in the new area of Branson and food and service were good but not "gourmet" about what you'd expect as this isn't a foodie tour. You have a choice of chicken, steak, or salmon. Given the reasonable price for the whole experience though, if you are a steak connoisseur I'd skip the steak, not bad at all, but the Salmon and Chicken are in my opinion better options if you are finicky about your steak.

For the price (just under $700) the tour was not worth it. A lot of lights were out during our drive thru at Great Wolf Lodge. We then went through the Joy lights that were pirate themed. Not impressed with either display. At one of the gingerbread stops, our group went to grab some waters/soda, when I informed our driver, she said she had bottled water the whole time. On our way back to our drop off location, we experienced a blown tire. Our driver tried contacting her company and she said no one would answer her. I ended up texting the owner informing him that we were on the side of the road with a flat and no one would answer to help her. I received no response but moments after the texts were sent, our driver received a phone call. My husband and brother in law ended up changing the tire so we could be on our way. Our driver told us the owner would be in contact to "take care of the incident and help she received from our group". A week after the tour, I had to reach out to the company because I did not hear from them. The owner Joe called and had a list of excuses as to why he didn't reach out. He also told me that when he received word of us on the side of the road, he had to step out of a show he was viewing while on vacation with his wife. He told me he fired our driver and she had our contact information. He didn't want to tell me how much he would refund so he didn't insult us. he wanted us to tell him how much we wanted. After discussing with our group, we decided on a reimbursement amount and I texted Joe (the owner). We came upon an amount by saving someone from changing the tire and also not missing our driver's second tour that evening. My second text was to confirm he could just refund my credit card and not mail a check and he said yes. Another week goes by with no credit card refund. I texted the owner again and he finally says he can't refund us the amount we decided on but could give us half of what we requested. He'd also refund us our credit card fee. When I asked if he had my card info, he said yes from our initial registration. Ironic that he now has my info but didn't when it came time to reach out to us initially. If you do utilize this company, hopefully everything goes smoothly so you don't have to deal with the owner to settle things. Good luck!
