I never once doubted that she was in the most capable and caring hands. After we moved to Florida, we were no longer able to continue seeing Dr. Julian, and sadly, we ultimately had to say goodbye to Lucy due to lymphoma. Even so, I will forever be grateful for the many healthy, happy years she had under his care. I was "scheduled" for a surgery date but that seemed to go nowhere too. Luckily my dog has been taken care of already at another practice, but it's unfortunate this practice is run this way and you have to call and constantly be on top of them for anything to go anywhere. We brought Gilly to Red Lion after visiting blue pearl after she broke her back leg. After shopping…read morearound for this complex surgery, and almost at the point our puppy was going to lose her leg, we found Red Lion and they agreed to move their schedule around to save Gilly's leg on top of it being the most reasonable price. The staff is amazing, Dr.Jones is a modern day Saint Francis. Gilly had to endure surgery, follow ups, surgery for hardware removal, and it all went flawlessly. They recently spayed her and she is a very small dog, chihuahua/dachshund and her incision was a thumb nail long. She was back to her normal self the next day. Wound is clean and healthy looking. Gilly actually loves to go back and visit her medical team. Everyone from the front desk to the operating room are top notch. I have 10 vets within 3 mile radius, but I will forever drive the 30 mins for my pets. There is no better Veterinary Hospital in the area. Read the Bio of the Doctors and Gilly's Doctor, Dr.Luke Jones is quite amazing. I'm just love this place, and even though it Took Gilly's broken leg to find them, we found it to be the silver lining.

Between getting into the car, to the car ride itself, to the doctor taking her away from me on a slippery floor while I have to wait in the car, it's always a super stressful event - for both of us. It was getting to the point, however, that a vet visit was a necessity in order to get a prescription for her preventative medications, so I went on a hunt to find a visiting vet. Dr. de Jong (who introduced herself as "Kathy" - how friendly is that!) was very responsive to my messages and came out pretty quickly after I got in touch with her. Her nurse, Jill, was also a wonderful blessing. Both of them were just so kind and thorough, and did I mention kind? Friendly. Gentle (literally, like the name of her business!). They explained everything they were going to do before they did it, asked permission to place their items here or there, and were overall exceedingly pleasurable to deal with. They performed annual exams on all my pets, took blood, collected stool samples, administered vaccines, and did it all while trying to keep the pets as calm and comfortable as possible. What normally would be a days-long recovery from a traumatic vet visit, with my senior dog limping from tired muscles, and my cat rubbing his nose raw on the cat carrier, took only an hour. I can't recommend Kathy and Jill enough. If I could give more stars, I would! They are true angels! XOXOXO.
